Come enjoy the beautiful island of Hawaii with us while you learn to produce and organize a healthy meals delivery service or work with us growing and processing macadamia nuts. Our farm is located in one of the most amazing parts of the Big Island, set in a lush tropical macadamia nut grove. At an altitude of 1250 ft, we have cooler nights and ocean views in the distance.

We are a few miles up the mountain from Two Step (a fantastic swimming and snorkeling right off shore) and The Place of Refuge, important Hawaiian historical sites.

We are currently looking for helpers who are interested in learning about farming, harvesting and the culinary arts. We have also developed a baking/cooking apprenticeship program for helpers interested and able to commit to staying atleast 3 months.

UPDATE: From December 2017 until April 2018, we will be at our NZ location, and will be unable to accept helpers in Hawaii. Our apologies to all who are hoping to visit during this time. If you are able to get in touch in April or later, we will do our best to make it work for a visit.

Our main location is on The Big Island of Hawaii, where we welcome guests as well as WWOOFers from April until December. North Kohala is a beautiful area, with clean air and lovely surrounding countryside. We have a large vegan-organic garden where we grow much of our own food, teach others how to do the same, and offer free cooking classes, consultations and meals to those interested in transitioning to a healthier, more peaceful way of living.

We also own 450 acres of magnificent New Zealand countryside, which we call Shangri-La, where we have been hosting wwoofers for the past 6-7 years. The land is situated in a private valley, with two pristine rivers. Each summer season (from November to ... more inside

This is an opportunity to sail the Hawaiian islands as preparation for a longer trip in the South Pacific and beyond.

If you only have a short time available to volunteer, even just a few days, there is always the opportunity to help with boat projects in exchange for accommodation and sailing lessons(food is not provided). This is very popular. There would be no ocean sailing but even just life at anchor in Hawaii for a short time can be an experience. No specialized skills are necessary to assist with boat projects. An extra set of hands is help enough. Projects are usually short and simple, about an hour or two of work maximum per day.

The trip to the South Pacific is clearly a longer time commitment and time should be spent learning the boat within the Hawaiian islands first before the longer voyage. Sailing within Hawaii is a great way to find out if ocean sailing is something you would like to do. The focus will be on visiting the more remote locations that a... more inside

We are a busy family of 5 who loves the outdoors and keeping it real on the island of Kauai. We live in the central point of the island in a small but fun town called Kapaa.

Welcoming a helper to do misc: House cleaning, cooking, occasionally watch my kids (3 boys ages 3-10), clean out chicken coop, light yard maintenance, painting touch ups, laundry, organizing, recycling, picking kids up from school or taking them to the beach some days and maybe assisting on professional photography shoots. Basically just help me stay above water raising three little boys and owning my own business. LOL!

If you know how to work on VW busses, that would be a bonus! I have two that need some love. If you got one running you could use it during your stay. We would pay for parts and you do the mechanic work.

ALOHA,

We are a small family on a small homestead on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. Ideally we are looking for people who want to experience genuine Hawaii and Aloha and who are willing to chip in some work along the way. We often host people we have met abroad and enjoy traveling ourselves. We have also worked as helpers abroad over the years so we understand both sides. Ideal people for us will be self motivated and ready for a very rural setting. We also prefer people who are not afraid of getting their hands dirty. Being good with children as we have a five year old son is also a big plus. We also love food and people who enjoy cooking. We do eat some meat (mostly home raised) but not on a daily basis. We have chickens, sheep, fruit trees, and lots of daily chores. We are looking for someone who will be willing to do a variety of jobs including weeding, painting, mowing, cleaning, cooking, and yard projects. That said we have also had a helper who traded Thai ma... more inside
