We have space availabe in August (and beyond for the right folks!) Select just meaning be a human who digs this vision; we accept all awesomeness. Also, one awesome thing about this farm is that it's not a program; it is humans working together for a vision that will lead to energistic gathering space/essential oil as a primary focus/music space, artistic space, farming space, enjoyment space... et al. It's many of those already. And we're working to take it further; all of us... together.

Simple facts: See our facebook link above to see pics and actual happenings of what we do day to day. That being said, we are a first year farm; reclaiming/planting/designing land. Figuring out the business aspect. The person driving this vision is a worktrader as well; and continues to do so in winter (for the next few years, until things are built enough).

We try to have 4-9 worktraders/community members. We have veggie/aromatic gardens. We have forests. We have 2 creeks. A pond. Floatie... more inside

"Resident volunteers" from HelpX and Wwoof have been a Godsend to our non-profit working ranch serving children and animals on our 15 acre ranch. When we lost our site development funding the day after 9-11, we thought the ranch would go under. But the children who had been coming to the ranch during after school programs and summer camps refused to let that happen. They gave up their fun time on the ranch riding horses and driving go-carts to work every minute they could to keep the ranch going. They hand dug fence posts, built shelters for the animals and did whatever was needed.

In as much as they loved the ranch, they missed their fun times on the ranch until we got our first "resident volunteer" from Wwoof and more followed who also came from HelpX.

Once we signed up with HelpX and Wwoof, the ranch has continually progressed forward thanks to some wonderful help from around the world.

The kids are so very grateful for all who have come and who have left them with wo... more inside

Sunny summertime is paradise on Orcas Island, Washington State, in the San Juan Island Archipelago. I need helpers as the tourist season has given work to all the locals. The house is finished, now we are painting and cleaning up construction. Please come and enjoy this place. Would love to have Helpxers.. The plumbing is complete now and the basement is available to sleep on mattresses. No camping is necessary.
My cabin was joined by a big house floated by barge from Seattle. Then the foundation and first floor were built under it. We need helpers for one to six weeks to help us finish sheetrock and trim inside the house, scrape, prime, and paint the old cedar shingle siding, set up organic gardens. Work is five hours from 8:30-1:30pm. Afternoons are free. Town is a 15 minute walk. Biking, kayaking, swimming, hiking, or camping in Moran State Park are all good possibilities. We are one block from the public beach, and have beautiful sunset views. We are 1 mile from Eastsound.... more inside

Mountainside farm close to Yosemite National Park with 100 mile views. It's complete solitude here that hundreds of millions of people have seen.
I have Queensland Heeler dogs, raise chickens for eggs, grow fruit trees, veggies, herbs, spices and medicinal plants. I take volunteers year round.
I have lived in the Yosemite area since 1985, I married into the Yosemite Indian Tribe and have Yosemite Indian children. Yosemite is a big part of my life and my farm. We have a living culture that is year round and I regularly take my volunteers to the ceremonies.

PLEASE! Click on all 3 website links and read my Couchsurfing profile and binding references.

To see my list of YouTube video references from some of my farm and volunteers click on my 1st YouTube link.
The 2nd YouTube link is my whole channel.
My farm is mostly a show case for my YouTube videos and growing the food for the people to eat on my farm. I grow food to eat and video, not sell, what I export is my videos ab... more inside

In 2014 we will be having several work weeks focusing on light construction, root cellar digging, forest thinning work, earthen plaster, gardening work, etc.
(update July 2014: root cellar digging is done, we need help raising geodesic dome, forest thinning + gardening work)

Helper accommodations are separate from main house...in private rooms (under construction, but usable)

Our main person is a retired university professor who'll teach + demo lo-cost renewable energy systems, living energies (Schauberger, Tesla, ++), community microgrids and biodynamic gardening to helpers.

This is a nature sanctuary (very quiet) at 4200ft elevation (cool in summer).

We have a small (1/2 acre)biodynamic garden, 900sf greenhouse and are building a learning center that will help people learn about living energies and community microgrids. Our operation is 100% closed loop and self-reliant: zero operating cost, 100% rainwater, energyplus (beyond net zero),+++

LOOKING FOR HELP FOR THE WINTER, OCTOBER, THRU MARCH. FORESTRY WORK, LANDSCAPING PROJECT.

LOCATION

We are located in Southern Oregon near the California border, located 5 miles from the town of *Williams at the base of *Grayback Mountain We are at the end of the road off the grid, we generate our own power, with a state of the art solar system. Land is in a riparian area at the base of the Siskyou Mountains where two major creeks come together (William and Bill creek) water flows all year . Only a short distance to the Pacific Crest Trail, and about 2 hours to the Oregon coast and redwoods. This private property that we are stewards of, is is probably one of the most beautiful pieces of land on the planet. The builder was an incredible artist and the land has been nicknamed hobbit land, truly amazing woodwork in the many cabins everywhere, not to mention that this piece of land borders one of the most beautiful water ways in the area and we are the first on it with... more inside
