Hi there! Thanks for checking out our listing :-)

My 5 children and I live 25 minutes north of Whitehorse right along the Yukon River. We have 6.5 hectares of beautiful land where we raise chickens, ducks, goats and pigs.

We have space for 1 or 2 people to come and stay with us anytime throughout the year. You can stay 1 week or 1 month or maybe even longer if it works out! Almost everyone who has stayed with us has extended their visit by at least a few weeks ....which we love!

You will be provided with your own comfortable private cabin which has power, limited wifi, a 2 burner propane stove, a mini-fridge, portable water and an outhouse. The cabin is set up for cooking and you will look after most of your own meals. You are welcome to share dinners with us at our house however and will have access to equipment while you're here (canoes, kayaks, bikes, ski's, snowshoes). We can also provide rides into town a few times per week.

In return we ask for your help... more inside

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us.

We are a young family consisting of myself, my sweet preschooler and toddler and a small but competitive dog sled and skijoring team. Our property is located on the Annie Lake Road, in the heart of prime dog mushing territory.

We are currently looking for a dog handler(s) and helper who would be able to start anytime.

Responsibilities include giving excellent care and attention to the sled dogs, as well as odd jobs around the property, and some childcare.

Lovely accommodation is provided, as well as many other bonuses. This position would be ideal for a couple or a pair of friends or a single person, ideally someone who has their own vehicle.

We would prefer a longer term commitment because there is a lot to learn and you would be working on your own much of the time.

Please email us with any questions you have. We look forward to hearing from you!

Come and visit us on our little property near Fox Lake, approx. 60 km north of Whitehorse! We live out here in the woods with our 30 sled dogs, a bunch of chicken and rabbits and run a small wilderness tourism operation and offer Bushcraft & Survival Workshops.

For the summer of 2018 we have a number of hands-on projects lined up and welcome anyone interested in helping us. The most important project is building a wooden guest cabin and construction will start most likely end of May/early June. But throughout summer and fall we will also have many other small projects such as looking after sled dogs, feed the chickens, cutting and splitting fire wood, help in the vegetable garden, paint the chicken coop and green house, build new dog houses,...and much more!

We do not expect any experience, but you will need common-sense, a desire to learn about our northern life-style and how we do things as well as the ability to work well with your hands!

We hope to find helpers to s... more inside

Looking for a Helper for fall 2018! Come experience a Yukon fall, winter or summer! Venez vivre un hiver ou un été du Yukon! LOOKING FOR A HOST starting in June!! Room and board and remunation.

The farm is just starting, so there is lots to do! We need someone to help with various tasks, could be planting, watering, building projects, greenhouse work, weeding, helping harvest & prep, firewood or kitchen tasks. There are also sleddogs to look after :)

I will provide room and board in exchange for your help. A unique experience in a wall tent (insulated floor and woodstove to keep you nice and toasty) You can expect an average of 30 hours of help per week and weekends off. This may change as the things that need to be done vary a lot over the season, so I am hoping for someone flexible and motivated. Also, you can tell me what you prefer to do, and we will go from there!

I would prefer a longer term commitment because there is a lot to learn and you would be working on your own much of the time, but i'm open to any timeframe.

Contact me for more details! Email is The best way to reach me, thanks!!
