We are family with 2 boys. We live 60km from Tallinn in a small village. We are starting to build our own house. The first building is sauna-house. We already have a small vegetable garden and some apple and plum trees. Around our area there are a lot of swamps. We have a lot of woods and untouched nature in Estonia.
We need somebody who can help to finish up a wooden sauna, covering the house inside walls with clay, putting down wooden floor etc. We don't need necessarily an expert, but somebody who is willing to help.
We need some help in the garden. Picking berries, cutting grass etc.
Accommodation:
One private room with a wide bed in our apartment. All conveniences - warm water, bathroom, water toilet ,high speed internet, TV.

Hi, I am Hannes, 30 years old Estonian guy. I am a new owner to a historic country house in southern Estonia. The house was built in 1830s and served originally as an roadside inn. Now the busy days are long gone, the time stood still in this place for many years. My aim is to restore the building, preserving as much of its old and rustic flavor as possible. I also started to get interested in permaculture gardening. So, there is a lot to do, but there's no hurry. It is all in a very early stage. Helpers are expected to work 2-4 hours per day for a simple meal and bed. There is possibility to choose between different tasks. It is a lgbt-friendly place. People from different cultures are seen as a great possibility to expand the horizons without leaving home. I speak English and German.

I am German, living since 23 years in Estonia and saving an old, very rare horse breed, the Old-Tori Horses. Its one of the smallest studbooks in Europe and these horses are wonderful.

I manage a farm with 21 horses in open stables on my own and would need help with building fences, some smaller reparations, taking care of the animals.

My farm is very small and tiny, but old Estonian furniture and decorations make it cosy and give a wonderful feeling for old-Estonian farmlive. The farm is located in the middle of a forest and its very quiet and calm here.

Here await you 2 dogs, 3 cats, about 30 chicken (also brooding themselves and old breed Livonian farmhens).

I can offer you free staying in a small cosy guest room, food and of course you can explore South-Estonia from here.

"Back to basics" historic but young organic sheep farm in lovely nature welcomes your help on your adventure!

Our family farm in South-Estonia looks very private thanks to the lovely hilly landscape where it is located, yet it is in the middle of a small village Assikvere in South Estonia, about 50km from university town Tartu.

Farm's main activity is growing black-head sheep (about 300 heads). At the moment we are using approx. 100ha of land. Additionally the potatoes and several other vegetables (garlic, strawberry, rootbeet, carrot, beans, green peas etc.) are growed and volunteers welcomed. Our family of 5 lives part-time in Tartu and part-time in this country farm (named Lauri farm).

Farm´s main living building was built in 1919 and is an example of Estonian country mansion architecture with its size, height, porch etc. It is unrenovated. Sheep growing in farm began at year 2008 so we are new in this and we are growing. 2 production buildings have been built since th... more inside

We are a young Estonian-Canadian family (Iisak, Maris and Jaako (07.2017)) who recently acquired a small old farm property in the Deep South of Estonia which we are slowly restoring back to its original beauty. We are surrounded by forests which we share with deer, moose, wild boar, foxes and endless species of birds. We also live in an area where the ancient Seto Culture is still very much alive. Built in between 1910-1938, we have an old stone stable, log barn and have just recently moved into the tiny cabin which we renovated with the help of volunteers in 2014/15.

We are experimenting with permaculture and are striving to be as self-sufficient as possible. We work lots with the other young awesome families in the nearby village, who have sheep, chickens and some horses who you just may be able to ride... We ourselves enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens, milk, cheese and other tasty treats from our milking goats and awesome rides in the forest on our Estonian horse.

3 more weeks to go till we close the hostel for the season. Come help us take the tents down and pack everything away. Get warm in the sauna and enjoy the autom estonia has its best - full of berries and mushrooms!

The vision of the hostel is to share an alternative and sustainable happy and vibrant space, where people can relax and enjoy.

Last 4 years me and Jim have gone through an immense journey and pushing many limits to establish our place. We live completely off-grid in Lahemaa National Park and we love it! Surrounded by old growth forest, we have spent our days developing our home and site into an honest example of sustainable 'low impact' living. We believe in using only natural and reclaimed materials when constructing, and have renovated our log cabin home this way. In addition, we have built a straw-bale sauna, an outside kitchen, cordwood chicken shed and finishing up outside showers (3) and new outside compost toilets (4). We have run various events and worksho... more inside

Hi, tere-tere !
We are a french couple, living in South Estonia. We own 2 hectares land hidden in the forest. At home, nature is wild : we are surrounded by trees and animals. We live, since september 2016, in our wood cabin. We also have : traditional wood chalet ("Ait", in estonian), old rock stable, sauna (both need repairs), small pound, grassland. Our green island is reliving, after 25 years without nobody.

Our plan is to develop, to reclaim and to protect this environment thanks to permaculture philosophy and technics. We try to limit thermic tools, for example, or to recycle anything we have. We wish to be self-sufficient as soon as possible.

We work at home, organizing our time between animals (2 geese, 4 ducks, 8 chickens, 1 lamb, 2 dogs and a cat), gardening, managing house and managing land.

Our way of life is a little bit old fashioned : firewood lifestyle and no running water. But we have electricity, super powerful Wifi and many cute spots to camp.

What ab... more inside

We are a family who is working on returning an old Estonian farmstead to its former glory. We are located in Estonia's largest and oldest National Park - Lahemaa, and our farm's history dates back many centuries. The oldest building we working on restoring is from year 1809!

At the moment our main focus is raising fiber animals (fine wool sheep, angora goats, angora rabbits), but we also have dairy goats who supply us with delicious milk (and cheese, yogurt etc). We plan to start organic farming in 2018.

We are looking for helpers to help with everyday farming (taking care of the animals, looking after our vegetable garden etc). We are happy to welcome you anytime of the year!

This summer I'm back at my birth home on the island Muhu. We would need help with arranging our fire wood and some other works.

Muhu is a nice place to spend your vacation. There are many events also taking place on the island and on the bigger island nearby. My village is very quiet and a perfect place to relax.

We are a family with 4 small children.
We moved to the countryside about 2 years ago and try to create a comfortable home from an old farmhouse in the middle of a wild nature. Enjoying it tremendously and would like to share this experience!
We have a few animals (incl. two small horses, goat and chicken) and we plan to have more, tiny vegetable garden and tons of work to be done.

This summer the biggest work to get done is changing all the floors in our house. Also there are smaller projects like building fences and some repairing here and there. And we are always grateful for help with looking after children, taking care of the animals, gardening and cooking.
