You are welcome at Bogata Suma ("Rich forest"), our initiative in nature. We left citylife in The Netherlands to live on our organic homestead (15 hectares) on the top of a hill, inland Croatia, with forests all around.

As a volunteer we expect you to be part of our family and daily routines.

Usually we start the day with weeding the vegetable garden (as a morning meditation) and after that, we work on something that is high on our priority list.
In July & August we need help with the construction of a natural playground, and in September-October we're working on our forest garden.
Besides that, we can work on other (smaller) projects like pruning (30 plum trees in May), composting, fencing the terrain, cleaning terrain, planting (fruit) trees and shrubs, harvesting, processing the harvest (drying in solar dryer, making jam/syrup/wine/liqueur) and some construction work. Experience the authentic process of wine making and grape harvesting during September or October. Lend us a helping hand during the afternoons and we will reciprocate with free stay and a meal. We usually start work around noon and continue till about 4 in the afternoon. The rest of the day can be spent enjoying all the riches the area has to offer.
Accomodation is available in four apartments, each having two double rooms,kitchen / dining area and bathroom.The house has a lovely terrace with barbeque, two canoes for use and a pebble beach just 30meters ahead.

Help needed with learning German or Italian in Split,occasionally we need help with cleaning the house, but not often!
We are an easy-going married couple Renata (40) and Bango (52) living in Stobrec near Split. Bango works and I am unemployed at the moment. We've been married for 17 years.Our house is 10 min walk from the beach. The climate is very nice with lots of "spring" days during winter. The area is ideal for windsurfing, hiking, running, swimming, diving etc. We are hikers and spend most weekends hiking.We host couch surfers.Split is a 1700 year old city that offers all in one - beautiful nature, night life, museums, entertainment and outdoor and indoor activities. With mountains in the north, islands in the south, coastal villages close to Split there's plenty to see and do during your stay here. We have a vegetable garden and the helper can join us there but doesn't need to. The helper would need to share the cleaning duties for about an hour per day twice a week.

Hello

I run a hostel in Hvar town but also run an Olive farm 5km from the town. I am looking for 2-4 people to help me pick Olives daily (7-8 hours per day) from approximately October 20-25 to December 10-15. I may need you to look after the hostel for the first 10 days or so of the period as the summer season ends here.

Accommodation and food in the hostel is free of charge for the duration of this time.

Olive picking is fun, simple to do and a great experience.
