I live on top of a mountain with a nice view. I have two trailers, paved roads, electricity, satellite tv, a pool and dogs and cats.
I used to travel a lot and love meeting people from the international community. The guest trailer has a king size bed and will accommodate one person nicely. I like to cook, bbq, sit by the fire pit and enjoy the country lifestyle. I am 7 miles from the 15 freeway and about one hour north of San Diego. It would be best if you have your own transportation unless you are happy staying on the farm.

Right now I am picking, pruning, weeding and fertilizing. I have a couple of trees to plant in the near future. The rain did a lot of damage to my new planting and the tree basins need repair.

I started the replanting process just about one year ago and am glad to be finished.

I now have 5,100 avocado trees (three different varieties). I am very excited about my farm and the years to come.

I have a full time job doing inspections on other pe... more inside

"Resident volunteers" from HelpX and Wwoof have been a Godsend to our non-profit working ranch serving children and animals on our 55 acre ranch. When we lost our site development funding the day after 9-11, we thought the ranch would go under. But the children who had been coming to the ranch during after school programs and summer camps refused to let that happen. They gave up their fun time on the ranch riding horses and driving go-carts to work every minute they could to keep the ranch going. They hand dug fence posts, built shelters for the animals and did whatever was needed.

In as much as they loved the ranch, they missed their fun times on the ranch until we got our first "resident volunteer" from Wwoof and more followed who also came from HelpX.

Once we signed up with HelpX and Wwoof, the ranch has continually progressed forward thanks to some wonderful help from around the world.

The kids are so very grateful for all who have come and who have left them with wo... more inside

We live in Downtown Yakima, in the center of Washington State in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood but we do not speak Spanish (except to order dinner). We have a home (built in 1906) and 2 rental homes (built in 1925 & 1972) that need carpentry, painting, and landscaping. We have 4 children ages 18, 15, 7, & 6 at home being homeschooled and could be helped by one-on-one assistance with reading, writing, math, Spanish, and computer skills as well as assistance with learning household skills, such as cooking and housekeeping aka chores. Both of my teen boys love gaming. My girls are just learning how to make simple jewelry like bracelets and necklaces. My husband is an electrical design engineer. I am a stay at home mom who was injured in 2011 and am limited on my abilities to take care of everything I need to do. I love gardening but my injuries have changed my ability to garden as I have in the past, I need help reorganizing my gardens and making them easier for me to access w... more inside
