Welcome everybody to the nature and the heart of Lithuania!
We are a young family settled in the centre Lithuania, far away from cities we are settlet in a river valley, behind forest, surounded by wild nature. Many forests and swamps around, there is a streamy river Šventoji nearby. We are creating a self sufficient homestead, just started living in a wild place off-the-grid, so we have a lot of to do yet. It is the first steps to living sustainably. We have just built a tiny straw bale house, we're starting gardens for a partly food supply for all the year.
Our greatests interests are permaculture, gardening, cob building and straw bale structure. Also we are much interested in unschooling, alternative childrearing, natural childbearing. We look for people, who are interested in similar things as we do who has some experience in alternative country-side life. My farmstead is a result of a huge wish and a hard work we've passed to obtain this farmland. Me and my wife, we are a young family, and just moved from a city back to where we belong the countryside and nature. We are philosophers of an organic life style. Low impact living, creativity, music and nature describes the interest we're all living with.
We are creating the permaculture garden and edible forest garden almost from scratch. This is the first year of a project and lots of different works and projects should be completed. Everybody is able to give his ideas in to the future paradise!
My farmstead is located in the north part of Lithuania, next to the Latvian border. Next to my 4ha land plot we have lots of wild forests, small springs and fields. Lots of fun and lots of work the best describes the curent situation :)
