We re a traditionnal restaurant with overwater bungalows running for four years in the town of Pearl Lagoon, Nicaraguan Caribbean. We work also on the responsible and green tourism field with some tours around the local communities and the Pearl Cays in the Atlantic Ocean. We discover helpx through a Helper we have here for a while. We are happy to try it with you and wait to share good experiences with guests/helpers.
We share the house between the family and other workers. We require discretion and respect inside the house to keep in good terms with the owner who also lives there. You will see, anyway, people live outside here and you will probably spend most of your time relaxing in town with your future Creole friends than in the empty house.
In exchange of 4 to 6 hours of work per day (more or less busy), 5 days a week, we provide you three meals a day on the working days and the accomodation for free for all your stay.
This season we ll be happy to welcome a helper w...

Finca Coco Loco is a permaculture farm, raw food healing center and spiritual community. Our primary practice is to dial back our minds, energize our bodies and build a sustainable community. The finca has been in a permaculture mode for 6 years with many tropical fruits and organic cocao trees. April/May is mango Madness and Avocado awareness month, come and eat to your hearts content.
So here's the deal. What is your image of shangri-La? Have you ever thought about it? We have, could not find it, so we are inventing it day to day. For us it consists of healing food, healing work and enough silence and freedom to begin to shed the intense programming of the Matrix. We keep it simple. The earth is first, personalities come 2nd. We live to breathe, to walk bare foot on the earth, to feel the sun and wind caress bodies, while enjoying nature's bounty as karma yoga finds fulfillment in the fruits of our labors. We live in the moment and generally try not to take ourse...

I URGENTLY NEED HELP WITH SEWING. from someone that also loves dog as you would have to look after my dog when I go on visa run .
I am a retired Nomad. For work I design and sew clothes but I also make accessories out of recycled material. While making a living selling my creation I also teach people of the local community the craft that have helped me survive during my travels. I am trying to create a co operative where local people will work together starting from nothing and will manage themselves the operation.I just believe in recycling and know that some people are just running out of ideas in what to do to survive.I have way too many ideas for myself to use and so I am trying to kill two birds at once. I do not want to be the boss though, I really want to have a group of people willing to work and use their abilities to find the right role for them and help them to become independent. So far I have taught sewing to four women, three people are collecting the material,...

hola,
my name is celine, i'm a 29 years old French lady who is living near the city of leon, nicaragua I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU A LITTLE STORY, so pay attention please,.
I have bought a land in a little authentic fishing and surfing village in nicaragua called JIQUILILLO,to make a non profit project for children and teenagers.. This village is beautiful. one can find there open hearted people and children everywhere who just want to learn more, but unfortunately they dont have this chance.... unlike powerful countries such as United states or European ones, children don't have the chance to attend to learning based activities or practice any kind of sport because there are no facilities to make it possible.
i am planning a project for children in a little fishing village in nicaragua called JIQUILILLO in the pacific coast, outseeing the beach.
i bought some land over there and I would like to build a playground area and an art school. Currently everythin...

Looking for a new long-term manger starting June. Manager gets everything free plus some other benefits and bonuses.
I am starting construction on another deluxe treehouse in June. I will be building around a large tree using bamboo as a structure. I will be looking for volunteers who would like to be a part of that process throughout May and June.
Volunteering here will give you an absolutely unique, once in a lifetime experience: staying at an awesome location in the jungle, joining our family-like team, and meeting many new people. You can enjoy our relaxed atmosphere, flexible work schedules, good accomodation, excellent parties and great meals. Our volunteers come looking for a great environment for young people and affordable place to stay long-term in Central America. They often become part of a family and stay much longer than anticipated.
IMPORTANT!!!
The treehouse is an absolutely brilliant place to stay. But before we tell you all the ins and outs about vo...

VOLUNTEER SPACES AVAILABLE STARTING AUGUST 2013.
Our lodge is located directly on the beach of the Pacific Ocean, on a nearly deserted island, yet only 20 minutes from the historic city of Leon, Nicaragua and a 5 minute boat ride from the beach town of Poneloya. We are the only Island solar powered hostel on Nicaragua's Pacific Coast.
We have three cabanas, two private rooms, and one large dorm. The lodge includes a restaurant, swing bar & lounge, rentals, and activities.

Our crew is young and energetic with great ambitions to have a ridiculous amount of fun, whilst having a positive impact on the beautiful country of Nicaragua. This is a hostel, a tour company, and a place for travellers and backpackers to meet and share experiences.
However, we are much more than that, it is a project which we are embarking upon. Our heart lies in wanting to make a positive impact on every aspect of life and work in which we are a part of. As we grow we will improve our services, we will become more sustainable, and we will expand and diversify. We do not look at things as if there is one owner but that we are all owners.
We hope to create an atmosphere full of positive vibes that one and all are welcome to enjoy.
We're looking for travelers to temporarily help us with volcano boarding tours, entertainment (games, activities, etc...), bartending, reception, restaurant (waitress, cook/ chef), admin and more. We're also looking for travelers to participate i...
