Help at an animal rescue centre in Northern Peru.
Description: My name is Rosemary Gordon, the founder of Asociacion Humanitaria San Francisco De Asis, an animal rescue center running a veterinarian clinic. We treat all animals, but have a specialty in spaying and neutering cats and dogs as well as treating equines. We also run an educational program for children in schools, teaching them about animal care.
Our animals here in Northern Peru need a great deal of help. Only if: > You are genuinely passionate about animals; > looking for a fulfilling experience; > wishing to give of yourself; > wanting to leave your footprint by making this a better world for animals; > enjoy interacting and sharing hands-on experiences with our small group of dedicated people; Then this opportunity might be for you.
We are located in Colan, a beach town in Northern Peru. The association is 100m from the beach, from which beautiful sunsets can be seen.
We are looking for auto...

This is a small, nice backpacker's hostel in the historic city center of Cusco, Peru, just 5 minutes from the Plaza de Armas. Besides the hostel the owners, a young couple from Austria, run a juice bar - Let's Go Bananas-, which is a great meeting spot for travelers to chat, get to know each other and exchange travel information. The hostel is mainly frequented by Couchsurfers, since it is a very economic alternative to the big hostels in the city.
The helper would work in the juice bar and help preparing food, serving the customers and attending to the hostel guests. You would work 5 days per week for 6 hours a day, or 6 days per week for 5 hours a day. The tasks include preparing simple dishes (juices, crepes, breakfast, sandwiches,...), serving food, washing dishes, simple cleaning tasks, receiving payments for both the juice bar and the hostel, helping coordinating reservations and administrating the hostel, and other tasks as needed. In exchange we offer free accommodation...

We are a family with 3 children and we have a small farm close to the Amazon forest. We own 25 ha but cultivate only 6, the rest we are reforesting slowly the natural way, we try not to disturb this part to much so we have a lot of native animals running around.
We grow coffee, cacao and mango mainly. We have many indigenous plants (medicinal and food) that we let grow wild (we weed selectively) and are willing to share our knowledge with the volunteers. We have other crops for our own consumption like yucca, uncucha (root crop), banana, papaya, lemon, oranges, masasamba, ginger, pineapple, avocado, and corn for the animals. We use the wild crops for consumption but this depends on the season. In dry season the wild crops usually dry out and appear again the next rainy season.
We have some chicken, turkey, ducks and guinea pig for our own consumption too. Other animals are the dogs and cats (not for consumption ;-) )
In harvesting season, between February and June, we h...

Lovely B&B located in the beautiful Sacred Valley over looking Incan Ruins of Ollantaytambo. We are seeking the right person(s) (preferably a couple) to help us manage the hostel for 3+ months. You should have some form of hospitality experience. Hours are 6-8 per day, 5 days a week. Our place is small and friendly and we value quality connection with our guests. Duties include reception (being present) and management, essentially helping with the general duties of running the B and B. We have a person to manage cleaning, however if they are ever sick you may be called upon to help. If you have experience with marketing or other aspects of business management, this would be appreciated also. You will have your own spacious and comfortable room and breakfast everyday in return for your help. See our website link above for more information.
