Welcome, helpers! We are a mixed (in transition to certified) organic farm operating since 2004 and producing mostly seed crops, Spring and Fall vegetable starts, soft fruit plants, and some native species. Check out our website for more photos and information about the farm (see link above - but please note that we are currently rebuilding our website, with the new one launching in the Winter of 2017).

In 2016 we sold 580 bales of hay, grew 5,000 tomato seedlings of 30+ different heirloom varieties, 25+ varieties of vegetable starts, and produced 175 different seed crops. We also grow garden produce for our household, but do not sell this. This year, in 2017 we now have 230 different seeds that we are growing, including some that we have bred and selected here which is very exciting. We even started 2 new apple varieties!

The farm is home to two children under the age of 14, so volunteers who are 'kid friendly' work best for us. In addition to the plant nursery and seed ga... more inside

We are a 66 acre farm in Qualicum Beach, specializing in sustainably and ethically raised chicken, pork and grass fed beef. We also have horses, goats and a jersey milk cow. We are still in the initial set up phase and are looking for someone to help with the farm chores as well as building projects, gardening, firewood and general farm and garden work. We are full time farmers and have 5 children. For accommodation you would have a private room in a cute little mobile home about a 10 minute walk away from the main farm. We would need someone willing to help out for 30 hours per week for full room and board. We are located in the heart of one of the most beautiful areas on Vancouver island about 10 minutes from the ocean, lakes and some great hikes.

Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River is a beautiful place to experience Fall and Vancouver Island's great outdoors!!! Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the riverís pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature walking and biking trails. This is a 25 acre Sustainable Living Demonstration Site and Education Centre on beautiful farm setting. We are a park, farm, school, and residential community with food services and accommodation services available and hosting to almost 10K people per year. The space is created as a 'Commons' and is run mostly by volunteerism.

Personal ability to work in a team and group dynamic is essential. Emotional maturity to be part of a residential live/work situation a must. Incredible opportunity to meet and work with folks of every walk and talk and meet incredible teachers!

Currently we are doing finishing work on OUR whole site and would love some major help creating new food systems spaces in OUR garden. We are also full out working on natural building projects (cob, plaster, wood work, etc) and are especially looking for some folks with really great carpentry skills. And - lots of folks who are strong and able to work on a full out 'cob' team!!
