About the Farm:

In winter all our animals are in the home yard and you can help us feed and check on the animals and spring is our calving season.
In summer you can help us with hauling the hay bales (round bales) from the field to the home yard (using tractors and bale wagons), farmyard maintenance, vaccinate calves & do other veterinary work. Also help with the younger horses. In the fall we bale square bales and get ready for the winter.
From early summer into the fall, our cows are out in our summer pasture. We use the horses to move them there and back (cattle drives), and also to go down and check on them.

Other jobs include making, checking and mending fences, general yard tidy up. We also would like you to help with general household duties including cooking as part of our family. If you are mechanically inc... more inside

Hi! Harvest is over for the year! Weaning of calves is over too! Accommodations in the winter change and you will have your own place in Ravenscrag. Saskatchewan is not all flat! Don't miss out! We are the perfect pit stop if you are traveling across Canada. We live in the province of Saskatchewan which is beside Alberta and Manitoba. We are 1-1.5 hours off the transcanada highway #1 and the same amount of time to the USA border with Montana. I am looking for help around the home and there are opportunities to help on the farm. I am substitute teacher, run a small business, active community member, keep a house, writer, take care of animals and help on the farm. My husband operates a mixed farm with 450 beef cattle and 15,000 acres and is a big Toronto Maple Leafs NHL fan. There are lots of old and new machinery and vehicles around the property. There is a shop where machines are fixed and a cleaning plant. The farm seeds canola, peas and wheat. We live in a hamlet called Ravenscr... more inside

Hello there! We are a happy, welcoming couple with a good sense of humour living in the beautiful, vast wilderness of Hudson Bay, Northern Saskatchewan, 1 km from the Northern Provincial Forest.

In the summer we need general help with housekeeping, helping with the livestock, and the upkeep of the garden. This will include weeding, berry picking, weed whacking, upkeep and maintenance of the yard and some painting outside as well as inside, plus feeding of the animals. This year that includes a few pigs and a flock of chickens! Which also means - we are going to be getting eggs as well - and hopefully getting enough to sell. In August, the processing of my vegetable garden- picking, canning, freezing and making preserves.

We are starting on the path to having an organic garden and feeding organic feed to our livestock.

The winter months will be kept busy with upkeep of household chores as well as some painting and refreshing of the home, outside chores include the looki... more inside

Welcome! We invite artists, writers, healers, visionaries, sculptors, engineers, carpenters, organic gardeners, mystics, seekers, teachers, and anyone who would like to participate in creating and building this vision. There are many opportunities for creative projects, including building from recycled materials on the farm. In return, I will provide room and board, access to a library filled with inspirational books and audio, organic food, the company of sweet and kind companion animals, friendship and lots of opportunity for meditation, quiet reflection, nature walks, and a listening ear.

The projects are many and varied and we strive to offer a combination of creativity and inspiration along with the daily tasks such as caring for the animals, the grounds and the trails. Carpentry skills or a desire to learn about carpentry, would be most welcome. If you can build a cabin... then you have a place to stay! I have a lovely summer place in a campground just outside Regina Saskatchewan. It is in a creek valley with the Creek winding through. I have a wee guest house/ sleeping area and there is a shower house and bathroom nearby. This Summer I would enjoy help building an outdoor bathroom with toilet and shower for the volunteers. I can also arrange for you to help with projects throughout the campground if you like. I would require 4 hours work per day for food and lodging . A one week stay is the longest I can provide at this time. Thank-you

Welcome to the sunny and spacious Parkland area of Saskatchewan where you can see for miles/km in every direction. In the words of a German guest, "Mann kann sich nicht sattsehen, an diesem Himmel. Auch Licht und Farben sind unübertroffen sowie die klare und trockene Luft". We operate a mixed farm and Market Garden approximately 140km east of Saskatoon. Because our farm is near Lake Lenore, we have a beautiful view of the lake while we work in the garden. Occasionally, wild deer come wandering through the yard and garden. You can also see moose, coyotes, foxes, bald eagles, wild geese and ducks and many songbirds. The animals on our farm include cows, pigs, chickens, cats and a very friendly border collie dog, Chloe. We often share work, play and meals with our young grandchildren and their parents. We are looking for people who are willing to help in the garden with planting, weeding, mowing, harvesting, preparing for the Farmers' Market and anything else that needs doing. Help wit... more inside
