We offer a unique animal experience on our farm. Our goal on the farm is to make a difference in peoples and animals lives by giving the opportunity to interact with our animals and farm in a very personal way. The majority of the animals roam around the farm so everyone can feed and get to know them. You can't help but smile and feel good:) We offer public hours for people to come visit the animals on the farm as well as private functions like birthday parties and business functions. We are very busy from April - October when we open the gates for public hours, we do only private functions during the winter. We have a variety of farm animals including goats, rabbits, horses, ponies, donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, sheep, alpaca, llama, wallaroo and a cow .

We are looking for help with:
- Daily chores which includes feeding and watering all the animals.

This wilderness backpackers hostel is located 32km South of Jasper on the Icefields Parkway. The hostel is situated in a forest about 0.5km from the impressive and powerful Athabasca River Waterfalls and surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in the world, the Rocky Mountains.

This is a wilderness hostel comprised of 5 beautiful cedar log cabins, the hostel is pretty cool! It's important to know that this hostel is in the wilderness, so good clothing and good shoes or boots are necessary. A strong interest in hiking and the wilderness isn't absolutely necessary but it will make your time more enjoyable. There is world class hiking in the area, swimming and cliff jumping in a nearby lake and lots of wildlife (bears, wolves, cougars, elk and more...!).

The hostel has 2 private rooms and 2 coed dormitories. The kitchen is in a very large cabin that also has a lounge. The kitchen/lounge cabin is open 24 hours. Did I mention it's a great kitchen? It's very good and sp... more inside

We are a small warmblood horse breeding operation located in north central Alberta. We are one hour west of West Edmonton Mall and Edmonton, and 3 hours to Jasper national park. We are non smoking, occasional social drinking. We have two extremely spoiled, small house dogs. And one very large one. We grow our own hay and grain.. We own approx. 14 horses.. some we drive, others we ride, others are broodmares.. Our daughter does equine sports therapy, if this interests you, you may be able to help her.

Depending on your horse experience, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to ride horses. Lots of times we only have young ones that are just being trained. but you will get alot of horse time..

Extra tasks could be lawn maintenance, tack cleaning, possibly helping harvest, handling horses, depending on experience this could be riding or driving or just helping with mares and foals and helping prepare them for inspections. We are in a small town, approx. 90... more inside

Our family of four is looking to find the right person to nanny our children (Sunny 2 and Clancy 4) for an extended period of time.
We live in the countryside, just east of Grande Prairie in the beautiful Peace Country. Here we have built our home together with 40 dogs, 3 horses, a few cows and cats. Soon we would like to also have a few chickens and a garden. We love living the country lifestyle and embrace everything that comes with it. Our children grow up playing outside in the mud or the snow, they don't shy temperatures of -30 C degrees. We encourage them to live active and healthy and love that they can grow up surrounded by animals. If you join us you would be looked at as a full member of our family. While I am at work (I own a dog boarding kennel and run it out of the same house that we live in) you would look after the kids, play and read with them, bath them, cook, clean and do laundry. You would share meals with us on your days on but are free to do what you please on... more inside

Hello, we are a young and very busy family of four living in the Peace Country only 15 minutes east of Grande Prairie, AB.
We are very proud of our young business - a high quality boarding and day care kennel for dogs. Three years ago we started out very small in our garage offering dog boarding to people in our area knowing that Grande Prairie had the need for a quality boarding kennel. Now we have built and operate out of a spiffy brand new facility and can accommodate up to 20 guest dogs. Also, 25 years ago when Aaron was 13 years old he started breeding, training and racing his own sled dog team. Having now raced all over North America in major competitions and winning some prestigious events. We are very proud of our huskies. Together, all those dogs require a lot of attention, care and cleaning up after.
Jobs will involve everything related to the boarding kennel. We feed, walk, train, play, entertain and clean up after our guest dogs all day. After the work is done at th... more inside

My tree nursery is located 120km west of Edmonton and only a 2.5 hour drive away from famous Jasper National Park in the Rocky Mountains.
We need help with stapling, tying and crimping the trees we dug, digging and planting seedlings, caring for the trees in our nursery and you might help with tree planting and landscaping jobs all over Alberta. In spring we sometimes go as far as BC to dig trees. Tree care means pruning, fertilizing, parasite and weed control. Working here also includes renovating and building projects, i.e. fencing, painting or carpentry. There are a beautifully landscaped yard and rock gardens to look after and some fruit picking in summer. One of our helpers is usually in charge of the daily horse chores. As we are all living together we share the household work. The tree business is seasonal - weather permitting we might start as early as the end of March and work until the end of November.
In winter and occasionally if there is time for it in summer we trai... more inside
