We're a small family farm on four beautiful acres just outside the town of Sonoma and an hour north of San Francisco. Although family, friends and neighbors stop by frequently, its my husband Ted and I who live at La Bella Luce and work the property as a labor of love. From May - October, we have no specific agenda other than to enjoy the land with the people we host. Were looking for helpers who appreciate simple things: the sun, the soil, jumping in the pool to clean up after work and cooking in an outdoor kitchen surrounded by vegetables. If you get bored easily or need to be entertained, this might not be the place for you.

Please be willing to get down & dirty helping us with any of the following: fixing irrigation, harvesting veggies, pulling weeds, painting, planting grapes, spreading mulch, transplanting trees, socializing with Fidel and Mijo (our alpacas), building and repairing fences, pruning grapes, drying tomatoes, preserving fruits & vegetables, making wine, ... more inside

I live on this beautiful island in the San Juan archipelago and live a wonderful stress free life. I am currently working on treehouse construction and a camper van project there are many other woodworking, gardening & forestry projects also. If there is something that isn't fun to work on and exciting to learn about then I am certain we can find a project that is. I would be very happy to teach the skills I have amassed in the building trade. There is a wood fired sauna, pizza oven & jacuzzi on the property available as well as full bathroom & laundry facilities. I would be more than happy to exchange food (you would want to eat) & a (private) comfortable bed for at least 3hrs a day of work. I am very easy going and trustworthy so I would prefer you are as well.
I'm also on couchsurfing and have over 100 positive references:)

Looking for someone to start July 1 or sooner!!

I live on a 1.5 acre property with 3 horses in the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains. I am in walking distance of miles of beautiful hiking trails, driving distance to the beaches and many beautiful attractions in Southern California. My home is like a vacation retreat. However, I am a very busy person and I need a responsible, energetic, hard working person to help me out caring for everything. It is hard work and dirty. You must be able to help feeding the horses, cleaning the horse stalls, taking care of the gardens, cleaning the pool, and other chores around the house. The tasks are 20-25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, but spread throughout the day due to feeding schedules! Volunteer must be able to lift 50 lbs, drive a 4-wheeler, and climb a 2-story ladder. I also have two big dogs who love their mountain retreat! I am hoping to find someone who can stay at least 3 months. If you like to work hard and play hard this is the ... more inside

Hello World Travelers!
We are a busy family who lives in the East Bay about 1.5 hours from San Francisco by city transportation.
For 1-2 weeks we meet with Bay Area visitors to exchange culture and stories.
This is not a "job" or "work."
While here you are a part of our family, our daily lives, and household. You are expected to pitch in with meals, clean up and daily activities...just like you do at home!
The current household schedule will be discussed during our video chat.
We are vegetarian and our home is basic and comfortable. Our home is non-smoking.
You are responsible for your travels. Please only contact me once you understand your USA visa. I am not able to answer visa questions or be a reference. You must have an itinerary for the Bay Area that includes local interests and accommodations for your budget.
We only meet after you are staying in the Bay Area.
If it works for you to add a cultural-exchange with us while on your trip then great!
Wishing you ... more inside

Come to Central California and Help Fight World Hunger.
We are a non-profit organization that processes and ships food to approximately 100
impoverished nations. We need more volunteers.
We are open most of the year, have a variety of jobs and are flexible regarding the length of your stay. We have plenty of great food, comfortable accommodations, phones, a public computer, free Wi-Fi and a swimming pool. For your labor, you get free room and board during your stay.
We are located near Sequoia National Park, home of the largest trees on earth. Also, Yosemite National Park is not far. We provide free transportation to and from the local greyhound/Amtrak stations. Please email me only if you have specific dates in mind, and that you are pretty certain you will come. I can then check for availability. I try to respond to every email, but if, for some reason I don't reply within 6 days, it means all the beds are taken, and we cannot accommodate you. .

We are a 27 acre organic farm and forest in the foothills of the coast range of southern Oregon. We are mostly pastureland with llamas, and goats. There is an established orchard of Apples, Pears, Plums, Peaches, Cherries, Filberts, kiwis, and Figs..and a large/market vegetable garden that is currently producing enough food for year-round farm use with excess for Farmers Markets and other local stores. The main house, with a large prep-room and kitchen, is open to careful use, and has carefully tended cottage permacultured gardens surrounding it that bloom with many heritage plants and flowers. Two rooms in the main house are dedicated for Airbnb guests, and WWOOFers will have some responsibility in assisting us with some of the chores pertaining to having frequent visitors at the farm (i.e. helping prepare group meals). There is a large separate yoga/work-out studio, and satellite internet. Bordered by forest in various stages from 100 years old, the land is completely private and... more inside

Hi I'm Lindsey and I'm building free off-grid artist studios in the Mojave desert about 30 mins east of Joshua Tree, CA. The land is 5 acres and just getting set up so I need all kinds of help and all skill sets are welcome. Currently I am covering the exterior of an earthbag dome in old clothes and paint, preparing to build another dome, installing a floor, and fencing the property. Other projects for this year include creating a ferrocement water cistern, homestead cabin rehab & water catchment system, and creating a number of earthworks on the property. Please read my volunteer reviews (they are honest and accurate), check out the instagram (@wondervalleydomes) & the project video.

Volunteers should limit their stay to 1-3 nights and be prepared to work ~2-4 a day either in the early morning or evening. I provide some food and plenty of recommendations on cool places to explore.

Accommodations are tent or car camping only. YOU MUST HAVE A CAR- NO EXCEPTIONS. Water must be... more inside
