We have a 35 Acre farm approximately 10 miles south of Oxford, MS. 3 adults, 2 young children, 60 goats, 1 guinea, 24chickens, 4 livestock guardian dogs, and 5 cats live on the property.
We raise gourmet garlic, vegetables, herbs, meat goats, and chickens. We need folks to help with our goats, dogs, large gardens, and harvesting and preserving veggies.
Our 2013 kidding is over. We had 30 kids born, 27 are still with us. We have two bottle babies. Our volunteers, Celia and Rosie, did a great job helping during that high stress time. Now we are working on making sure the mammas and kids stay healthy. We will be wethering the bucklings in next week and we will be selling does in a couple of months.
We are trying to put in our spring gardens but the weather and our work schedules are making it hard. The cold weather crops, potatoes, beets, carrots etc. will go in in the next week. We have greens and onions that have overwintered pretty well but we will be replanting...
