Come experience a Yukon spring, summer or winter! Venez vivre un hiver ou un été du Yukon! Two working professional parents with two children ages 9 & 11 are looking for some help around the house and some help with child care (although this spring/summer we will be doing some work around the garden and garage--cutting fire wood etc). We are looking for an exchange of food and board for approximately 25-30 hours a week (which includes dog walks on the beautiful trails close to the house)--there is flexibility with the days/hours. We live 15 minutes from downtown Whitehorse in a modern house on a 1 hectare property. We have two dogs: 1 Komondor (big) and 1 Havanese (small). Duties could include such things as cleaning, cooking, picking the children up from school/skiing, helping with homework and music lessons, (violin and piano), shoveling snow or a focus on yard / repair / carpentry work in the summer. We are 10 minutes from a downhill ski hill and 15 minutes to cross country ski ... more inside

Looking for an adventure? Then come to my house!!!

FYI, we live off grid in West Dawson City. I haul my own water and juggle working full time and live 4 km from town and have bikes, canoe and love to camp.

I am easy going, humorous and busy. I have a goal to be the best host ever! Check out helpers Kevin, Audrey and Sandra in my photo gallery! You will become family as you fit in around the cabin and it would help if you like soccer as we are a soccer family! (I mean what other sport is there?) I have lots of stuff that needs to be done such as landscaping, gardening, building, carpentry etc. You will have your own place and enjoy the long summer days and the view of the property.

Check out my pictures and the new outhouse X-Helper Sarah O'Dwyer help me build!! Thanks Sarah!! In fact - Sarah had so much fun she came back for a second stay (fall 2014 and fall 2015!)

We are building our family, our farm and business, as well as expanding our home all at once. We are looking for help as one of us is working off the farm part time now. We have 2 small children, ages 14 months and 3.5 years. We have a farm providing eggs, meat chickens, turkey and pork to the communities. We are almost through our first big season, and there is no end to the amount of construction happening, and we also have things like daily chores (feeding and watering animals), finishing digging a root cellar, digging up root vegetables for the cellar, watching our place on occasion for meat delivery weekends, and helping to watch our children. Other tasks could include helping prepare meals, as well as berry picking, canoeing, hiking, or reading quietly. :)
We are only interested in serious inquiries and responsible, hard-working and self-motivated adults. Our kids mean the world to us and we would need you to be attentive and loving if they're ever in your care.
