Plus a Math Tutor for European Grade 7- 8

Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River is a beautiful place to experience Spring and Vancouver Island's great outdoors!!! Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the riverís pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. We call our place "Paradise Mountain", as we have 52 acres of secluded paradise, with 5,000 acres of unoccupied government crown land surrounding us. We are high up on a 950 foot ridge on Vancouver Island, overlooking the Straight of Georgia/Salish Sea and Texada/Lasquetti Islands. We are wanting to build a modest and rustic Yoga Camp and Spiritual Retreat, and hope to open it up to the public for the spring of 2019.

We are looking for Yoga or spiritually-minded individuals. Generally, couples or 2 helpxers travelling together work out best up here as most 'jobs' require 2 people....unless you are strong and can handle working alone sometimes. We need people to help build/clear paths for walking trails and also to help clear/build areas for tenting, outhouses, cabin sites.....for 4-5 hours a day, or more if you wish. It would be nice if there was at least a 3-4 week commitment, so helpxers can leave their "Footprint/Legacy" on our Paradise by doing/building their own long-lasti... more inside

This magical, organic farm with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean Vancouver Island†is incredibly inspirational.†We enjoy our vegetable and herb gardens, goats, chickens, honey bees, livestock guardian dogs and many other wild creatures that visit us daily.†This history here is rich: this was the location of the Saanich Peninsula's first schoolhouse and more recently is where NoŽl Richardson wrote her 4 famous cookbooks and contributed to CityFood Magazine for years while peering out over the spectacular gardens. Her husband, Andrew Yeomen, was also an author and amazing gardener. Together they created a very special place that at the time (1979 until 2014) required from them a significant leap of faith and subsequently plunged them into the world of organic farming. We (Brea, Todd and 2†children) couldn't be more honoured to be the guardians of this land.†An adventure like theirs has been something that Brea has dreamed about since childhood, and for her the reality of living this ... more inside

We have a small mixed herd of beef cattle, and raise purebred Border Cheviot sheep
Our meat is mostly sold locally through the Comox Valley Farmers market. We grow a big vegetable patch for our own consumption and put up enough second cut hay for our own livestock and have some extra to sell. Im looking for help tidying up the farmyard, setting up and getting ready for lambing and just an extra hand or two getting projects finished.
Our farm is located about 8 km from Courtenay on one of the main roads up the Island. We are close to Mt. Washington Alpine Resort and We have lots of space for camping and a few spare rooms that are available in our home depending on where our kids are working or traveling at the time. We have good healthy food.....most of it grown or raised here.
We are looking for short term people for a week or two, and we expect 4 hours of work a day 5 days a week in exchange for food and lodging.
We look forward to meeting new friends from all over the world.

We have a lovely home and 5-acre hobby farm. We have an organic vegetable garden and small green house and the rest of our property is largely pasture for our one (very happy) horse.

At this time we are booked already until the end of June and then again in September, so are looking for help in July and August. We require help with a fencing project as well as other jobs include mowing, gardening, painting, power-washing, etc. We are very much looking for someone with carpentry experience. For the right combination of skills sets, we may be willing to consider 2 people at one time.

We have two guest rooms with an adjoining (separate) shared bathroom that includes a full shower, toilet and double sinks. Our home is very clean and the guest rooms nicely appointed, with views of the pastures and gardens below. Guests are welcome to use a separate upstairs bonus room with a large-screen television and games for enjoyment and Wifi is available to you at no charge.

This is a 25 acre Sustainable Living Demonstration Site and Education Centre on beautiful farm setting. We are a park, farm, school, and residential community with food services and accommodation services available and hosting to almost 10K people per year. The space is created as a 'Commons' and is run mostly by volunteerism.

Personal ability to work in a team and group dynamic is essential. Emotional maturity to be part of a residential live/work situation a must. Incredible opportunity to meet and work with folks of every walk and talk and meet incredible teachers!

Currently we are doing finishing work on OUR whole site and would love some major help creating new food systems spaces in OUR garden. We are also full out working on natural building projects (cob, plaster, wood work, etc) and are especially looking for some folks with really great carpentry skills. And - lots of folks who are strong and able to work on a full out 'cob' team!!
