Beautiful little oasis tucked away in Tagish. Large organic garden and greenhouse. Horses, meat chickens, hens, pigs and 3 high energy boys.
Help needed with household chores, gardening, attending animals, painting, wood splitting/stacking and clearing land. Occasionally entertaining the boys or having them entertain you!
We are a Christian family with 4 home schooled children. Three young boys and one teenage daughter. Father is a self-employed carpenter and Mother a volunteer Emergency Medical Responder with the local Tagish ambulance department.

We own and operate an elegant 4 bedrooms lodge/bed and breakfast 40 km North West of Whitehorse Yukon. "Can I Mush?" is our 20 Alaskan huskies kennel. We provide dog-sledding tours to our guests. We also have two horses and a big Newfoundlander named Tagish!
We are looking for help mainly for the winter season in the Lodge and with the sled-dogs. English is necessary, and a passion for dogs is a must!

Our Lodge is a family operated, environmentally conscious lodge that offers a place of retreat and rejuvenation from the day-to-day distractions of modern life.
We strive to operate as sustainably and consciously as possible. We have a composting toilet system and in April 2011, we are installing a new wind turbine, as well as replacing the battery bank and inverter for our solar power.
Since 2010 we have been proud to host Dechinta Bush University Centre for Research and Learning. This is a northern-led initiative delivering land-based, university credited educational experiences led by northern leaders, experts, elders and professors to engage northern and southern youth in a transformative curricula based on the cutting-edge needs of Canadas North. Dechinta has had three five-week university-accredited semesters for 2011/2012 wit more coming in 2013.

Summer 2013: Currently looking for energetic and motivated persons to help us (mid June until mid July summer) with projects and dog chores including:
~cleaning dog and house yard
~green-house chores
~small carpentry projects
~braking ground for farming
Experience working with sled dogs is an asset!
if you need to stay longer than June 15th-July 15th something may be worked out.
We are a small family, doing small scale farming. Currently we are developing and expanding this very farmable land purchased in 2009, in order to provide fresh produce for ourselves and eventually the local community.
The property is located 10km (by rd) or 6km (by river) from beautiful and historic Dawson City, Yukon. The area I live is called Sunnydale it was the old agricultural area during early settlement of the Dawson region. Some of the best soil in the Yukon lies here, so I want to use it to produce veggies, herbs and spices.

Hi there. At the moment I cannot take any helpers until the snow melts. From May onwards I can accommodate again:)
The accommodations will be in my RV in the backyard. It's myself and my two amazing kids living right next door to an awesome greenbelt with trails that are great for skiing and hiking. We have a lovely garden and the house is a short bus ride from downtown Whitehorse. Mostly I need help around the house and some occasional babysitting with the kids. I have a lot of painting and gardening to do outside this summer and would love to 'renovate' the RV too:)
If you're good with kids, handy around the house and love the outdoors then drop us a line. If you are a carpenter, even better!!! There's only 2-3 hours a day max in terms of stuff to do for me and I would prefer that you provide your own meals. I understand you would be here to go exploring. We're an easy-going bunch. A nice residential area - best really - of Whitehorse. 20 minute walk to downtown and 1 minute or less to great hiking/biking trails. In exchange for 2-3 hours help around the house and yard I can provide accommodation. Food and beverages are your responsibility but we can give you a ride to Superstore for cheap food.

I have a lot of camping equipment as well as canoes if you want to borrow anything for outdoor adventuring.
Please note that I began a collection of pet reptiles in 2012 so if you have any fear of snakes or lizards then this is not the best home! They stay in their enclosures of course so only the real snake-phobic would be affected. :)

Yukon homestead seeks help winter or summer for animal care, field help and all aspects of farm operations. Horses and chickens year round. Steers and pigs seasonally. Accommodations may have electricity and internet but no running water. There is an active riding group all year here and in the summer the ranch hosts a horse camp weekly, so liking kids is a plus.

We operate a therapeutic horseback riding program for people with a disability. Helpers work with the horses, help during lessons and with facility maintenance. This could include fixing fences, painting arena rails, planting seedlings, grooming and exercising horses, cleaning and fixing tack. We run lessons 3 days / week. It's a fun environment if you enjoy people and horses!

We are a family of four with a small garden and greenhouse 25 minutes from Whitehorse.
We are presently looking for a volunteer for the month of May 2013.
We are building a passive timberframe house that is being insulated completely with sheep's wool. We need to a helper to assist with the insulating job this fall. As well, the volunteer will help harvest the rest of the garden and prepare the garden beds for next year.
We are a fun family, the food is good and the setting is beautiful.
We need someone physically strong for the month of May for building garden beds.
