Vrinda Kunja, in Vrindavan-Uttar pradesh (India) is an Eco-yoga village and it is also an Ashram that is part of a network of 67 eco-villages worldwide. It's not an organic farm but rather It's a spiritual ashram (temple) that has the joy and the intention of amplifying our mind´s and heart´s capacity.

Our ashram is more than 350 years old and was built by a queen from Manipur, a state in India above Bengal. We invite you to be part our volunteer team. The ashram was started by our spiritual guide, Swami Paramadvaiti, who has founded the network of eco-yoga ashrams worldwide, especially in South America. The residents at Vrinda Kunja are predominantly Spanish speaking people.

Volunteering of low cost:
- Help taking care of a small garden with some vegetables and plants growing.
-Cleaning abandoned areas of antique temples and making pretty gardens from it;

Started with a family in Baljeet Nagar, Delhi, with one classroom, providing lessons for children in the local community. This family project has blossomed into a multifaceted NGO that aims to increase the life opportunities of the poorest members for communities through out northern India.

We have different projects, with majority of them falling under four categories:-

TEACHING CHILDREN: WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT; COMMUNITY KITCHEN; VILLAGE EMPOWERMENT;CONSERVATION...etc. Volunteers can help out in any way they can. With children, this mostly means giving classes in English. For women's and village empowerment, if you have a special skill to share, such as jeweler making, or sewing, you can give classes to share this knowledge with the local people, ultimately providing underprivileged families with the means to future self-employment.

We currently have three offices: New Delhi, Shimla, and Himachal Pradesh. To start your volunteer experience, please come to one of these offic... more inside

I believe "One School open, means one prison close"

My Work :-

I have a small place where I have been trying to help with Indian underprivileged and disadvantaged street children for five years, I am trying my level best with 60 children at the moment. All of them are from the deprive family, who have been living in a huge part of slum in Delhi, where our school (open area without shed) is located. Place called Anand Parvat (West center of Delhi) near Patel Nagar.
I have my family & friends with me in support, I am very thankful to them for it, but even individually a person it is not that important for me to take help from someone until or unless I can do my own by god grace. I believe instead of donating money in temples or in religious doors, which is very common in India, better if I could help directly someone in need. Yes, sometime it makes me feel hard to walk alone, but when I think of my Sikh teacher's dedication & scarification for others, I get an energy which pus... more inside

I am an ad Film maker/Creative writer. Grew up in rural and urban natural lives. Making me experience and learn some things on different levels of cultures, society differences and Indian deeper roots. So looking at life in its best or worst way, with in its colorful shades.

Rural or Urban, the road of life has to pass through both. You can connect with one, but, cannot neglect the other. Both are dependent on eachother, and both are essential for eachothers identity. Both have their own form of energies. A less crowded or natural place, tranquil your soul or crowded streets rich in energy of people and rush, energies your Universe to rise above the ordinary. You can extract the equal amount of energy from both. Only if you are able to connect with them.

Let us choose things that can make us grow.

Let us share a soul shining its social, non - materialistic and non - judgmental attitude, in love with life, even if shattered by the surroundings or struggle in thoughts, exp... more inside
