Hi, we are a couple close to 50 years old but young at heart! We live in the country, on a wooded land that we bought a few years ago. We have many projects but not enough time to do everything! Amongst other things, we need hands to help us cut our wood (use a chainsaw, split the wood and pile it). We are also making walking trails on our land. We need help to clean the trails. An apartment will be provided with all necessary equipment (appliances, dishes, bed sheets, towels, etc...). Help required for approximately 2 weeks at the beginning of May. Helping hours to be discussed.

Nous avons ... more inside

Over the last dozen years with a lot of help from people from HelpX.net we have turned this place from an neglected piece of land to a really neat farm. This season we will be raising chickens, a couple of pigs and a couple of beef cattle plus a large organic garden and a small orchid. We also plan to spend a lot of time this summer working on trails and clearing land. Since 2005 we have had a total of 45+ people come and stay with us. Some come for as little as a week and others came for the season. Several helpers have even come back year after year. Located in the rolling hills of Prince Edward Island Canada this 150 acre farm has been certified organic. To date we have restored the original farmhouse and built or restored eight out-buildings, including a machine shop, Garage, pigionier(it's a long story) and a several barns, planted large garden and small orchard, made a large pond and cleared some trials in woods. Check out our website for pictures and information. Lots of wo... more inside

We look forward to welcoming new friends starting Mid April.

Our family live in a century old farm house on a three acre property outside of Victoria by the Sea, PEI.

Easiest way to get to our home is by Maritime Bus - with a drop off in Crapaud.

We have traveled extensively, are entrepreneurial (we own Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Centre, founder of Study Abroad Canada Language Institute, and some rental properties. If you need to learn English - we can help you find the best school in Canada. (We do not work a traditional 9 -5 Mon to Fri) We have chosen to live in PEI to raise our two girls (13) and (14). The girls each have a cat: Moo and Cookie. We love the out doors, going to the beach, canoeing and sailing.

We enjoy meeting new people from different parts of the world, and believe that we can learn from each other. We are looking for independent, creative, energetic workers who love life and enjoy a challenge!

We are a small family farm nestled in the rolling hills of Queens county 5 minutes from Cavendish PEI. Our quiet and secluded property has its own creek/trout pond for fishing or swimming on hot days. The closest local beach is an easy bike ride away. We raise sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, and rabbits. We operate a CSA, an on-farm meat store and offer tours of the farm during the summer. We would love some help with the daily farm and household duties. A second floor bedroom and private bath await your arrival and there are bicycles for exploring the surrounding countryside and a canoe for exploring the local rivers. We look forward to meeting you.

We will not be requiring any help now until May of 2018. But please keep us in mind if you will be looking near that time.
We are a semi-retired couple, Merrill and Martha, living in a small town just outside Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We live in a small duplex, having moved last year from a very large estate home in the country.
We are seasoned HelpX hosts (16 helpers so far) and very much enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences. We are well-educated, well-traveled and have a broad world view. We are lacto-ovo vegetarian (but not the annoying kind!) and we have two cats.
A valid driver’s license would be very helpful. Also, for everyone’s peace of mind, we ask that our guest be insured with work/travel insurance. House is equipped with WiFi.
If you are a creative, energetic, outgoing person who is seeking a unique experience in one of Canada’s most beautiful locations, please be in touch! We are located in the middle of PEI so all points east an... more inside

Hello, We have on the coast of Maine a small 5 acre National Park vacation yurt rental and we need help maintaining, greeting guests, simple but regular housecleaning, getting in wood, and general managing. We specifically need help at the end of May to the beginning of October 2018. Our helpers work approx. 2 hours a day and have a little 13 ft. off-the-grid yurt to sleep in, and an outdoor kitchen and a shed to store personal belongings, as well. There is no electricity, no bathroom (only an outhouse)and showering is only available at the local YMCA for $2. The property is on a dirt road in a pretty residential neighborhood. We have a spectacular location for exploration of nature by bike or using the bus shuttle to and from Acadia National Park. No individuals under 18 and no drugs or smokers, please.. Dog welcome. Please let us know your situation, and we will see if we are a good match. Bruce & Melissa (owners)
And, Thank You!
