The chateau has been acquired to form the base for a small community focused on developing and supporting a range of new technologies. We are in early preparation stage at the moment, getting the site set up and ready, doing repairs and some new facilities. Oh yes, and we have a reputation for near-gourmet food, so you won't go hungry! In exchange for bed and board we are looking for people with any combination of the following skills: Carpenter or joiner, bricklayer, slate roofing, prototype engineer, electrician, plumbing, building conversion design, forestry, preparation of vegetable garden (from scratch!), biodome technology, aquaponics technology - or talented odd job person! Also someone who who would like to look after our wood-burning central heating furnace for the winter so as to free up our own time (normally fired up after lunch, then needs attention every few hours until bed time).
We are actually closer to London than to Paris!

Mixed farm of 60ha ( wheat, potatoes, vegetable,...) very friendly and peaceful place; with a pony, a goat, some chicken and 2 dog to welcome.I have a lake for fishing, with a lovely house on it to have a rest.
30 min from LILLE, and 5 min from the nearest city and from belgium, we are in the middle of the countryside. Some bicycle are available.
I need some people for some little building work, gardening, painting, house-keeping and sometime to drive the tractor.
Speaking french is higtly recomand.

Hello
We are now host but first we used to be helpers,we had about 10 experiences in Australia so we will understand your needs and we will try to do our best to make your stay comfortable
We are looking for anyone who speaks fluent English to help with ours and can help with some cleaning, cooking and painting.
we expect 3 hours worked a day.
A short stay will be preferable
We do not provide food but, laundry, wireless, tv and a friendly atmosphere
We are located 5 min on foot from the beach and NAUSICAA aquarium (shark, turtle, pingouin...) 5 min from the city and the old city 25 min to the english channel and a big mall.

The place :
We live in the countryside of Cassel, a middle age village. Neighbours are cows and birds... Our place is more a house than a farm for the moment but we plan to get chickens and goats soon. We started a vegetable garden and there is an orchard. There is a beautiful view as we are up the hill. We can pick you up in "CASSEL" train station, between Lille and Dunkerque.
About us :
Chloe is praticing healing and relaxation at home. She loves nature, goats, food, arts, good talks about life mysteries!
Julien is fond of music and shows, he is an artist playing the piano in "Les virtuoses", also plays the accordion and composes music. During the week he is doing communication for a Second World War museum, La Coupole.
The Deal!
We need fit and enthousiastic people to help us with outside or inside work : gardening, renovation project in the house, building a separate little house for relaxation work... You will work 4 hours a day, and have lot of free time to visi...

The house is big. We need people to stay on a regular basis and to do routine maintenance work.
