Greetings,

We have a fun and eclectic guesthouse directly on the beach in Santa Marianita. We are located 20 minutes south of Manta. Santa Marianita beach is long, sandy and safe to walk day or night. This is not a party beach and is very quiet on weekdays. Weekends and holidays can be noisy. It is well known for kite surfing.

Our volunteer shifts are 5 hours, 5 days per week with two days each week off to explore and enjoy this wonderful area in Ecuador. We prefer a commitment of three weeks or longer. The hours covered are 7:00 AM until 9:00 PM. Duties include cleaning, helping in the cafe, caring for cats and dogs, helping with light maintenance, greeting and assisting guests with their luggage, and various improvement projects.

We are seeking outgoing, energetic, low drama and drug-free volunteers who love animals, are ready to work hard with a smile and have fun meeting people from all over the world. Our helpful friendly volunteers along with the company ... more inside

I fell in love with beautiful Mompiche, moved here and started to build my dream house. It is a five story bamboo house, built like a wedding cake. The top floor has a spectacular 360 degree view, with views from the shower and the toilet too!
Mompiche is a quaint fishing village with a pristine 40 mile crescent moon bay. From October to April there are world-class waves, attracting surfers from around the world. It is surrounded by jungle with monkeys and tons of birds, including toucans and parrots.
I am a masseuse from Esselen, Big Sur, California with 40 years of experience.
Chocolate making, basket weaving, and coconut cracking classes are available. Tours of the jungle and yoga can be arranged. You can explore the incredible surrounding area on foot or in kayaks, on horseback, or on a motor boat.

I am charging $10 a week for bottled water and a bed in my dream house. I offer 5 breakfasts and 5 dinners for $30. I only ask for 15 hours of work a week. By the way I am a ve... more inside

We need people who have some experience gardening, planting trees, weeding, and digging.

4 hours X 5 days of work trade in order to stay here.

In exchange we will provide a small one room A frame cabin for you to stay in plus basic vegetarian food. We provide a cook top, propane fuel, and some cooking pots. There is water at the camp to use for cooking, washing, showering.

This is a special place, remote, in the high montains, beautiful environment, and peaceful, with singing birds and blooming flowers. We can see the top ridge of the continental divide and the highest local peak from here, and we are very close to the Podacarpus National Park, which has the most biodiversity of any place on Earth.

This place can be too isolated for some people to be alone here so it is best if two friends come together. Of course people who love nature and enjoy solitude can com... more inside

Come and share unforgettable moments and permaculture knowledge. I want to teach you how beautiful and generous is mother earth!!

The finca is the ideal place for travelers, students or those interested who want to combine relaxation and knowledge helping in daily tasks and sharing experiences.

You will learn how to plant and harvest your own food like edible leaves, nuts, fruits, medicinal plants, and we will teach you how to cook them and their many uses...

I want you to enjoy your time, to live in a respectful way and to discover a sustainable life style and the charm of the countryside. That is why you have the freedom enough to organize your day as you feel it.

We share all our meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). In general, we eat what we harvest during the day and fresh fish when the fish seller comes. We mostly eat vegetarian + fish but also vegan if needed

ENGLISH

You want to get to know the East Part (Amazonia) of Ecuador and not just for a short trip? You would like to live the daily live with a kichwan family? Then you are very welcome and we´d be happy to have you here in our family.

** There are several large projects the family needs help with right now, such as building a traditional style house in the jungle on a beautiful piece of property with two small waterfalls. The family would prefer volunteers who can stay for one week or longer, preferably a month. To help cover the costs, volunteers pay 3 dollars a day. After two weeks, it is 2 dollars a day and after a month 1 dollar a day, as the more familiar with the work, the more volunteers are able to learn and help the family.**

Our family lives in Tena but we also have a farm in the jungle, about an hour from the city. There is plenty of work to be done throughout the year. There is no set program for volunteers, but rather you will live with us as part of the famil... more inside

Low-cost independent volunteer opportunity with a small ecological non-profit organization in the small coastal city of Bahía de Caráquez:

Experience a new culture... Learn Spanish and... Plant native trees for ecological restoration...

Experience life in Ecuador as a local (not a tourist) and assist with long-term ecological projects related to community-based forest restoration and bioregional education.

Volunteering is free. Accommodations (highly recommended) at the Planet Drum house cost $100/month - located at a beautiful, beach-front house with private yard. Volunteers can stay with the Ecuador Program Director and his family (Ecuadorian wife, children 7 and 2 years old, and three dogs) in a communal living environment best described as an international home-stay.
