I am a seasoned traveller and a trained cook. My project is to turn a short school bus into an off-grid travelling kitchen, to go from California to South America, stopping and helping at farms along the way and collecting any excess food they may have to make meals for anyone else I meet along the way, because everyone deserves a decent meal.

I am about halfway finished with the conversion. The first phase of acquiring the bus and converting it to run of off veggie oil is pretty much complete (I just drove a test run about 600km for $0.54). The second phase, that I am currently in, is building an off-grid travelling kitchen , therefor allowing the most independence from using shitty resources like gas and propane. A main concept of this idea is to prove and live the cheapest charitable travel model possible; using recycled vegetable oil for fueling the car and wood and sun for energy sources.

We are currently accepting inquiries for the 2017 growing season! We will start hosting long-term helpers in March and short-term helpers in May.

We are a small group of people living cooperatively in the wooded hills above White Salmon, WA (about 7.5 miles up Snowden Road). We are beginning our fourth growing season and third year of our CSA program. We live on 14 acres and raise several heirloom and heritage varieties of vegetables and animals. We have a large vegetable garden and a collection of animals: sheep, chickens and ducks. Our animals are pasture-raised and grass-fed, and we do not use any pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. We became USDA certified organic in 2016! We practice direct marketing and sell our products at two farmers markets, through a CSA, and at local stores/restaurants.

We are looking for long-term helpers this season (3-6 months or more), although we will host short-term helpers outdoors during the warmer part of the season.

Looking for person or persons to work 4 hours a day,(each person), 5 days a week in the morning. The rest of the time is your own, and you may do as you like. You must be a person who is able to keep yourself busy, and not need continuous instruction.

We are a Spiritual retreat center located close to the beautiful town of Julian in Southern California. We are located about an hour drive away from San Diego, and we are a few miles away from Julian.

We are in the midst of gorgeous rural native trees and nature away from urban life here. We are not affiliated with any particular spiritual ideology or philosophy with a central authority, but we are rather a community of truth seekers learning and growing in the mirror of relationship and intelligent questioning of everything; and love, we believe, is the only light in this spiritual journey.

We have only very Yummy, healthy and organic Vegan/Vegetarian food here shared with all community members, and our community is Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco free. We would love to welcome new members who would like to have some peaceful time and help us in the ways that fit them best. There are no corporate type of strict living/working here, but rather a friendly and family like environme... more inside
