Hi Everyone! We are the founders of Dos Cosechas coffee and we are looking for an English teaching volunteer to help out our small community. The community is located in the incredibly beautiful coffee region of Colombia just 15 minutes from Pereira.

**We have a volunteer opening starting January 2018**

We are primarily looking for a volunteer to teach English to children at the local school. In the morning, there are around 12 children from ages 5 to 12 years old, whose level of English ranges from complete beginner to intermediate. In the evening there is an adult class of about 10 beginner students. We are looking for native English speakers to teach a few hours a day Monday to Friday. Please feel free to use your weekends to explore this beautiful area of Colombia.

We offer a comfortable private apartment right next to the school. The apartment has a full bathroom, kitchen, and comfortable bedroom with wifi. We will stock your fridge with the basic essentials, and we... more inside

Description of the Farm & its activities:

The farm is spread on a 3 Hill mountain covering 20 exploited acres.

We are currently going through a process of certification re-known abroad. This farms is quite recent as the 2 brothers: German y Alejandro started planting 2 years ago and the first harvest occurred in the summer 2016.

A selection Zone was rebuilt during the Spring but we will create new space dedicated to fruits and tool storage. Wanting to chill out Medellin!!!?
Hola! :) I´m Alejandro from Medellín, I own a big property with 4 family houses. It is located in Envigado, the South of the city with average weather of 24°. It is 3kms away from the Metro station, it has bus stops near with routes going to everywhere in town and it has supermarkets and shopping malls just by...
I grew up in this same house since always, a place surrounded by nature; lots of huge trees, a river coming down the mountain, 3 dogs (my lovely babies), squirrels, butterflies, hummingbirds and hundreds of different birds.
Since 4 years ago I´ve been working on a project which brings together several passions that lots of people usually have and at the same time creates value to the local and foreign community. Just to mention some of the branches we´ve been performing:

-Football
-Beer
-Travels
-Music performance
-Artistic performance
-Juggling
-Camping
-Couching
-Meditation
-Permaculture
-Agriculture
-Cannabis Culture

Hello travelers, nomads and future helpers and thanks for your interest in our profile!

Our farm is located about 1,1/2 hours outside of the city of Cali and the same distance from its international airport. We are at 1,450m above sea level on the western cordillera (mountain range) of the Andes mountains. The yearly average temperature is around 21°C which means we enjoy the climate of Medellin ("the city of eternal spring") while being close to Cali.

We grow platanos, (organic) coffee, citrus fruits and many other tropical fruits like caimos, madroño, guanabana, guayaba, papaya, maracuya, zapote, tomate de arbol – only to name a few.

Last year we started a reforestation project on our land and at the moment we have converted more than 8 ha from grass to young trees and bamboo.

There are two people constantly living on the farm and we speak English, Spanish and German. Five very active dogs are waiting for you play with them.

You are invited to participate in our d... more inside

We are working at a communitarian level. It includes organic agriculture, waste management programs, ecological restauration, environmental education, arts, sports (ultimate team with the young’s), among others. Our main goal is to generate healthy alternatives for life in vulnerable communities. The home stay is a beautiful house with 3 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a washing area and a living room. This is a full of nature house with an amazing view of El Roble Canyon. It is just 10 minutes’ walk from El Roble River and about an hour from Filandia. The area is 45 minutes bus trip away from Salento/Quindío.
You are also welcome to participate in our family project. This is a beautiful 2 hectares organic farm that has been cultivated in a sustainable way for more than 12 years (previous owners). After two years away from the land, they´ve decided to pass "Los Andes" to other people who are in the same path as they were. There is a small natural forest with old trees. This is a new Spanish language school in Medellín, founded to close the gap that usually lies between the classroom and real-life fluency. We cut out the outdated (and frankly boring) aspects of traditional programs. We utilize language hacks, direct application and connection with locals, and developing the life skills needed in gaining fluency, such as building confidence in approaching people in a language you don't yet fully speak.

We're also tied into Medellin's ongoing redemption story and especially enjoy people interested in volunteer/ social work, entrepreneurs, and so on, though of course anyone is welcome to benefit from our program and our growing network of contacts in the city. We have a co-working space, hang out areas, and a micro-brewery.

We always have a face to face conversation with volunteers before taking them in. Generally we ask that you swing by the school to talk with us beforehand once you're in town. It is difficult for us to predict far in advance... more inside

We are looking for volunteers to attend the reception of the hostel, the terrace and eventually the care of the pool. Is a hostel with style and friendly people.
