We are a easy going couple in our thirties who have a 16 acre farm that we brought nearly four years ago. As we now have a 2 year old gorgeous wee girl and my partner works long hours we could really do with some help on the farm to continue building our dream.
A friend of ours also lives here in his shack and is currently building a tiny house for himself on the property. We also have a couple of caravans and a cabin onsite.
We started on our property with only a caravan and a bare block. We now have built a shack around our caravan and have some other infrastructure in place like large chook coups, gardens, compost toilet and compost bins, dirt bike track, woodshed, yards and more.
We all follow similar ideas for the farm trying to maintain a chemical, spray free paradise for us, our child and family.
We would one day like to be in a position to supply all our friends and family with spray free produce and organic meat etc to make sure everyone has health and well bein... more inside

We are taking on helpers all year and at the moment we are looking for people that are able to sell our produce at our road side shop. All the helpers are staying in a separate two-bedroom cottage which has a heat pump and is only 30m from our house so our door is always open for a chat and or advice. We try to give couples their own room and the single helpers will be sharing the other room. We are looking for helpers that can stay TWO WEEKS or more with us.
The helpers are asked to help four hours for every night they are staying with us. Some of our helpers will have the opportunity to come with us on Saturdays to the markets and help us sell our produce and for this you will get a day off during the week.

We live on a 4ha orchard on which we are growing plums, strawberries, garlic, feijoas and also vegetables for the local market. So the work our helpers are doing is mainly weeding, picking and pruning.

We are working mainly outside, sometimes it's wet and it is imp... more inside

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens.

We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property.

We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season.Maybe even pottery sometimes.
In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.†

We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go... more inside

We are a busy family of 5 with an additional 2 people also living in a self contained flat - Nana and Poppa.
3 children aged between 7 - 13 a small dog and a boat.

We are hoping that in exchange for a place to stay and sharing dinner with us that you will help out with gardening work around the property. Stays can be from 1-2 nights up to a few weeks depending on visitors requests. Gardening work would involve pruning flax and weeding gardens, trimming small trees and hedges. This isn't difficult work and most capable people could perform these tasks.

We love going to the beach and doing all the fun beach things like diving swimming and fishing in summer months weather permitting.
