Come explore 5 acres with beach access on Lopez Island next to Shark Reef Sanctuary (a park where Sea Lions frolic with many small beach coves and amazing views). I am coming from Hawaii and getting to work on this mostly raw land. I envision putting in gardens (organic / permaculture) and improving places for myself and guests/helpers etc. to stay (as of this writing just an outdoor kitchen under-construction, outhouse, camper and camping spots - update now have an Airstream for guests/helpers and tools to stay in), while leaving most of the land in it's natural state. Treehouse builders, tree fellers, cobb / earth / pole / stick builders and airstream fixer-uppers wanted. Someone is bringing by a zipline - so if you know how to install it - come on by. This is a beautiful area, however we will be roughing it (outhouse/off-grid for now), staying in an airstream, a 'tour bus' or a tent until more stylie digs are created...think witnessing the birth of this place - here's your ... more inside

Looking for person or persons to work 4 hours a day,(each person), 5 days a week in the morning. The rest of the time is your own, and you may do as you like.
We have 5 acres, but only 1&1/4 are actually used. Duties would include general yard and garden work. Also cleaning pens and coop, feeding animals, collecting eggs, picking fruit, vegetables, and nuts in the growing seasons. Other times would be general yard, garden or pen cleanup, or help out as needed. House work would be general chores, like sweeping, dusting, dishes. There is always something to do here, no matter what skills you may have.

If you have carpentry, electrical, or plumbing skills it would be a plus. Building, sheet rocking, wall papering, tiling, or finish carpentry would be a huge plus. Our house was never completely finished, because my husband has had 9 major surgeries and can no longer do the work himself.

We have a large vegetable garden 9 months of the year. We also have a green house.

Hi, I'm Terri. Thanks for stopping on our page.
If you're social, like being outside, don't mind working up a sweat and enjoy problem solving, this might be the place for you.

We're a small family farm on four beautiful acres about three miles outside the town of Sonoma and an hour north of San Francisco. We don't sell our crops but we do grow almost all our own vegetables and have two very curious alpacas. We started using HelpX last year and found we really enjoy sharing our farm with travelers from all over the world. We’re looking for people who are passionate about living and working outdoors, nurturing their bodies and souls through the land and connecting with others.

Please be willing to get down & dirty with us fixing irrigation, harvesting veggies, pulling weeds, painting, planting crops, spreading mulch, mending fences, bathing the alpacas, building and repairing fences, pruning grapes, making wine, mowing the lawn, building rock walls and yes, shoveling shit (... more inside

Now looking for help with carpenter skills.
Welcome to Olympia the capital of Washington state, which is about 1 hour from Seattle and 1.45 to Portland Oregon.

My home is a remodeled former old dairy farm house. I am located in the city yet placed at the entrance to a wonderful nature park with trails, old growth trees and wetlands. You will feel like you are in the country when actually you are a half block on the city bus line and an easy 25 minute walk to downtown or the Bay.
There is a cool little bakery a short walk through the park trail that I recomend. You can sit outside at their garden tables, weather permitting.

I need about 3 hrs of help a day in exchange for room and 2 meals. If you are here a week then there is one free no work day. I will do my best to support you in your needs as well. Must be self motivated and happy to work alone.
