The farm is comprised of 20 acres with a large organic vegetable garden. About 10 acres are reserved for hay making to feed the dairy goats, llamas, horses and rabbits. Ducks and chickens also live on the farm.
The farm is involved with agritourism and offers classes on the farm. One house on the farm is used as a Bed & Breakfast and classroom. An ongoing project is working to save the endangered Butternut tree from extinction. The farm has about 50 butternut trees on it.

Looking for enthusiastic, young (at heart) people to help me make my homestead more sustainable. Property consists of 23 secluded acres of woods and fields bordered by a river, situated outside a small town in Appalachia. I have a large organic garden, honey bees, chickens, a horse and 4 cats. Accommodations are a private room in Civil War era farmhouse. I need help with everything related to running a small, non-commercial farm.
Learning opportunities abound for anyone interested in heating with wood, including maintaining wood stoves; maximizing food production; rainwater collection; animal care; basic building and maintenance; and fence installation.
I welcome anyone who would like to escape to the country, but still have access to amenities 5 miles away. I would expect a few hours of work a day, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the area. We live in the City of Cleveland, Ohio, a metropolitan region of about 2.2 million people. We are close to Lake Erie, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, great restaurants, arts and culture and professional sporting venues. For more information on the city, visit www.clevelandplus.com.
We are looking for help this summer and possibly into fall for exterior painting of a two-story house (scraped, primed and painted) and staining a fence. In exchange for 20 hours of work per week, we would provide a bedroom (shared bathroom), meals, and a friendly and comfortable stay. You would also have full access to our house and plenty of free time to visit and enjoy your stay. We host many international travelers and all of them have had a great experience with us. We have four small children (ages 10, 8, 6 and 4). Non-smokers only. We could accommodate vegetarians but would have difficulty accommodating vegans. Passport number, photo identification and references would be required.

Our farm is located along the beautiful Big Auglaize River. We grow vegetables three seasons, pick wild greens & herbal teas, milk goats, and teach a sustainable lifestyle which includes making bread (which includes fermenting fresh flour), wine, kefir, yogurt, cider, lactofermented vegetables, canning and more. There is a cottage in the garden for guests, meals are in the main house. We try to be good stewards of the land.

The mission of this place is to teach people how to be healthy through good nutrition, exercise, relationships, and a healthy lifestyle. We also provide healthy food for our customers and show them how to prepare it. We have a large garden and small CSA, we make maple syrup, we grow corn, soybeans, wheat, spelt and hay and we raise chickens for eggs, and grass-fed beef. We mill the wheat into flour and corn into cornmeal. We have a sawmill and make our own lumber. We have lots of events including maple sugaring open house, mushroom hunts, and fall festivals. We do other special events including hayrides, retreats, and weddings. We are currently building a cabin/barn at our lake using only lumber that we mill from our own trees. Greetings from Minerva! Situated in the rolling hills of northeastern Ohio, Minerva is a small village with brick streets and friendly folk. We recently moved to the area to become stewards of a secluded 18-acre farm complete with a pond, a wide and peaceful stream and woods just outside of town. We are spending this first year transforming the land from a monocrop to an organic biodynamic system, working toward organic certification over the next four years. We have hopes of shiitake mushroom cultivation and an orchard on our hillside in the coming months. Beehives are in production with of an acre in perennials and annuals to be distributed in a small CSA in North Canton, Ohio. Length of stay for interns is a 1 month minimum, 4 month maximum (negotiable). We have many a construction project to work on including a walk-in cooler, chicken coop and fencing. Dream travel opportunity for the right individuals:
Mature daughter with aged mother need all kinds of help. We travel year round to various resorts from coast to coast and can use an extra hand on the road and while staying at resorts (usually mountain, beach front, and all close to entertainment/recreation).
Most of the time you will have the guest bedroom in our suite with your own bath. You will have access to all resort amenities from pools, health spas, tennis, golf as well as lots of Orlando resorts and shopping malls.
We are looking for a non-smoker. No drugs, no criminal record. Please have current references.
