Aloha,

If you are a caring, truth seeking, real soul who is trying to get more on the healthy, truly plant based and natural path(veganic), maybe we can help and assist each other for a common gol. Athletic, fit, Straight male with great references and experience using just natural things like raw organic vinegar and baking soda homemade solutions to clean and wash, as well as preparing alkalizing, mostly raw veganic meals. compost or reuse everything, including outhouse, no trash/waste, garden veganicaly (vegan organic grown and no usda bs or lies) and even prepare veganic meals for wild animals, and also care for them truly naturally, as i'm open to offering a free place for them down the line. Truly Natural, Plant based Permaculture and sustainability and no waste or trash is the gol. I'm also looking at other various locations, more in the country/forest, as i'm still more suburban now, so if you are patient that would be good.

A barter live in work trade and good fit is ... more inside

Here at the farm, we’re offering guests hands on experience with alternative construction methods and organic gardening in addition to a variety of other projects throughout the summer and fall! We’re beginning the planting of our new, 400 square ft hoop house and visitors are enjoying the bounty of wonderful fruits, vegetables from our farm while gaining valuable experience in permacultural techniques.

We grow organic vegetables, fruit and timber for local markets in western MA. Hello! We are Shane and Ann-Marie, and we're looking for help building a very small, simple, off-grid cob house in a gorgeous wooded area near Bethel, Maine USA.

Some examples of specific things we need help with are: Mixing/stacking cob, meal prep, raking leaves/debris, gathering kindling, collecting & sorting rocks, collecting & sorting gravel & sand, building a small stone wall, help with putting in a drain trench/rubble trench, camp cleanup, store runs, and good company.

Not familiar with cob? It's ok! It's our first time too. We have lots of books. :)

Our land is a beautiful place to camp with nearly 87 acres of woods with nice walking trails. Great place to relax and unwind!

We can comfortably host probably 4 people at once, but would be willing to host more if you're part of a larger group.

Meals/water/evening beers provided.
Please bring your own tent/camping gear/enthusiasm.

Text, email, or call for more info!

We are a small hill sheep farm. We raise high quality Icelandic Sheep for milk, meat, and wool, and we sell breeding stock. In the Green Mountains of central Vermont, we rise early for daily feeding chores of our horses, sheep, and chickens, and then move on to other farm chores during the day such as skirting wool, making yogurt, selling at our local farmer’s market, or hand milking our ewes (in season).
We concentrate on producing hearty, disease and parasite resistant sheep, and on keeping them in a healthy and humane environment. Our flock is intentionally small so that we can know each of our “girls” personally. :)
We offer a room in our home (or a pullout couch if the room is taken) and all meals in exchange for about 4 hours of work a day. We are only a few miles from Vermont’s Long Trail, and from Bolton Valley ski area. We are also a short drive (15min) from Lake Champlain and Burlington, VT.
If you are interested in coming to help, I have some more information to send y... more inside

Hello!

Priorities right now depending on your skill set.

* Vegetable and flower gardening
* Prepping a new area for garden, berries, and trees. Here that basically means mowing any grass very short and covering it with leaves and whatever organic material can be found for free.
* Painting the trim on the house in some places that were redone at the end of 2017.
* Cooking and cleaning are always welcome.
* Animal care
* Light carpentry

About this property and me

My name is Bonnie Farrell. I have been on my property for 15 years and farming it for 10. I own 40 acres with wonderful views and a couple of very small ponds. I am open to different kinds of help and levels of experience. I have a three bedroom, three-bathroom house. One spare room has a queen bed and the other has a full bed. So would allow two singles or two couples to stay at one time. Future help would be staying in the house with me and thus would be treated as part of the family. Hopefull... more inside
