SOURCE TEMPLE SANCTUARY IN CUNHA, BRAZIL

Source Temple is a non-denomination Communication Center. Our sole purpose is to bring Unity to the minds of those who believe in a reality apart from the One Underlying Reality which is Pervasive and All-encompassing. We are open to all principles of Atonement, whatever their source. We bring people together, we bring minds together, we establish connections using whatever symbols are brought to us. We use any and all symbols to demonstrate that mind is one; that consciousness is singular, and always already wholly Integrated. We stay “above the battle ground” which appears on the world’s stage; before differences, opinions, and points of view. Our practice and our demonstration is Absolute Reliance upon That which inherently transcends such deceptions and artificial super-impositions upon Reality as It always already IS.

We would love the minds that want to come to the ashram to join us as much as they can in our experience. What wo... more inside

* Farm in Ubajara, Ibiapaba's Plateau, Ceará, Brazil *

(Sítio Buriti dos Camilos)

Hey, everyone, my name is Rodrigo, I'm a Computer Engineer who has decided to get out of the city life and moved to the countryside. I'm living on my own in the rural zone in Ubajara, in a farm. I moved about a year ago, so I'm still getting used and learning the farm life. The farm was somewhat abandoned, so we're still getting back on track and restructuring it.

We produce and sell fruit, vegetables and have cattle and swine.
We are making the transition to a more permaculture/agroecology/organic oriented environment.

I need help in any of the many things to do, which include (in descending order of priority):
- Home improvements and small projects like furniture making, painting etc
- Cleaning and house maintenance
- Cooking
- Working the land: tilling, watering the plants, harvesting etc
- Help with the animals: we have cattle and pigs

I can offer:
* Accommodation in a room wi... more inside

Permaculture-Self sustainable Farm Living
(Caju and Ann-Kathrin Martins)
We are a young multi cultural family, Brazilian and German-Canadian. We are in our early forties and have three kids aged 17, 14, and 10.
Three years ago we drove our car from Canada to Brazil and worked on different farms along the way thru the helpx program. We learned and exchanged ideas about Permaculture and self sustainability. After we arrived in Brazil and bought land we decided to become hosts for the helpx program due to our positive experience.
Our farm is situated in a Natural Reserve area called Bananal, located 18 Km away from the beaches of Perube - SP.
Here we have begun our project. Using the idea behind observing and working with what is natural and unique to this landscape we are learning to grow local plants and fruit trees, as well as understand the forestation of the area, to best work with the land to support us and our animals. Currently we are growing orchards of multi... more inside

A private residence surrounded by nature in the outskirts of a small historic, interior town. Help is needed maintaining the yard, vegetable garden and house. Owner would accompany volunteers in all work. Suggested work hours are 6 hours per day usually starting at 7 in the morning. Tasks are varied and relatively light. A homestay offers the opportunity to learn alternative living skills during a one week stay (possibly more) and sharing of ideas. Additional compensation would include a private room with hot shower (alternatively a 3 man tent mounted in the yard), use of the entire property in which to relax and contemplate (there is a meditation pond and a solar heated bathing pool), interactions with the local culture, personal time off, morning and afternoon meals with the host family during work days, and other recreational activities weekends such as hiking to waterfalls and maybe camping. If we go out to a restaurant, everyone would pay their part.

I'm a retired french (Breton from Brest) sailor living on my sailing boat (Samson C Baron Ketch 57 feet).
I found my paradise in Paraty (200 km south of Rio de Janeiro)
The boat is basically anchored in Paraty bay, 2mn with motored dinghy from historical center.
I always need light help for cleaning or to fix small problems on the boat.
I'll offer free hosting to competent helpers for 3 to 4 hours of "work" per day, and for short stay only.
Welcome in Paradise

UPDATE : During summer season (december to march) I'm doing charter sailing in the islands with paying guests, so it's impossible for me to plan the time where I can host volonteers.
So, contact me only when you are about to arrive in Paraty.

UPDATE 2 : Considering the kind of requests I'm receiving, I want to meet volonteers on land before accepting them on board (sorry, but we are in Brazil...)

UPDATE 3 : I get up at 6h every morning, so if you use to stay in bed till 10h plse stay on land

We are a family-owned hostel located in historic Diamantina, Minas Gerais.

Helpers have the option of working in various areas of our business: working in the reception, organizing and maintaining computer data and online presence, general maintenance of property. The family also owns a beautiful farm just 15km from the city where helpers are invited to explore and work.

In return, we provide a bed, breakfast, and a very warm and convivial atmosphere. Also, whatever information we can provide to make your stay in Diamantina the best it can be!

We are seeking helpers who have a working knowledge of Portuguese, as many people in this area of Brazil do not speak English, and we receive many Brazilian travelers. However, we love to learn about other countries, and so we encourage helpers to share the music, food, culture of their home country with us.

Duration of stay depends on relationship developed with helper... we ask for a minimum of two weeks, and any longer stay... more inside

I'm French and I'm 6 years in Brazil. I would be happy to have you as a guest in my organic farm in the Cerrado. The place here enjoys a wonderful biodiversity and a lot of endemic plants. It is a small farm focused on ecotourism. I would like to raise awareness of the preservation of the Cerrado, of the agroecology and of the use of the medicinals plants of the Cerrado among young and enthusiastic people. I look forward to seeing you there!
