Looking for a person that is interested in woodworking and silversmithing. Working time would average about 30 hours a week. I am retired only to start working on my own and now I am getting too busy. You can see some of my work on my website. A person that would fit here the best should like the study fo sacred geometry and spirituality. My place is at the edge of the national forest and has a hiking trailhead right across the road. Sedona, Arizona is a very special and high energy place.
Please do not come if you smoke or drink a lot or do drugs or have a lot of emotional baggage as Sedona will spit you out and I do not have time to deal with your problems. I have a master bedroom with bathroom for you to use and will provide the food that both of us will cook. Also free wifi and cable through out the house.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR one or 2 helpers TO STAY on our property.
stay on our pristine land in the forest of the red rock country.

We offer living space placed privately, surrounded by beauty. We invite you to live in the serenity of the high desert mountains. It was our dream to live in close contact with nature, without the need for carrying water in buckets or messing with improvised drainage systems or reading by candlelight . Steven created a most comfortable setting with all the comfort we are used to these days.
a unique experience...

Pictures are located on our blog link above.

LOTS OF SILENCE, LOTS OF SPACE
PURE UNSPOILED NATURE
A ZILLION STARS
The surrounding land is very beautiful and very unpopulated, lots of wildlife. We are basically surrounded by national forest land. Hiking and riding trails abound, ruins dating back 800 to 1000 years are everywhere present...you need only discover them. There are a zillion stars, much privacy and quietude. We are a young couple living on 10 acres of beautiful desert property in SE Arizona. On our property we have seen owls, coyotes, javilinas, birds and have a 360 degree view (unobstructed) of the beautiful mountains surrounding us.

Our goal is to learn more about permaculture, cob building, gardening, rainwater harvesting, etc. and start some new projects and complete others. Since most of our funds are wrapped up in buying our first home/property, we don't get out to travel and meet others and we miss that.

With HelpExchange, we can share our house/property, meet people, share ideas AND get some fun projects done! We want to live here for a long time and hope that others will come and leave their positive mark. Whether it is helping us mold/form a cob structure, planting something in the garden or splashing some paint on the walls, it would be great to have others here participating and sharing in this experience.

We have a spare room, full RV hook-up (with an RV) as wel... more inside

Organic Status: only organic methods applied

This is a horticultural project that strives for a sustainable vegan and drug-free lifestyle; raising herbs, vegetables, fruit and nut bearing trees, and cactus. We apply only organic methods and techniques. Our neighbors also have a laboratory for sustainable living and the native arts right next to us and we cooperate on some projects, so there are daily opportunities for connecting with them and their resources as well.

We are not taking-in any work exchangers at this time. Please check our profile periodically within the next few months for a change in our help exchange status!

We are developing 11+ acres, where we are growing 10 different species of cactus. Our plans are to continue revegetating the land with cactus, as well as planting a variety of native, nut, fruit, and other desert adapted trees and shrubs.

There are also plenty of opportunities for contributing to an expanding organic garden project, which includes three greenhouses, an orchard, a variety of o... more inside

We are a 90 acre family-run alpaca farm in the mountains of Northern Arizona. Alpacas are easy on the environment, thrive in our sometimes-harsh high desert clime, and provide a peaceful interlude with a sweet face. We strive to minimize environmental impact while growing our herd of these incredible, intelligent animals. We are on solar power, completely off the grid, recycle everything, and must do for ourselves and our animals. We grow a large garden and practice sustainable pasture improvement. We are NOT vegan, but believe in humane practices and good, healthful eating. Our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs keep range cattle and predators away from our alpacas, barn cats and the flock of laying hens and free-range semi-feral bantam chickens we keep for bug control.
At over 5100 feet elevation, our summertime weather is fantastic with cool (50F) nights and hot (105F) days. Workers are welcome all year with two private and shared rooms, camping and RVing ok. AmTrak, airpo... more inside

Mustang Training. This year we will be getting wild horses ready for adoption. We will gentle horses caught in the Jicarilla Ranger District or other locations and advertise and show them for adoptive placement. It is not important to have prior horse experience, but it is important that you be able to control your emotions (especially fear). You must willingly follow directions. The camp will run as an educational environment with study of various styles of horse training, readings, and horse training videos. We will expect you to study! You must provide your own safety equipment (helmet, boots, and protective vest). You will also have the opportunity to handle domestic horses and may receive riding instruction depending on riding horse availability and time. See our YouTube channel via our website link above for a good idea of our style of training, which is slanted towards positive reinforcement. This is a behavioral modification program and not a "horse whispering" program.

My home is in close proximity to Tenkiller Lake, the Illinois River and the Cherokee Nation Tribal headquarters. A great time to visit this area is around Labor Day, that is the Cherokee National Holiday, celebrating the signing of their constitution. Many activities! College town. One hour from Tulsa, OK. I work M-F 8 to 5, but could show you around a bit on the weekends. I could host up to 6 persons. My husband recently had back surgery, and has not been able to perfom much maintenance on our home in a few years, since his injury. We have two young adult sons and two medium sized nice dogs. Need: Yard work, shed assembly, painting (interior), etc.
