We are looking for a pre-school teacher (kids are from 1 to 4 years old) who is willing to guide our kids for a period of time (ideally from April to November 2018, or for many years!!!, but we are open to alternatives). We wish for a passionate educator willing to journey with Love an dedication. We are very interested on Waldorf, Montessori and Reggio Emilia approach.

We are members of a village in Papua New Guinea looking to share skills and knowledge with people from other countries and cultures. We have not done anything like this before and would need to know some basic information before we decided to proceed. Please advise what would be required on our part, and what screening there is for volunteers.
We have registered as in Indonesia because there is no PNG option.

To start we would be looking to host visitors who understand the principles of organic gardening and who could help us to set up ours. We also want to build earthen ovens - have the materials and instructions but do not know enough about using earth in this way. In return, visitors would experience our way of life and be included in everyday activities. We are coastal people - farmers and fishermen.

Visitors would need to have an adventurous spirit and be able to live simply without TV or mod cons. We are about 100km from the nearest town. A trade store is about 6km aw... more inside

I run private English school for children aged between 10 and 19 years old in a small city in West Sumatra. My goal as the principal of the school is to provide youth from my region with the English skills required to communicate better in the modern world, and therefore provide them with better opportunities in their lives.

I would like to welcome any fluent English speakers under the age of thirty to come assist my teachers in the classroom. You would help immensely by having simple conversations with the students and give them a real English speaking experience inside or outside the classroom.

All the students are very welcoming and curious about my visitors and I am certain that you will have a great experience while interacting with them. You can expect answering all their curious questions, pose for pictures and be invited for lunches, snacks and dinners.

Classes in my school run from 2pm to 6pm and mostly consist of two lessons/classrooms per day. I would also like ... more inside

The Volunteer in Java Programme

The Volunteer In Java Programme was created in 2010 by a small group of English teachers who have been working for several years alongside Native Speakers. The reason that we created this programme is to help the local students and give them the opportunity to learn English with English speaking-people. Cianjur is a non-touristy place with few travellers, so meeting english-speaking people is particularly valued here.
In 2013, The Volunteer in Java Programme was recommended by The Lonely Planet Guide Book. The programme was founded by five locals; the team are enthusiastic and passionate about improving the local student’s English.
The team:
Irwan Kumis, who is fluent in English, has been teaching primary school English for 9 years, as well as working for several years as a guide for Western travellers. He previously worked for a German NGO, Forder-und Interessengemeinschaft, as a volunteer in post-Tsunami Reconstruction and Development on Sab... more inside

The Bukit Lawang Trust is looking for volunteers with educational experience to teach English and/or help us develop our new conservation education programme.

The Trust has been providing free English lessons to the local community from rural villages in this part of Northern Sumatra since 2011.

We also aim to develop a conservation education programme to provide the local community with knowledge about the importance and protection of the magnificent Gunung Leuser National Park which is on the doorstep of the education centre.
This park is one of the last remaining strongholds for some of Sumatra's critically endangered wildlife such as the Sumatran Orangutan and is under serious threat, predominantly from the palm oil industry.
We feel it is vitally important to develop a conservation education programme not only because the park is in a seriously vulnerable position but also because many of the local people depend on it for their livelihoods.
We need help from volu... more inside

Hello and welcome to - the first stages of a life betterment project in Bali for people with disabilities and their families. I am an Australian mother of a fifteen year old special needs young adult with Intellectual "impairment" and Autism-like renegade features which in total makes my not-so-little girl a unique force to be reckoned with.

With a huge affinity for music, rhythm, crazy dance and improv; squishing, peeling and tearing things...The aim of our existence is to create an environment where my daughter can have friends and be nurtured and encouraged to participate in activities that can help her develop skills she may need for the future in a social setting with other kids with disabilities and the general community.

We'd like to be able to expand our skills and share with others - local and international - and create quality experiences and lifestyle for families.

My passion is learning and building with bamboo, recycled materials (mainly plastic trash but als... more inside
