*Long-term support needed 6 months to 1 year*

This is a learning laboratory in creating community, building green businesses, innovating solutions for sustainable living, and sharing these innovations and learnings with the local community. In addition to creating our living spaces and the requisite water catchments, garden plots, chickens and other small animal areas, and food forests, we envision implementing initiatives such as shared workspaces for artisans and craftspeople, shared storefronts, local products, produce, crafts markets to strengthen local economies, and an eco-business incubator. All of this will be documented so that it can be improved upon and replicated and all of this has a huge social impact.

What's the project's status? We have a 9-room guest house that we operate commercially to help fund the project. It's also our center of operations and our co-living space. We recently purchased 21 gorgeous hectares of land about 10 km from the guest house where w... more inside

Help me build a food forest in the highlands of Chiriqui, Panama.
All organic of course using permaculture techniques with as much variety of edible plants, trees and fruits as possible.
You can commune with mother nature in this tranquil and semi-secluded hobby farm.
You will be weeding, pruning, planting, reaping, making compost and applying it. Landscaping a bit and you can exercise your artistic abilities. Please be in excellent health physically and mentally. We are the proud owners of a gorgeous four hectare land lot directly on Panama’s Caribbean coastline. There is plenty of garden work and housekeeping. We have an incredible tropical garden connected to a lush mangrove with hundreds of different species growing. It’s a botanist’s dream come true. The icing on the cake is the visiting packs of Geoffrey’s Cappucin and howler monkeys, as well as toucans, and sloths. Two loving dogs also live on the property.

There is plenty of of work for everyone: From physical work cleaning the beach and working on the gardens, to painting and housekeeping.

The house overlooks the Caribbean Sea from a beautiful highpoint. All you have to do is take the steps to the beach!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING VERY CAREFULLY:
We receive a lot of applications so make note of what You Need and what is Required of You with what we have informed of below.

My name is Johanna.
Ten years ago I emigrated from Austria to Panama.
I purchased a 50 hectare chocolate farm on the island of San Cristobal in Bocas Del Toro Panama.
The front portion of my property was mainly overgrown jungle and wetland. Of which I dried out by digging various streams and ponds.
The result was that of an ecological farm.
It has allowed me to live a self-sustainable lifestyle.
My goal was to build a new life far away from the materialistic driven world that I used to live in.
And I have realized this goal.

So…
If you’re interested in working hard and smart I am providing to the right people, to serious people, an opportunity to learn to live sustainably, in harmony with nature, and the prospect to become a part of something Bigger.
