It has a new pool as well as rancho bar and it attracts an interesting international backpacker segment that come to chill in the huge garden by the pool or chilling on hammocks, we are ideally located near costa rica and close to the fortuna rain forest as well as pacific beaches and boguete all within one hour. We need volunteer that will work a few hours a day in exchange for a dorm bed. light housework or other tasks depending on skills

Ishq (pronounced Ish-keh) is my country retreat and I use it to escape the bustle and busy social scene of Panama City.

The property is located West of the Gatun Locks of the Panama Canal, and just on the outskirts of the sleepy fishing village of Pina, in the province of Colon, Panama.

With its dramatic views of the Caribbean Sea, Ishq is a luxurious Caribbean villa with its own private beach, and coral reef perfect for snorkeling. This beachfront property is located on four (4) hectares / nine (9) acres surrounded by lush tropical gardens and directly facing the Caribbean Sea whose waters stay warm all year round.

Nearby attractions include the Panama Canal (Gatun Locks) -- you will be able to see the canal being expanded until 2014 --, Gatun Dam, Gatun Lake, the ruins of Fort San Lorenzo, Shelter Bay Marina, San Lorenzo National Park, and Achiote Road (top birdwatching spot).

Small island eco-lodge in caribbean side of Panama seeking work exchange person(s) for the following tasks:
I am primarily looking for someone to cook and interact with guests. I am also looking for people (couple welcome) who have one or a combination of the following skills : Cooking; gardening and light landscaping; basic and general household, vehicle and generator maintenance.
Training provided for the cooking but must have basic skills and the interest to learn.
Seeking minimum 1 month commitment (prefer longer term.) Biggest need is for the months of december through end of april, but welcome help year-round. Must like dogs, be easy-going and personable as we are a service oriented place. The cooking position entails working in an open kitchen which also acts as the "front desk" with lot of interaction with the public beyond cooking.
Due to limited housing, prefer a couple, but will take on individuals based on space availability.

This main house is an ongoing project and while incomplete, many people have stayed here and joined in.

The area is rustic and there are three separate houses on the land, all in need of care and attention, all open and very different one to the other, but still liveable in, and so a couple in each house would be ideal.

I have my own well that supplies the best water anywhere and I always describe it as champagne, which can be drunk without recourse to boiling, the water that is!

The garden runs down into the lagoon and this is a beautiful area in which to relax and swim, with wonderful clear water and a reef to the further end. There are underwater caves within the reef area that can be explored. I have three-man kayak that is superb for wandering the area. Also at the end of the garden is my pier with a thatched hut at the end, and hammocks under. My house in the city has a garden that I want to improve. Also I want to paint the house and fix some little works in the living room, kitchen and rest rooms.

It is a 3 rooms, 2 bath rooms. I can offer where to sleep, and food. 2 weeks stay is the optimal but we can manage that. You are going to be alone in the house during the day as i go to work, and theres wifi, u can use when u need it. we can talk in detail if u are interested.
