RIGHT NOW I'M LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO START HELPING ME IN SEPTEMBER. I'M ALSO PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE SO IF IT'S AFTER SEPTEMBER PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME.

Hi my name is Bruce.
I'm wondering if you would be interested in helping someone like myself. By the previous sentence I mean someone who is charming, wonderful, engaging, intelligent and shy. I broke my neck when I was 18 years old and have been in a wheelchair ever since. After breaking my neck I went back to school and received a couple of degrees. Most of my life I have been working until recently and that is because I came down with a condition called hypotension which is something that is difficult to manage but is livable. I'm looking for someone who is energetic, intelligent and ready to take on a challenge. It's important to me that whomever I choose has good sense humor and can understand sarcasm. I'm also a liberal and I am concerned about politics along with many other things. If you'd like to know more about... more inside

We are a semi-retired couple with a 6-acre vineyard in Napa, California. We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting Helpx'ers who have not only helped with a variety of task but enriched our lives. We need folks to help both in the vineyard and our small fruit tree and olive orchard from January - September We have space available to host from May 16 through September at the moment. Other tasks might include tending the vegetable garden (mostly in raised beds), helping in the winery. General cleaning of living spaces or tending the compost pile may also be part of your tasks. We can provide rides to/from Napa for those without their own transportation on their free days We initially request a stay of 2 weeks, but longer stays are possible upon mutual agreement. The month of May provides a variety of chores in the vineyard, managing the canopy into the trellis system, selecting shoots and removing the "extras". The work isn't hard but involves a lot of walking along the rows of vines ... more inside

Spring is here and were looking for enthusiastic, helpful hands to be a part of our community ranch now! We're laying out and planting the summer gardens and already harvesting watercress, lettuce, green onions and radishes. Its a fun and bustling time of year, lots to do and lots to learn. In addition to short term visitors, we welcome individuals seeking a long term living arrangement. A Madrone Ranch is surrounded by Klamath National Forest, located in Siskiyou County, California on 20 acres of land with the closest neighboring houses about a mile away. Garden and orchard lands are approximately 2 acres. We live in a unique environment as a community of friends dedicated to having fun and its a great place to WWOOF/Helpx! Weve been residing in this location since 2001. Weve welcomed over 60 visitors through the WWOOF/HelpX program since March of 2014.

We are a busy family who live in the East Bay about an hour from San Francisco. We are vegetarian and our home is basic and comfortable. We enjoy people from all over the world and would like to share our home and area with others in exchange for help inside and outside, and hanging out with our two boys and friendly dog.

Specific Dates:
We are almost booked for July, but still have space for HelpXers in June and August

House & Projects:
When we bought our house 2 years ago, it needed a LOT of work: painting, carpentry, landscaping, etc. At present, five house-mates share the house. We are a little "family of friends" ranging in age from 22 to 60...it's a fun group.

We also have 11chickens, 2 border collies and an English bulldog.

In the last 2 years, we have had great experiences with many HelpXers from many places working on many projects! Each experience has been unique and wonderful!

Most of the HelpXers have slept on our 2 comfy couches, but we now have a detached room available which sleeps 2 people, too. It would be good for a couple or friends traveling together.

There is always something to do here and I always appreciate having someone to help. When the weather isn't good to be outdoors, my interior projects are painting, installing trim work, refinishing wood flooring, i... more inside

Come explore 5 acres with beach access on Lopez Island next to Shark Reef Sanctuary (a park where Sea Lions frolic with many small beach coves and amazing views). I am coming from Hawaii and getting to work on this mostly raw land. I envision putting in gardens (organic / permaculture) and improving places for myself and guests/helpers etc. to stay (as of this writing just an outdoor kitchen under-construction, outhouse, camper and camping spots - update now have an Airstream for guests/helpers and tools to stay in), while leaving most of the land in it's natural state. Treehouse builders, tree fellers, cobb / earth / pole / stick builders and airstream fixer-uppers wanted. Someone is bringing by a zipline - so if you know how to install it - come on by. This is a beautiful area, however we will be roughing it, staying in an airstream, a 'tour bus' or a tent until more stylie digs are created...think witnessing the birth of this place - here's your chance to help it grow!
