At our farm here in the Coachella Valley we grow 5 varieties of dates; Medjool, Barhi, Khadrawi, Halawi & Zahidi....and we also have young plantings of mango, sapodilla, temple orange and sweet lime.

Tasks include: irrigation, pruning, picking, fertilizing, pollination, clean-up, trenching, house cleaning, road repair. Tile setters & concrete workers are appreciated here, and so are nomadic carpenters or anyone with experience using ropes and equipment for rock climbing since I need to adapt this skill on my tall palm trees. We clean our We clean our soaking pools regularly.

This is a 6.75 acre farm of all sorts of exotic tropical fruit trees and ordinary fruit trees and many vegetables and exotic flowers and macadamia nuts and bamboos and special grasses. We grow white sapotes, cherimoyas, avocados, tropical guavas, citrus, apples, peaches, nectarines, loquats, pomegranates, persimmon, surinam cherries, dragon fruit and mulberries, etc. We are raising chickens and worms. We are always building new things for the farm and making new gardens and doing maintenance on the farm. The building of things often involves welding.

It is warm and sunny all year around, with what little rain we get coming usually between November and March. The farm is always frost free. It is pretty hot in the middle of the day in the summer (can have days in 80's and 90's at anytime of the year), so working then is better in the mornings or late afternoons. The farm is on the side of a hill and is steep in places so one must be a bit careful and wear work shoes and we d... more inside

*** We are currently full until August. We have limited rooms but plenty of camping space. Contact us, via e-mail only, as early as possible if you need a room or else we are happy to accommodate camping. ****

This farm established in 1972, is an intentional community of people who have chosen to live and work together to share a more harmonious way of living. At our home in rural western Oregon, we live the largely self-reliant style of a close-knit expanded family; we average 15 - 20 people, including singles, couples and families.
We are located about 25 miles from the Pacific Ocean and about 55 miles by road northwest of Eugene, the nearest city. Dense, predominantly conifer forests cover these steep hills of the Coast Range of Oregon, fed by abundant rainfall in the winter and dry, moderate summers. The 280-acre farm is nestled in a green finger valley among these hills. Living spaces available to HelpXers include rooms in a large old farmhouse, the five-bedroom “new house”... more inside

We've rescued our 1889 house from the derelict building list and now live in a quite comfortable but not quite finished home. There is lots to be done still and depending on the length of time you are here and your skill set, we'll try to find something that you can enjoy or feel a sense of contribution doing.

We would enjoy help with painting the exterior of our house this summer. We've removed all lead paint and primed walls and exterior siding. Painting experience is a plus, but we also would consider someone with a steady hand, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn. We would also like to do some landscaping and always have a big garden. Given the size of the house, there is always something that needs done, be it cleaning up after a meal, emptying the dish drain and dish washer, mopping the kitchen floor or vacuuming…you get the idea.

Our household includes our family of three and a housemate who is a finished carpenter. We have a dog, cat, 6 chickens and... more inside

We are a couple in our early 30s and have a house 12 miles south of Seattle. We have been helpx helpers many times over the years and are happy to now be able to host.

We won't have any openings until late July at least.

In exchange for 4-5 hours of work 5 days/week we can offer you a private bedroom with double bed, shared bathroom and 3 meals/day. We prepare plant-based meals but you are welcome to cook anything you'd like if you prefer.

We have some landscaping, drainage and exterior painting projects planned for the summer and fall.

Getting around the area:
We have plenty of parking space if you have a car and also have bikes you can use. To get to Seattle without a car there is a bus and light rail service. If we are available we can drive you to the light rail station or bus station (5 min drive) where it is $2.50 (each way) for 35-40min trip to downtown Seattle. If we are unavailable there is a bus stop (3 min walk) where you can get to Seattle in 60 minutes... more inside

We are a semi-retired couple with a 6-acre vineyard in Napa, California. We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting Helpx'ers who have not only helped with a variety of task but enriched our lives. We need folks to help both in the vineyard and our small fruit tree and olive orchard from January - September We have space available to host in June, the latter half of July and August at the moment. Other tasks might include tending the vegetable garden (mostly in raised beds), helping in the winery. General cleaning of living spaces or tending the compost pile may also be part of your tasks. We can provide rides to/from Napa for those without their own transportation on their free days We initially request a stay of 2 weeks, but longer stays are possible upon mutual agreement. The month of May provides a variety of chores in the vineyard, managing the canopy into the trellis system, selecting shoots and removing the "extras". The work isn't hard but involves a lot of walking along the ... more inside

Welcome to Olympia the capital of Washington state, which is about 1 hour from Seattle and 1.45 to Portland Oregon.

My home is a remodeled former old dairy farm house. I am located in the city yet placed at the entrance to a wonderful nature park with trails, old growth trees and wetlands. You will feel like you are in the country when actually you are a half block on the city bus line and an easy 20 minute walk to downtown or the Bay.
There is a cool little bakery a short walk through the park trail that I enjoy. You can sit outside at their garden tables, weather permitting.

I need about 3 hrs of help a day in exchange for room and 2 meals. If you are here a week then there is one free no work day. I will do my best to support you in your needs as well. Must be self motivated and happy to work alone.

First of all I am open to your ideas that may help me improve the place.
Some of the things I would appreciate help with are.
~ garden clean up and prep, wee... more inside
