Would love to share one of the prettiest spots in the Pacific Northwest in exchange for helping me on diverse projects. My home is located above the Mission Creek valley on the north shore of Hood Canal, the only fjord in the lower 48 United States. I am adjacent to 23,000 acres of forestland that is open for recreation. The area has many state parks, boating, kayaking, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, hiking, winter sports and ORV opportunities. Seattle is 1.5 hours away, accessible both by car or public transportation including ferry. Tacoma and Olympia are an hour away. Pacific beaches and mountains are only 2 hours away. There is rural bus service, including dial-a ride in the area.

My home is in a town neighborhood. It is less than 2 miles from downtown Bellingham, WA and 1 mile from a shopping mall, 3 blocks from Cornwall Park and 1 block from a grocery store.

Hello! My name is Claudia (57), I am an empty-nester living in a 3 bedroom home located in a beautiful neighborhood within the city limits of Anacortes, WA which is located half way (1.5 hrs) between Seattle, WA and Vancouver, B.C.
Anacortes is on Fidalgo Island. It is surrounded by the north Puget Sound and San Juan Islands on three sides, and by the Swinomish Channel and the flats of Skagit Valley to the east. The weather is milder than other areas of the Pacific Northwest, because it lies within the Olympic Mountain rain shadow.
My house is near forest lands, trails,and lakes in the middle of Fidalgo Island. My 1/3 acre yard has large fir and cedar trees so I enjoy a lot of quiet privacy here. My backyard has been certified as a wildlife sanctuary by the state of Washington. You will see many critter visiting daily.

We're looking for short-term stay helpers (a few days to two weeks) who are open to doing varied tasks inside the house and out (some examples: ongoing weeding and garden maintenance, digging out blackberry bushes, washing windows, deep cleaning, digging and lifting for some building projects, painting, dog-walking, light housekeeping). We work outside rain or shine!
Non-smokers only.
We can accommodate up to two people at a time (partners or friends).
We ask for 24 hours of help for each seven day period you are with us:
--six days of 4-hour help and one day completely off
or
--fewer days of longer hours of help and several whole days off

5 acres with beach access on Lopez Island next to Shark Reef Sanctuary (a park where Sea Lions frolic with many small beach coves and amazing views). I am coming from Hawaii and getting to work on this mostly raw land. I envision putting in gardens (organic / permaculture) and orchards and improving places for myself and guests/helpers/wwoofers etc. to stay (as of this writing just an outhouse, outdoor shower, camper and camping spots), while leaving most of the land in it's natural state. Gardeners, treehouse builders, cobb / earth / pole / stick builders wanted. This is a beautiful area however we will be roughing it, staying in a camper or a tent until more stylie digs are created...

We live in a spacious 2 story, 2 bedroom townhouse bordering a large natural park in Bellingham. We are two blocks from a public beach on Lake Whatcom, and close to a bus line. It's about a 10 minute ride to downtown where one can transfer to Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College, the mall, or Fairhaven, an area of independently owned shops and restaurants and the Amtrak station and Alaska ferry terminal. About an hour and a half away, in opposite directions, are Mount Baker, Seattle, Vancouver and the San Juan Islands.
The accommodations here are a bedroom with a window looking out on the park and a bathroom that only needs to be shared with the cat. The bedroom is also our TV room and sewing room. There is a X-L twin bed and a twin sofa bed. It's pretty crowded for 2 but it can work.

We are a family of four in the city of Seattle, Washington. We are interested in hosting a person who could help with some Spring Cleaning. Our house gets lots of use from kids and friends and our dog. Current items on wish list are: wash walls, wash out cabinets, clean under the refrigerator, repaint walls (inside). Maybe some garden clean-up too. Just wishing to get our house looking fresh and ready for spring.
We have two school-aged kids. Mom and dad in our family have done a bit of travelling and we enjoy meeting people from other cultures - it is like taking a trip without leaving home! Our home is near a bus line - 30 minutes to the city center. Walking distance to library, shops and cafes.
