We live on a 7 acre hobby farm. We garden and raise animals for pleasure, fun, and learning. We grow hay for our horse and donkeys and the steer to eat.

We are looking for someone to help tend the younger children, do light house keeping, or gardening or cooking. It would be great for us to have a Spanish speaking visitor to help the kids with the language. Depending on the timing we need help moving irrigation pipes and brining in hay.

In exchange for some help around the home we can provide two private rooms and one private bathroom. We have a four wheeler and bicycles to ride for fun. We live outside of a small town with the population of 8,000 people. We have a hot spring swimming place close by.

Come visit Northern Utah!

We are looking for 1 person to join us as an intern/apprentice starting August 1st and stay on for at least 4 months or longer. We require previous farm experience of at least 2 months.

We are small farm growing ½ acre of vegetables and a ¼ acre of orchards, and milking three goats a day from a herd of seven, from which we make cheeses. Our scale is deliberately small so we can have an intimate relationship with each other, plants and animals. This requires more time, attention to detail, and hard physical labor.

We are political activists; in our former lives we were left-wing community organizers. We are semi-Luddites. Our spirituality considers this place sacred and we seek to honor Shii Koeii by treating her respectfully. If you come here, you will experience a very different world than both mainstream U.S. and most small farms, and we expect that you will recognize our culture as different, and for the duration of your visit, respect it.

We are a Jewish am ha' aretz family on a small organic (non-certified) farmstead in the foothills of the Rocky mountains in north-central Idaho. We are near the Clearwater River and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. but our most special crop, and the reason we live the simple life we do, is our children.

Our goal is to raise our family in a healthy, country, close to the earth kind of way. Animals, gardening, baking, herbal remedies, natural food preservation, bio-dynamic gardening methods.... We love having volunteers, getting to know other cultures, sharing stories, and experimenting with new ideas. Plus, the help has been an amazing blessing.

Skills you could learn here, learning about fermenting breads, sourdough, baking in a cob oven, ethical poultry production and gardening, and different methods of making soils more fertile organically.

Spirit Canoe Lodge is a non profit Shamanic Center that offers community ceremony and monthly purification (sweat)lodges. We are located in the NW corner of North Carolina in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The High Country is a tourist destination near the Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway, canoeing, and incredible hiking opportunities. West Jefferson is a 20 minute drive for grocery shopping and is a unique quaint small town. Boone (50 minute drive)a wonderful college town voted one of the top 10 place to live in the US, has great entertainment and shopping. There is very limited public transportation in this rural area so rides may not always be easy to come by.

Our mission is to provide a space for healing for seekers that desire to be a balanced human and contribute to raising the collective conscious on Grandmother Earth. We teach self responsibility and that life is about choices and that your life is about the choices you make.

Small sheep ranch in northern Montana offers hands-on-learning experiences. We run about 75 head of ewes for wool and lamb crops. There is need for sheep herding help in the summer, lambing help during February through April in particular. Shipping is in August. But internships accepted all year.
Other ranch activities include plantings for wildlife, fencing, farming, gardening and landscaping, building and repairs. Besides sheep, ranch animals include horses and goats.

Update: Sheep and lambs are going out onto pastures now. Help monitoring grazing would be appreciated. Also, June through the summer and fall, I would welcome Helpers who have some skills in carpentry, construction, painting, driving tractors, fencing - or who want to learn. Several projects are lined up that would give a variety of experiences.
Summer and fall are wonderful times to spend in this area as time off to see Glacier Park and rodeos, fairs, other events are easily scheduled.

Hello potential helpers! Looking for a peaceful stay in Colorado's Rocky Mountains in exchange for some help on our property?

We would be thrilled to find someone with stone and/or brick masonry skills, experience with concrete, irrigation/plumbing, tile setting, cabinetry, or carpentry skills. Or engineers of any kind - you engineers are always amazing! By skills, that means someone who really knows what they're doing, and doesn't need to be cleaned up after! We've had "carpenters" who don't even know how to use a sander, painters who left tools everywhere, including out in the rain, etc. Sorry to complain, but we just mean to say that we would appreciate your honesty about the level and amount of experience you have.

Another area which we could use your help with is building an online store. Previous experience with setting up Wix or WP stores (or Shopify maybe) and integrating them with an accounting system would make you Rona's best friend.

We may be able to use your he... more inside

We keep the property in shape, care for the animals ( horses, Zebu cow, goats, dogs, birds etc), continue putting up shelters, develop permaculture projects, paint, and form ideas to pull tourists here to the county (eg.continue tweaking our airsoft arenas/ fields etc).
Stay in a trailer unless the weather isn't suitable; wifi.
Any stay 1-21 days.

Non-smokers please (including 420 products) ... seriously! Tools can be dangerous enough.
Usually a 6 day week; Sundays definitely off after caring for the critters. We work until about 2 pm ( hour noon lunch-break ) The afternoons and evenings are free. Bikes are available to use to the lake and area; excellent library. There is no public transport; not necessary.

The town is small and situated in SE Colorado surrounded by ranches and farming. The Rockies begin only 2 hours distant, with Colorado Springs 1 1/2 hours distant , and New Mexico the same distance -other direction.
