We have a large and attractive property in a quiet residential subdivision near the Victoria International Airport and about one hour (by bus) from downtown Victoria.

The Saanich Peninsula has lots to do including swimming and kayaking at nearby beaches, cycling (the Lochside Trail goes all the way to Victoria), and hiking. John Dean Provincial Park with its beautiful, old growth forest is just up the road from our house.

The waterfront town of Sidney is a ten-minute drive away and Victoria's most famous attraction - Butchart Gardens - is just 20 minutes away.

There's a public recreation centre (Panorama Recreation) with indoor and outdoor tennis courts, indoor swimming pool and large weight room/gym a short walk from our house.

We're a middle-aged, professional couple with no children at home and no pets. Suzanne is a travel writer and also belongs to Servas, an international organization dedicated to building world peace through travel and hosting. We also host Servas... more inside

I am putting together my homestead on leased shared land. There are 6 family units involved in the 32 shared acres, of which I have use of 3 acres. I live off-grid in a 240 sq ft handbuilt caravan. I am practicing sustainability thru permaculture. my farm garden is beyond organic, relying on natures synergy. I am creating hugelkultur beds and lasagna beds as quickly as possible. It is my dream to grow all my own carbohydrates and livestock food in the near-ish future. This would make me fully self sufficient in food and herbs. also in the dream-works are an outdoor summer kitchen, another woodshed for storage, a solar oven, a solar water heater for the caravan, naturally filled pond/s for gravity irrigation, solar/wood heated outdoor shower and bathtub , a bicycle powered station for food grinding- and electricity production, more food forest which includes the polycultural food and medicinal garden, hoop house, composting toilet, coppiceable windbreaks, stone ridges for heat rete... more inside

We are doing some minor repairs as well as gardening on our SW Florida home. Basic carpentry and gardening skills - few hours of work per day with remainder allowing you time to explore this wonderful tropical destination. Additional assistance needed with inventory and moving of rare book collection. Home has swimming pool and fully equipped kitchen you are of course welcome to utilize. Small dog on site. We would prefer an older couple with some related experience, though will consider all applicants. Would ideally like a minimum of two week stay, longer even better. Look forward to hearing from you (and in attempting to change our listing to reflect that we are in USA not Canada!) Peace for ALL Species.

We have had some changes of plans and now have some openings for the months of June and July. Come and stay with us!

We are located in Sandspit, on Haida Gwaii, a remote archipelago in the northern part of BC. We are not located on Vancouver island.

Bayview Garden is a waterfront heritage home with a three-bedroom cottage separate from the main house.
Cheerful and comfortable, this place is at the shore of beautiful Shingle Bay in Sandspit, Haida Gwaii.
Sandspit offers easy access to tours of Gwaii Haanas, kayaking adventures, fishing charters, birdwatching, and beachcombing.
Since a few years, we operate a small Hostel within the B&B.

As I am also working at the local visitor centre, and am involved in other community projects, I will need help with keeping the place clean and tidy. There is also an ornamental garden to take care of, a vegetable garden and a small greenhouse.
It will be possible for you, if you wish, to interact with guests. It is very informal and ... more inside

We are a mixed farm. We grow strawberries, raspberries, greenhouse tomatoes and melons, hay, salad mix and assorted veggies. We also have sheep and horses. You can check out our pictures on Facebook or northendfarm.ca. We go to two markets per week and have a small store on the farm. The property is ocean front which can make for some nice walks or dips in the cold water! We have dogs, cats and would therefore not be suitable for someone with allergies.

We are currently inviting a couple for 3 weeks or more to help next April/May 2019. Five minutes walk from the beach, our 3-acre sunny property is located on a southwest facing slope in a quiet rural setting with views all round of mountains and ocean. Principal activities will include summer garden maintenance: weeding, clearing small trees, and undergrowth, composting, and house maintenance: deck, gutter and window cleaning. We may also be building a new greenhouse and a new footbridge over a creek, so we will welcome helpers with carpentry and construction skills. Healthy, varied and delicious food is a must in our house, non-vegetarian but always with a lot of vegetables, fruit and home-baked bread. Helpers will have their own bedroom and bathroom, attached to our house.
