Ideally the volunteer would have some experience in this area. Once you have gained enough experience of the surrounding area, you may guide tourists around. We are looking for a person who can commit for at least one month to a year.

Some of the many perks for volunteering with us are the exceptional Bedouin cuisine, living among'st the Bedouin (this includes the desert camp as well as my house in the village), the chance to meet my mother, one of the few renaming Bedouin who live in the traditional style, as well as access to activities such as the camel and jeep tours, as well as g... more inside

What's Malakot?
That's how you imagine the kingdom of God

The Malakoot-governance is a divine exalted reality of the cosmos which is a representation of supreme authority. In magical moony Wadi Rum in the belly button of the Middle East we are building a place where people can be deeply connected to nature; where its boundaries, strengths, weaknesses and rhythms are clear and human beings can live in harmony with the ecological system of which they are a part. Bedouins formed such a bond with nature and blend with it. We combine Bedouin traditional values, know-how and experience with modern-day life. It's an experiment in living simply - uncluttered by most of the things we used to fill our lives with, leaving space for what really matters.

Malakot in Russian is a mix of words Milk and Cat.
So you have a chance to follow our goat flock and their Tatary shepherd in long walks to the mountains painted with Thamudic and Nabatean inscriptions, play with Me-e-essy, collect herb... more inside

Nov2015 - For the next stage of the NGOs development we have recognised the need for a longer term volunteer (1-3 months or more). Experience not necessary, the role would be to see through current strategic plans as well as to foster community interest. Private accommodation with bathroom and kitchen will be provided for the duration of the stay. Assistance with visa requirements can also be managed.

Hello,
We are looking for volunteers to help create a permaculture garden and sustainable living example at public places (like schools, religious buildings, community areas) near the Dead Sea. In the last year we have created an eco-home, with graywater system, permaculture garden and sustainable building. We have also begun growing our own food here. Right now, we are planning to reproduce our success on a larger scale, with support from the local community.

Here we are an international team, with locals and volunteers from around the world working together to create a bette... more inside
