Hello, we are an older couple living in a house with 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. My husband loves to cook and look after people. I am still busy helping my daughter with her business. We have a golden retriever and a cat in the house, both part of the family and we love them very much.
We live right on the Bay of Fundy, at a beach, and it is beautiful.

Since we are older, we would need help with mowing, painting, walking the dog, etc. I am also a vendor at the wolfville farm market and might need help there also. We are always busy in the summer and there is always stuff to do. I will spend time also in Harbourville, where we have cottage rentals and would also take you with me to Harbourville.

You will have your own room, great food and be right on the water.
Drop me a line of you are interested. Cheers, Maria

hello helper,

thank you for being interested in my ad. I live in wolfville in an old farm house of 1896, right on the main street with bus stop in front of the house. In the back of the house is a pure garden of Eden with apples, peaches, prunes, etc., just lovely for walking and relaxing.

I would need help with:
painting, stacking wood, taking the dogs for walks, cleaning, and lending a hand around the house, mowing, housekeeping and maybe looking after AirBnB room rentals.

You will have your own room and Wifi.

Cheers. E.

Hi there. We are a very cool mother and son who are developing five acres into a sustainable, off grid homestead on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Our plans include having AirBnB cottages/tiny homes, teaching studio and meditation retreat. We are looking for people who are hardworking, skilled or eager to learn. We would welcome individuals or couples to share this experience with us for a few days, a week, or for whatever long is available.

My son Jorel does lots of forestry and has a band saw mill to cut most of the lumber needed on our land. He does heavy duty and small engine repair, carpentry, and is very interested in sharing and learning new skills. He has travelled abroad for many years and experienced WWOOFing (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). We are super excited to share our little piece of the world to others interested in this lifestyle.

I am Johanna, the mom. I have previously owned a Bed and Breakfast, taught craft and decorating classes f... more inside

We live on 81 acres of beautiful Nova Scotia forest and field. We have 36 Alaskan huskies, 1 rottweiler, 2 rottie crosses and 1 Podenco.

Your farm experience here will include assisting Deb with the dogs, and Jonathan with various building and clearing jobs. There will be daily kennel cleaning(poop scooping) and watering and feeding of the dogs. Also tons of time to just hang out with the dogs.

Our 3 rotties are very friendly and live with us in the house along with BamBam. He is a Padenco from a rescue in Spain. We also have one of the sled dogs living in the house now. So you must love dogs to enjoy your stay here.

No experience required - just a love of animals, and working with them. We will provide training. The work is heavy at times so you must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs. If you know how to use a chainsaw, safely, that would be great but not necessary. Our land needs some trail clearing done as we are running a Sled Dog business and need to develo... more inside

Are looking for a real farm experience and some fun too this is the place for you. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing, paddle boat, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, tv, phone. This is a cross between a homestay and a farmstay- it's a hobby farm with a summer vegetable garden and some livestock. I try to produce as much of my own food as I can on the farm, and the long-term goal is to make the place as self-sufficient as possible. I am constantly working on improving and expanding the farm, as well as doing repairs and renovations as needed. The farm is currently a one-woman show, so it takes a lot of time and effort to stay on top of the work.

Current livestock consists of a small flock of chickens, a few ducks and some quail. This is also the home of the local guinea pig rescue, so there's a varying number of cavies in the house at any given time. There are also 2 small and friendly (though noisy) dogs and 2 cats. If you have allergies, be prepared to bring your medications! There is a guest room available for the helpers, which can be kept pet-free if necessary.

The house/farm is a 20 minute drive from Dartmouth and Halifax. Public transit is av... more inside
