I am a woman 58 years old, young in my mind and working on a small farm without pesticide, 1 hectare of vinyard for making wine , more 4 hectares of land; I have several animals - a couple of donkeys, 5 sheep and a chicken run. I have a organic vegetable garden.
My objective is to develop a natural environment to survive,to respect the nature and to limit the pollution;else, to have good food and life!
Everybody simple, consciencious and creative, who is interested in learning an other way of life, in contact with nature, is welcome to give me hand in exchange of good bed and food, also learning a lot and naturally french language.
Animals are very happy there!!! so you can be as well!!!musicians are welcome; there is plenty instruments there!

We are a friendly English family living in the Mayenne area in France and would like help in June/July for two weeks when the gites are free finishing off a wooden stable for our horse, fencing, plus also making a Summer house in the garden and helping with some weeding in the garden. Also from September onwards it would be lovely if we could have some help as we are renovating a house for us to live in and could do with some help from anyone who has building experience to make two large fireplaces, do some plumbing or help with the rewiring please. In return you would have the use of an en-suite showerroom, there is a bike you can borrow and all your meals would be provided with the family. All food is homecooked from scratch.

Hi there!
We have a fairy-tale castle set in the Saumur area in the beautiful Loire region. The chateau is entirely renovated and serves as a 4-star hotel with restaurant for our guests.
We are looking for couples or individuals who want to help with a variety of duties, including maintenance works in the chateaus 11-hectare park,or other duties. We offer nice accommodation in an outbuilding on the estate. In your apartment, you will have free wireless internet access.
As we have a 4-star hotel, we a looking for decent people. You will be helping 6 hours a day, in exchange for free accommodation and food. The weekends allow for plenty of free time to explore the area.

We are trying to finish renovating a cottage and garden to create a safe haven and calm retreat for our high-functioning autistic son and my wife who has a long-term chronic illness.
A really big ask from skilled volunteers please....
Our largest project which we would love help with giving our autistic son his own bedroom/space.
Converting a just over 2m x 2m dry store room - stone wall room with joist above, loft area and fully roofed and dry, window and door already in place, electricity to the room and old garage style light on ceiling beam - floor needs concrete screding, leveling and tiling. Whole area needs insulating, plaster boarding and plastering except one feature stone wall, An electric heater on the wall and lighting/ sockets safely placed Design and make a Cabin bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, built in to fit this tiny room to be a calm space to call his own.

Help needed with vegetable garden and with especially the keeping the grass down, as it has all gone mad this spring after such a wet year. Also poplars have been felled so help needed with clearing up and cutting remaining branches. In fact a lot of help needed in all aspects of general maintenance, so if you have time on your hands and wish to do something different, come and experience French country life in a beautiful region full of history, wildlife and normally great weather!!
I run an organic, vegetarian, small holding with facilities for B & B and host guests mainly in the summer from overnight stays to longer, vegetarian evening meals are also supplied.
The two goats and Poppy the donkey help to keep the grass and scrub down and also supply the large organic garden with it's manure. The free range chickens, ducks and geese supply the eggs.

Hello, we are looking for 1 or 2 helpers for this spring time and summer and definitely 2 people for August. We are ready now for someone to help us and enjoy time at our Manoir House. We would like assistance with cleaning up the garden for spring and summer, cutting and trimming of trees, planting of small trees and rebuilding of a 700 yr old stone wall, in the Roman style. All of this work I do with your assistance. Further duties would be simple window washing, and painting garden furniture. We are chefs from New York City so we offer good Food and comfortable accomodation. This helper or helperS must be very neat and punctual for work. We work Monday through Friday, Sat & Sun off and we work 6 hours each of the 5 days.We have 6 cats and one dog, and bicycles for exploring the area. Our family home is in need of help for a couple of weeks or longer,with various tasks for a person or couple, who would like to join us. We speak French and English. This has been an on going project to keep this lovely spacious family property in good state of repair, we do a lot ourselves and an extra pair of hands or two would be appreciated, we garden, paint, so if you enjoy manuel work, this could be fun for you too!!. Help that is needed is gardening,woodland clearing, preparations to painting, general maintenance to properties. This is a rather big place, with different activities.
The house is very big. There's many animals: dogs, chicken, a few goats, many horses (30). There's also a very big vege garden.
At this place is a goat cheesery (my business). You're not supposed to help there.
Help is needed with the animals, the house and the garden: feed the chicken, close the chicken house at night, collect eggs, give hay and water to the horses.
In the house some cleaning is always welcome, as help for cooking.
The garden is huge! If you know something about gardening, that will be appreciated. At some time of the year, there's plenty to do in the garden.
There's always little things to fix all around the farm.
Independent people who don't mind having time on their own, will feel very well here.
I'm often on the road because of my job (delivery ...), so you may be alone sometimes.
It's possible to pick you up in Paris (cheese delivery days), in La Fleche or Angers.

We are a french family with 4 children 3, 11, 13 and 15 years old.
We've got many animals: Horses(3), lamas(2), goats(2), pigeons, chickens, cats, turtles and large Salamander's keeping facilities.
There's a big organic vegetable garden. People who enjoy working in the garden and have some knowledges are very welcome.
We renovate with natural material our XVth century house when Arnaud can find some time. It's not the principal job here.
The house is in the open country, very close to a 1000 hectares oak forest, with plenty of footpaths. If you like to ride bicycle, you can have nice trips in the forest and you can visit the villages close to here.
Your room will be in the small house (photos 2 and 3), the bathroom is in the principal house.
We need help especially for the little boy, feeding animals, cooking, gardening and sometimes renovate. It depends of if Arnaud is at home or not.

Are you interested from the middle of july to the middle of august, or more... ?
You'll work only the afternoon and you'll be free the morning. You'll have a "tourist pass" to visit every touristic site in the city (zoo, roses garden, museum...)
En fait nous cherchons deux helpers, pour juillet et pour Août.
Il y a la possibilité d'arriver en juin, ou de repartir en septembre.
Vous pouvez venir un mois, ou deux mois, mais je pense que le minimum est 3 semaines, car pour être guide il faut 3 ou 4 jours pour apprendre la visite.
Il y a 2 emplois pour les helpers : guide pour les touristes en anglais
et l'accueil de tous les visiteurs, la vente des tickets d'entrée.
Cette année, nous souhaitons que vous puissiez inter-changer, pour ne pas toujours faire la même chose. Et aussi parce que les helpers qui font la visite gagnent de l'argent avec les pour-boire et pas ceux qui font les entrées.
Il faut donc parler un peu français et un peu anglais.
