We are a hosting family on the Tennessee River. We often have visitors from all over the world. We belong to 6 different hosting or accommodation sharing groups. We usually have several projects, some very interesting, some mundane to make this a better place for travelers. We are looking for people, 1 or 2 at a time, who want to work here and enjoy the peaceful river life. Work is varied. There may be carpentry work, garden work, maintenance, dock work, boat work, deck work, concrete work, windmill projects. Etc. we try to tailor what needs to be done with your skills and abilities or your desire to learn certain skills. You will most likely have your own room. Bathroom (there are 4) and showers (there are 2) are shared with the household. You can eat with us. We are looking for someone who can make themselves part of the household, you can take a turn cooking if you know how. We share house chores, cleaning, cooking, putting away. What else ... We like people who can blend i...

There is always work to be done here . . . We need help maintaining the property, building new buildings, parking RVs, mowing the fields, trails & sites, picking up driftwood, planting fields, and possibly operating big farm equipment. In the future we would like to add/build cabins and a restaurant. There is a cabin on the property where you would stay (I am happy to email pictures). You will be working along side other happy campers. Couples are welcome. Please check out our website or facebook for pictures of the park. Below is a description of our RV park:
The endless river traffic of the Mississippi is the main attraction here. The atmosphere is relaxed, laid back and peaceful while the RV Park is clean, well maintained and totally natural.
The view of the sun rising over The Mississippi River is rivaled only by the full moon rising in the fall. Plenty of trails and wildlife compliment the nicely mowed fields and long, level concrete sites. Across the River is unspoiled ...

Organic Status: Certified Naturally Grown
Our farm is a diversified, sustainable, family farm. Our dream is to create and maintain a healthy, dynamic eco-system on these 58 acres in the Appalachian foothills. Through our stewardship, we strive to support our family and to offer wholesome, delicious, chemical-free foods to others in our community. We are located on Sand Mountain in north eastern Alabama, and are a small, family farm working toward true sustainability. We raise dairy & meat goats which are browsed and grazed in a management intensive system; dual purpose sheep (wool & meat) which are continuously on grass; and day range a small flock of laying hens; Our Certified Naturally Grown market garden produces vegetables, herbs and some fruits using a small, artisanal approach. We are beginning our fourth year in commercial production. Projects and goals are to continue to improve permanent pastures, build fencing and shelters; continue to improve the soil and production of the market garden; increase laying flock siz...

Organic Status: Certified Naturally Grown
Noah Valley Farm is a young, sustainably-minded farm here in rural Alabama near a college town. We grow a wide variety of produce for our local CSA, restaurants and markets. There's a 2 acre garden, ponds, 40 acre hardwood forest with trails, shiitake mushroom operation, lots of wildlife. We have chickens in the garden, hand tools, mulches, tractors, cover crops, permaculture techniques, and we try to pay attention to the moon and stars. Laid back farm house, good kitchen and awesome food, music, books, porches, wifi, wwoofers coming and going. Helpers can give about 30 hours work per week for room and board. Work is mainly in the garden, planting, hoeing and picking, other projects too. Short stay ok, stipends available for 3 month internship, small farm training. Town is a 10 minute drive away; national forest, mountains, canoeing close by, bike rail-trail from Atlanta. Good drivers can borrow the car. Can pick up from Amtrak and Greyhound in Anniston, AL. Thanks!

We're a family living in beautiful Miami Beach and we'd love to host people who are interested in removing current garden/landscaping, which is non-pesticide, and creating an organic fruit and veg and other plants garden.
We are also interested in people with painting, carpentry, sewing and cleaning skills and experience for various projects.

We are a sort of urban village in a great, artist neighborhood in Atlanta.
We have a community garden, outdoor stage, wood fired sauna, pond, and more.
The location is excellent for seeing Atlanta's sights. We are very close to the subway station. The world's largest aquarium is downtown. The "hippy" shopping district is walking distance, with a large organic grocery store. There are large parks
Some of us are musicians. We also host concerts and music festivals. There are about 30 people of all ages here who hang out regularly.
Work requirment is about 20-25 hours per week, flexible schedule. Work will include painting and helping with small renovation projects in the house. Some gardening work, though we are not an operational farm.
Housing space right now is skimpy and may include tent camping. We can provide the tent.
Directions: try mapping our address in google. Driving: From Atlanta go east on interstate I-20. Exit "moreland avenue north". Go about 1 mile. Y...

Housekeeper
I am seeking a lady for light housekeeping. Duties include some cooking, light cleaning, some gardening, and laundry, probably 2-4 hours per day. You must be D&D free. Drivers license helpful. I like to do weekend trips in Florida. Length of stay depends on you, but minimum of one month. Partial transportation cost reimbursement possible.
I live 15 minutes from the beach, 15 minutes frown Kennedy Space Center, 1 hour from Orlando and all the tourist attractions, and 45 minutes from Daytona Beach.
You will have a private carpeted room with air conditioning (share bath), free food, access to my high speed internet, and plenty of time off.

We are located just outside of Greeneville, in east Tennessee. We are within 1 hour of Dollywood, and about 45 min. from Asheville, NC. and the blue ridge parkway. We are just 1 hour east of knoxville, between Knoxville and Johnson City & Bristol, Tn. Lots of sites to see near by, white water rafting within 1 hour of farm, hiking close by, lots of other sites to see and Greeneville is the home of President Andrew Johnson with his museum in town to tour. We are only about 5 miles from the west side of town. We farm approximately 65 acres. We raise Guineas, & Boer Goats & have a large garden. We have added chickens for fresh eggs. We can accommodate 2 to 4 interns. On site housing and camping is available. One camping trailer is available for a full-season worker or couple. There is a shared kitchen, and farm produce can be harvested for meals. No smoking, drugs, or alcohol. Meal preparation is mostly on your own, with food from the farm provided. If you have experience with organic ...

This is a fledgling farm with dairy goats, Clydesdale horses, a llama and a Great Pyrenees to guard them, and lots of space for expansion. Of the ~11 hectares, about 5 are in pasture and hayfields, and the rest are wooded.
Housing would be a master bedroom/bath in the farmhouse. Licensed drivers might have access to a vehicle. Clyde and cart available for experienced drivers, bicycle also available.
4-5 hours of work would be needed. Projects could include haying, mowing pastures, fencework, construction of shelters for goats/horses, exercising horses, gardening, protecting fruit trees, farm implement upkeep, milking goats, etc. Expertise in forest management would also be desirable, although not necessary.
If you'd like to get away and have a nice, quiet place with lots of animal companionship in a beautiful setting, I could use the help!
