Welcome to our farm (which means wish/dream) in the Nagano Prefecture!

Currently we are a group of international volunteers, in the beginning stages towards becoming a sustainable farm. Through the farm we hope to create an international cultural hub to attract young people back to the beautiful countryside.

We are helping our neighbors keep our hillside an agriculturally productive area. More than 30 small fields that have been out-of-production for 5-20 years are now back in production.

But for now our current project are:

- Agriculture - growing summer vegetables, apples, persimmons, soybeans, buckwheat, rice, potatoes and other small garden varieties!

Of course everything is possible and you are welcome to add your own ideas to the project!!!

Hi, we are currently looking for hardworking friendly people to help during the 2013 farming season, from rice planting to harvesting with much in between. Come and join us!

More about what we do:
We grow rice, cherries, apples, peaches, corn and soy-beans on our farm here in Murayama-Shi in the middle of the very beautiful Yamagata Prefecture in the north part of Japan. Our orchards unfortunately are not organic, but we are researching ways to substitute natural sprays.
We also run a rice shop (in the family for about 6 generations) and deliver LP Gas and Heating oil to the local community, (You would not be expected to help with this side of the business though!) and I teach English too.
