Hallo, we have a small farm 2km away from the village Hodejovec, suroundet by forest. It's around 20km from the city Rimavska Sobota.
We have some houses here what need to be reconstruct, we keep some animals like cows, ponies, pigs, ostrich, dogs. Doing some gardening to have our own vegetables, potatoes, fruits, everything bio. In season we are busy to prepare food for the animals - hay, straw, corn silage, seeding and cutting wheat, preparing wood for the winter time and between these normal farming jobs try to do some cleaning up the area, renewing of the buildings and machine maintenance. Baking our own bred and cakes, preparing jam from our fruit, sirups,wine, collecting herbs, try to live healthy and independent.
We are just with 2 persons, me (Slovak) and my husband (Belgium) so some hands to help with animals, in garden, on field or on buildings, etc. are welcome.
We speak Slovak, Flemish (Dutch), English, German.

Our farm and campsite is a friendly place in sunny southern Slovakia. During the summer we have place for 1 or 2 volunteers to help us with our horses and dairy sheep and goats. All help with other farm work is also welcome. We have a small camp site with fully equiped canvas tents for rent and in 2013 we will have one especially set up for our volunteers. The tent will have space for two and a fully equiped camp kitchen. Our sanitairy building is close by. We prefer a stay of min. two weeks. Half days work in exchange for accomodation and free farm products like milk, cheese and vegetables.
We are 22km from the Hungarian border where you can get a direct bus to Budapest.

We do not accept volunteers anymore.
We are a medium-sized farm set in a beautiful natural setting under the High Tatra Mountains - the highest peaks of the enchanting Carpathian Mountains rich in wildlife and natural beauty.
However, it does not work well with volunteers in our farm as it is not the type of farms most volunteers are looking for and we wish to avoid further disappointment. Visitors welcome to see the farm.

We have a horse farm close to hungarian border-Sturovo-Esztergom. The breed is Haflinger-very calm and easily managable kind of horse.We teach kinds on them.Besides horses there are other animals as chickens, rabbits, goats. The place is surraunded by nature and there is a possibility to learn horse back ride. We are looking for someone to help around horses, house and who would bring some positive energy in as well. There is only the family living here.
Bigger cities close by are Budapest (1hour) and Bratislava (1hour). There is a separete house that we can offer . Food is always homemade and delicios! for more info feel free to contact me.
