NEXT AVAILABILITY AUGUST 15, 2015

Lincoln Hills Farm is a family owned and operated small-scale farm located in Northern California. We are in our second year of production, offering organic vegetables, fruit, herbs and eggs, incorporating organic, biodynamic, permaculture and sustainable practices in our operations. This season we started distribution through our on-site farm stand and are in the process of establishing relationships for distribution to local restaurants. This fall we will be developing the infrastructure to grow organic starts for distribution through local nurseries. We have a small flock of chickens for egg production and are breeding American Black Belly sheep for pasture grazing and meat. Our other animals include a couple of horses, a very friendly mammoth jack donkey who fathered our twin mules a few months ago, two dogs and four cats. We love all of our animals and the energy they bring to the farm!

We are looking for a work/trade, minimum one month s... more inside

We live on four acres about 3 1/2 miles outside the town of Sonoma and an hour north of San Francisco. We grow our own vegetables and have two alpacas, a family of geese, a 120 lb tortoise and an Aussie dog named Joey. We traveled a lot before we moved to Sonoma and miss it. We're hoping to bring a little cultural diversity to our home and community here in the heart of the California Wine Country through Helpx.

Please be willing to get down & dirty working outside with us until lunch (after a quick dip in the pool to clean up) and then back to work until dinner time. We start our days early to avoid working in the heat and if friends drop by everyone pitches in to prepare a meal. We're looking for Helpxers who will enjoy the experience of being an integral part of our family and helping our little farm come to life every day.

The types of jobs to be done could be painting, building... more inside
