We took our first steps in January 2012 acquiring a plot of 124 ac. which we named "Freedom"; a space that will be used as diagnostic observation center and wildlife rehabilitation area.

"Freedom" is located on the left bank of the Beni River between the Beni and La Paz Departments in the Bolivian Amazon. It is flanked by two important protected areas, the Madidi National Park and the Biosphere Reserve and Communal Lands “Pilón Lajas”, one of the areas with the greatest biodiversity of the planet. In addition, hosts territories of indigenous ethnic groups (mean, ese’ejja, chimane and moseten) that strive to maintain and safeguard their cultural roots.

At this early stage the contribution of volunteerism is focused on cleaning the areas that will house future buildings, conservation boundaries and trails, preparation of bio-vegetable garden, the orchard maintenance (one of the few of income sources) and operations and care needed to ensure the facilities continue to function pr... more inside

Mollesnejta - Research Institute of Conservation Practices in Andean Agriculture is a farm where we experiment with permaculture and agroforestry in the Andes to demonstrate alternatives to conventional agronomic production. We are producing without any agrochemicals, we do soil restoring (Terra Preta, Shipped wood) and water retention. In the last 16 years we have become almost a paradise producing fruits and vegetables, all in high-diversity-agroforestry systems. We want to show our results and we want to share our knowledge with interested people who are willing to help and even to create with us more things which demonstrate that a living in harmony with nature is possible (solar-oven, solar-warmth, solar-energy etc). The animals we have are checked for their suitability in agroforestry systems: dogs, cats, donkeys, lamas, geese, chicken).
In 2017 we have much dried wood from Pinus radiata, so we are looking for someone who is carpenter/joiner to build/make some furniture (noth... more inside

We're a Dutch migrated family, living on a piece of land on a hillslope, little bit outside of Tarija. Tarija, in southern Bolivia, has a nice climate, laid back people and know for it's wines. We have still quite a piece of land of no use that can be improved. Projects occur all the time, like water drainage, fencing, electricity installation and others. New ideas for improvement are welcome!

From July till September we are looking for a house sit. So if you have enough time to spend, contact us. Also electricians are welcome.

Currently, we have about 30 fruit trees, still small, amongst walnuts, lemon, apple and figs, that need to be taken care of constantly. We also have a small plastic greenhouse, 12 * 6 m2, where we are producing all kinds of vegetables and herbs.

Besides taking care of trees and greenhouse, all kind of varied jobs (mainly no skills required, but some jobs need muscles!) around the house can be done.

We need special skills for bee keeping and elect... more inside

Hi there, my name is Mika and I live in Samaipata in the Bolivian mountains near Santa Cruz de la Sierra. I am a well traveled German/Finnish motorcyclist, that has decided to live in Samaipata. I bought an older house and I have some land around it about five blocks from village center, and now I am in the process of building an entrance, a shed and renovating the house. If you want to come and help, you are more than welcome. You can stay in a seperate room with a shared bathroom. I have very often biker friends and couchsurfers staying for a few days, but I need somebody that would stay longer ( a minimum of three weeks) and help with things on the house and the garden for 5 hours a day. Feel free to contact me over this website. See you here mika

Update: Dont need anybody until October.

Our project's goal is to work together, constructing an alternative way of life, different from that of our current consumerist society. We strive to create a more harmonious relationship with our environment, working the land in an organic way, rearing animals as naturally as possible, recycling and reusing, looking for new modern and healthy technologies that we can adapt to the field.
To finance our project we host guests as a kind of rural tourism, tourists with who we share some of our activities. We also plan to implement an alternative education program for children.
To make real that dream we need people to help us to do it. People with knowledge about bio-construction, permaculture, renewable energies, organic agriculture, carpentry, and cooking. Also, we are just looking for people with similar wishes, who want to teach and to learn how to live in a more healthy and sustainable way.

We offer an independent room (single, twin or double). We also have a camping area nea... more inside

Important Notice: We will NOT receive volunteers from July to September 2017!!

Ours is a small property of around 2 has extension of arable land, at the moment the largest part is used for animal forages (mainly corn and alfalfa). In a smaller part, we are implementing organic vegetables, herbs and other crops. Three years ago we established a fruit orchard (apples and peaches), with regular success, especially regarding peaches, apples are fine. We hope this can be our main activity in the future. In a small greenhouse we plant mainly tomatoes and lettuce. In the past we also had an experimental quinoa plot (did not go well).
There are a lot of problems to solve, mainly insects and birds' attacks, too much sun and water shortage. We are working on solutions one by one (nets, barriers, shadow plants, water reservoirs).
All kind of help is welcome, although we need mostly people with some experience in growing organic products on a small scale, establishing irrigation systems ... more inside

it's a little house with a garden into the city of Tarija. Here I do some organic growing like basil and arugula, and also artisan food products (mostly my version of artisan italian liquour Limoncello and others like my version of pesto).

Volunteers must bring a tent, I offer room under the ceiling, and bathroom and kitchen (for volunteers to cook), I am not offering lunch or dinner but I offer bread and things for breakfast, the vestibles of the garden and only half work in the mornings doing all kind of work in the garden and the lab or artisan foodproducts, so they can take the afternoon to walk the city or visit the country. I'd ratter to receive one person, the more 2 because of my economy and I offer them to stay from 2 weeks to a month (this year is better for me to have long term volunteers).

We have a large organic garden combined with a new guest house and tourism service based in a Quechua speaking rural village about 35 km from Sucre, Bolivia. Our property is located in the village of Teja Huasi, in a fertile Andean river valley with a sub-tropical climate where you can enjoy local tropical fruits almost year round. Our business offers guided hikes, mountain bike rides, and cultural activities with local guides. Volunteers can also spend their free time relaxing by the pool or in hammocks enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding hillsides.
Our business strives to operate in an environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner. We are in the process of implementing community based water, sanitation, and hygiene projects and hope to use our garden to demonstrate sustainable, organic agricultural practices, while producing as much of our own food as possible.
