Hi! Looking for a couple 1 month minimum to 4 max. 2-3 preferred. We do not host cigarette smokers.

We enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures. We have hosted over 150 helpers from 18 countries and our experience has been great!

Our needs are helping with pizza at the market, taking orders, making pizza. General farm work, picking, weed-whacking, beautifying, collecting eggs and care of chickens. If you have construction skill there is always a project to take on.

We get together to share a meal once or twice a week. When available we'll provide fresh eggs, various fruit, and coffee when in season. Our location is amazing with lots to see and do close by. We have snorkel and beach gear as well as a kayak for your use. The farm is close to 2 step which is a wonderful bay for snorkeling and swimming with spinner dolphins. 1 mile from local cafes. Bus stop directly in front of farm.

Thanks!

ALOHA,

We are a small family on a small homestead on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. Ideally we are looking for people who want to experience genuine Hawaii and Aloha and who are willing to chip in some work along the way. We often host people we have met abroad and enjoy traveling ourselves. We have also worked as helpers abroad over the years so we understand both sides. Ideal people for us will be self motivated and ready for a very rural setting. We also prefer people who are not afraid of getting their hands dirty. Being good with children as we have a four year old son is also a big plus. We also love food and people who enjoy cooking. We do eat some meat (mostly home raised) but not on a daily basis. We have chickens, sheep, fruit trees, and lots of daily chores. We are looking for someone who will be willing to do a variety of jobs including weeding, painting, mowing, cleaning, cooking, and yard projects. That said we have also had a helper who traded Thai ma... more inside

We just unexpectedly lost our Farm Help and we need help starting now, until August 21.

"The Terraces" is a educational and demonstration sustainable farm. Located on the south side of Hawaii's Big Island. On our two acres we are growing well over 100 different vaarieties of fruits, vegetables and herbs.
"The Terraces" is the life long dream of founder, Stacey Richards. It was created to provide an environment for people to learn about farming, their health and nutrition, as well as provide a venue for community activities.

In Hawaii we have a word: "Ohana". Now, the literal meaning of Ohana is family. but the way it is often used is to describe a guest house or spare bedroom, because that is where your Ohana would stay. So at The Terraces we try to provide both.

A place to rest your head and a place where you feel at home. The Terraces is a place where you are treated as Ohana. We are glad to have you on the island.

Come enjoy the fascinating island of Hawaii with us while you learn to produce and organize a healthy meals delivery service. Our farm is located in one of the most amazing parts of the Big Island, set in a lush tropical macadamia nut grove. At an altitude of 1250 ft, we have cooler nights and ocean views in the distance.

We are a few miles up the mountain from Two Step (a fantastic swimming and snorkeling right off shore) and The Place of Refuge, important Hawaiian historical sites.

We are currently looking for helpers who are interested in learning about farming, harvesting and the culinary arts. We have also developed a baking/cooking apprenticeship program for helpers interested and able to commit to staying atleast 3 months.

Some of the daily activities include: picking fruit and macnuts, weed eating, planting coffee, cooking and baking.

We bake pies, tarts, breads, rolls and make chutneys and jams from the products on our farm. As well are produce healthy m... more inside

My wife and I live on the premises and operate a B&B as well as tending to a small 100% organic fruit farm. We are primarily looking for farm help to do things such as: pruning/trimming/weeding/mowing/weed-whacking/etc. There is also light cleaning outside our home (raking leaves, rinsing snorkel equipment, sweeping, etc.).

We are rural and located at the end of a one-mile road from the main highway. At the highway there is a store, restaurant, and fruit stand all within close walking distance. A large grocery store is 5 miles away. There are a lot of HelpX/WOOFERS on the island and hitch-hiking is popular and safe. Within a few miles are beaches and popular snorkeling areas. The Big Island is really a paradise for outdoor activities.

Unlike many host properties, we offer a separate and private studio apartment complete with a kitchen, bath, king-sized bed, HDTV satellite, and high-speed WI-FI (300+ megabyte). Mobile phone reception is good.

My wife and I are almost always ... more inside

We are building a lava lodge on a 30 year old lava flow. We're looking for people to live and work here in exchange for room and board. Vegetarian and vegan accommodations can be provided, but know that there are omnivores that live on site. We have the following on site: hot/cold water, showers, ice (yes, ice!), filtered water, fridge, stove, oven, washing machine, solar installation (so plenty of power), GREAT wifi and plenty of craziness to provide stories. We are looking for someone with a hard work ethic and expect about eight hours of good work 4-5 days a week in exchange for a standalone cabin and all shared meals.

****OPEN DATES ARE : January 28th 2018 and onward****

We are a busy family of 5 who loves the outdoors and keeping it real on the island of Kauai.

Welcoming a helper to do misc. House cleaning, cooking, occasionally watch my kids (3 boys ages 3-10), clean out chicken coop, light yard maintenance, painting touch ups, laundry, organizing, recycling, picking kids up from school or taking them to the beach some days and maybe assisting on professional photography shoots. Basically just help me stay above water raising three little boys and owning my own business. LOL!

If you know how to work on VW busses, that would be a bonus! I have two that need some love. If you got one running you could use it during your stay. We would pay for parts and you do the mechanic work.

Food included for home cooked meals; with shared cooking responsibilities. The pantry is always open to whatever you'd like and when shopping at the store, throw in the cart what you like to eat. Sleeping... more inside

Aloha,

Our mission: To establish, maintain and grow a tropical park-like sustainable garden.

Camp Aloha is a 5 acre macadamia nut farm in the Honaunau District just South of Captain Cook, Hawaii. We also provide an experiential learning program for volunteers.

Grounds that are maintained without the use of harsh chemicals require a lot of hands-on. That's where you come in. Don't for a moment think this a no brainer process. Depending on your developing skill sets you will be given learning challenges that require about 16 hours of study per week. Some people want to learn big heavy lifting whilst making grunting sounds while others just want to master nut picking or garden bed beautification. Intellectuals are welcome but expect physical exertion much of the time. Pick nuts or pull weeds for four hours and tell me it isn't meditative. If it isnít then youíre not doing it right.

We are not a jobs program or a place to work displacing American labor. If you... more inside
