I manage five mobile home rental properties in the Phoenix Metro area, in south Scottsdale Arizona on the border with Tempe Arizona just a few miles from Arizona State University.

I need help with building an outdoor yoga studio, renovating houses, landscaping and maintaining a small urban garden. I also need help with taking care of the rental properties, painting, cleaning, building, errands. I would like to develop a sustainable mini eco-village. There are always projects to work on and I appreciate ideas from helpers to improve the properties.

Short-term home stay options: (one week to two months) Projects are usually done from October - April with an opportunity for free accommodations in exchange for work, helpers provide their own meals.

Long-term Homestay option From May - September, helper is needed to stay in my home while I am away and handle some errands, property management tasks. Helpers are responsible for utilities costs and meals.

Ready to see some aliens? Come to Roswell and visit the UFO Museum and other fascinating places here. BTW, you will not find any aliens in my house, sorry to say...

I am a retired teacher, and I stay busy most of the time. I am a Teacher Liaison for the Space Foundation, president of the Roswell Astronomy Club, tutor for people online and in person, volunteer at church and in schools, and a travel nut. I was an exchange student in Spain for a semester and have also traveled throughout Europe and Brazil. I have hosted and surfed often through Couchsurfing and enjoy meeting new people.

I am married with two sons. My oldest son lives in Nashville after landing a great job, and my youngest son is starting his second year at college. The youngest son does come home periodically for some home-cooked meals. :) We have three outside dogs and four cats that spend time inside and out.

My husband and I live in a ranch-style home outside of the Roswell city limits. Our ho... more inside

Looking for HelpXers after October 22.

We are family of 4 who moved to Texas from Australia 3 years ago. Nate is a scientist and Rika is an Elementary Teacher. Our daughters are 11 years and 9 years old. We have 2 dogs and 2 horses. We are looking to add chickens and veggie gardens to the farm.

Our farm is 5 acres of thick Cedar and Oak trees. There is a full size sand arena and 3 stall barn on property. The house has all the comforts of WiFi, bathrooms and laundry. There are many parks, trails and reserves close by.

We ask for 2-3 hours a day per person. This is in exchange for room and food. Current projects could include clearing land (trees, bushes and rocks), building a chicken coop, renovation of home, cleaning chores in home, cooking, picking up dog poop, unpacking garage, etc.

We have an airstream camper with a/c that you can reside in. Small kitchen. Can't use bathroom as the plumbing is not hooked up but can use showers, bathtub etc in house.

We need helpers beginning in November through the end of the year
. We prefer to have "Helpers" who are willing to socialize with our family and learn what we do as well as teaching us what they do. We want this to be a 2-way street. We also prefer that you have some self-motivation.

Our main focus is the rescue of llamas and alpacas and we need help in the pastures with feeding, fencing, clearing tree branches, burning etc. We have projects going on at all times and can use someone who is willing to learn about our operation. Would also like help with projects around the property including electrical and minor carpentry. Our chickens are in their "palace" due to our Helpxer's and we now have fresh eggs. We are expanding our chicken palace to move 30 new ones in.

Besides helping with the llamas and alpacas, we have property projects, and other odds and ends.

We have very limited internet (no Wi-Fi) but you can check emails and future hosts. We will explain further if... more inside

I am an older woman, living on five mostly undeveloped acres just outside Roswell, N.M. (yes, THAT Roswell) who needs help mostly outside, trying to make my property self-sustainable. I'm learning as I go, so trying new things is always fun.

I have just retired from my job and will be traveling the world for the next few years. However, the property still needs caring for and my caretaker, Gary, a HelpXer himself, will be overseeing it and taking over the hosting duties.

Thanks to some marvelous HelpXers in the past, the major (read: really hard) work is done, so now I need folks who can help plant, weed, water and harvest my gardens, as well as feed and care for my two llamas, six goats, two ducks and dozen or so chickens.

There's still some outdoor cleanup to be done and we both love folks who come up with creative new ideas for my property. (And, if you're into cooking or housekeeping, we won't turn that down either.)

If you have carpentry skills, know how to weld, d... more inside

We will need help starting in early January 2018.

The Farm is a small (8 acre) organic vegetable farm located in the San Pedro Valley near Benson, Arizona.

We are a production farm, currently growing a variety of vegetables for sale in farmers' markets in the nearby Tucson metropolitan area, to our CSA shareholders, to restaurants, and a few institutions.

Activities at our farm include plant propagation, bed preparation, planting, cultivating and harvesting of vegetables, along with washing and packing for the market and CSA shares.

We also are involved in various infrastructure projects such as drainage management and irrigation system development and high tunnel modification, among others.

Our suggested length of stay is one month up to six months.

Our expectations for work include assistance primarily with agricultural activities for 30 hours of work in exchange for accommodations and food. We currently have accommodations for 3 in two travel trailers.

Hi!! Looking for someone to help me this October (for 2 weeks?). I am creating a small apartment in the back of my building, and need help with framing, sheetrock work, and various painting projects. Alternatively, it would also be cool to have help cooking and/or cleaning, and/or helping me with computer related projects. Knowledge of carpentry work is not necessary.. just a willingness to work. Attention to detail is a plus. Ideally I would like to work 4 full days a week. If my main apartment is not being rented as an AirBnB, you'll have your own room there. If the AirBnB is rented, we'll be camping out in my studio where I have a small kitchen area and a full bathroom. If you are interested in going to Big Bend National Park, I'll be heading out there in early November and will need help there with another project.. which I am listing separately.
I am an artist working in metal, fiber and mixed media. My main gig is making custom light fixtures
I love meeting new folks and m... more inside

Currently looking for help for the last two weeks of October and again starting in February

About Blue Mountain Trail Vineyard:
Sustainably farmed wine grape vineyard in the Davis Mountains of west Texas, about 25 miles north of Marfa and 30 miles from the Amtrak station in Alpine. We have beds for five or six people in a communal sleeping space in the upstairs area of an insulated metal building, with kitchen, bathroom and living space downstairs. At 5400ft (1650M) elevation, our winters are cold but the summers are mostly mild, with warm days and cool nights. The temperatures here rarely exceed 92F (33C).
While I am looking for help most of the year, spring and fall are the busiest times, and sometimes we have a pretty good crowd here for pruning, planting and harvesting. Helpers should ideally have their own transportation, as I have to leave the vineyard site frequently and the nearest town is eight miles away. That said, with some coordination I can pick people up from th... more inside

We have WIFI, satellite TV, hot & cold water, electricity and will share all of our meals….. but no vegetarian, vegan, gluten/GMO free, extraordinary requests, or other food fads.
