Very remote in the mountains of central Nevada. The ranch is off the grid and operates on hydro and solar.
The always present work projects are: fencing, wood cutting, cleaning, landscaping and working with the horses. You will have a good deal of say as to what we do and how long we do it. You won't be working for me, you will be working with me. I am appreciative of any help I get.
If you like animals and enjoy the outdoors, you will like it here.
Lodging is very comfortable and I can cook or you can. The menu we can decide on together, in advance if you like.
The nearest town is about 70 miles. So there isn't much of a social life. The few neighbors are great and colorful people.
I can pick you up in Las Vegas or Reno (both about 300 miles), if you are staying long enough to make it worth while. Otherwise you need to have your own vehicle.

We are a small hobby farm that grows hay and has a heard of beef cattle. We are located in the oasis of Nevada so there is an abundance of Green fields and farms in the area. We use flood irrigation to water which is quite a rare way to water crops. The house is spacious and visitors will most likely have their own room and bathroom. It is equipped with a pool and hot tub for some nice relaxing time. There is plenty of space for outdoor activities, a basketball hoop, bikes to ride, great walks, and a recreation facility near by with Tennis courts, soccer fields, Baseball Field, climbing wall, indoor pool, bowling alley, and many other activities. Fallon is a small town and has the friendly way about it. It has just about everything you need, but for anything above and beyond Reno is just an hour away.
We ask just 4 hours a day of help around the house. Tasks could include: Cooking, Cleaning, Feeding the cows, help in picking up hay (seasonal), farm maintenance, Pool cleaning, we...
