Hi there,
We are a young family of 4, including a boy age 4 and a 4 months old baby girl. We love outdoors activities and like to travel a lot.
Areas of help could be anything from helping with gardening, sometimes to organise the mess (specially the kids one) and sometimes help with the kids.
You will need to have experience working with little children and be happy and willing to get involved with them.

The duties are very easy and flexible
We ideally (but not necessary) someone that can drive and holds a driving license. Also, we would like female helpers only.

We live in Hamilton at only 10 minutes driving from the city central, 50 minutes from Hobbiton, and 1.5 hours from Rotorua & Tauranga and 1.5 hours to Auckland international/ domestic airport. With only 20 minutes walk we are close to couple of shopping areas.

We provide a pleasant private room with bathroom and separate toilet, food and Access to wifi.

We love meeting new people from all kind of walks... more inside

We love living in Raglan and are sure you will love to stay here too. World class surf, amazing bush and beach walks and a cute wee town with world class coffee.

We are looking for a couple who can help us with a range of things from gardening, landscaping construction works, cleaning and babysitting. We have a spacious Bedroom off our Garage with separate outdoor entrance and an ensuite for you to stay in. The surf breaks are a short drive away so your own car would be beneficial for making the most of what Raglan has to offer, although not essential. We offer meals and accommodation in exchange for 4 hours of work per day and our helpers are invited to stay for up to three days unless we have a larger project on the go.

We are a busy family of 6 with a recently completed house build and big dreams for a beautiful garden and are in need of some help.
Our house suits early risers who don't mind a dawn chorus of beautiful bird song and rowdy children.
We also run an enginee... more inside

Couples or Females only please (sorry boys! But my partner often travels for work, so I'm home alone).

My German partner and I (a kiwi) would love to share our beautiful 1905 home, (NZ classic architecture of this time), with some willing helpers.

We are a couple in our 40s with no children and enjoy socialising. So far our guests have loved coming and staying here.

There's a little but not too much to see and do around Hamilton - Therefore we recommend a say of a week or two at most, dependent on how much time you have in NZ.

We try and have a healthily lifestyle, we have free range chicken, geese, vegi gardens, fruit.

We don't have any children at home but we do have a beautiful pet peacock for entertainment. Sorry but the horses in the photo aren't here any more. We now have two steers, sheep, lambs and birds.

Our spare room has 1 double bed, it's a very beautiful room and is next to the family bathroom. We have an additional room with two bunk beds... more inside

There are three positions available:

Cafe all-rounder at our unique cafe.

For this position you will have to be available for the next 3 months as we will pay for any hours over 25 being done. 5 of those hours will be done in and around our house, including cleaning and general house work.

We are going into summer season and need someone that can board with us and work at the cafe. The 25 hrs will be for board and all the things that we do for our lovely helpxers (taking then with us to see, do experience NZ.)

We'd like a cafe all-rounder in our lovely little Hobbit themed cafe where we also have costume dress-up for our customers.

Someone with previous experience would be great but if you have only a little experience it will be fine as for a 6 month period, we will be happy to train you. We'll even assist you with a Gluten Management training course. (It's pretty important to us.)
Join us and have lots of fun in this quickly growing cafe.

As you will be... more inside

Land and lifescaping projects, we offer alternative methods of living and want more mature (25yrs old and up) people. Currently we need help in getting our underground greenhouse finished (minor carpentry/joinery) and few other jobs around the place, building chicken coup and finishing few other small ideas off.

Eco friendly and surfing breaks are a must. Have WIFI, hot water, a roof, and dog and cat :)

You will need your own transport. We are about 15 mins from Raglan, 20 mins from Ruapuki breaks and 10 mins from Bridal Vale falls.
We are new age hippies; a local kiwi and a Polish import :)

We live on a 20 arce lifestyle property in rural North Waikato. It is a small but busy property. My partner & I have 3 children, 1 girl aged 13 & 2 boys aged 11 & 9. We raise beef cattle & have a number of ponies. In the summer we make hay ourselves on the property. I also run a business from home which I produce & sell chutneys, jams & sauces. I work away from home locally 1-2 days a week (usually during school hours). My daughter & I ride horses & ponies & the boys ride motorbikes. I give riding lessons and we have an arena & also access to large areas of farmland for riding over. We often travel to competitions. You will have the opportunity to be involved in our family activities & watch the children's sports. At times I need help with housework & childcare, sometimes cooking if you like to. There is also work outside on the property and work helping look after the animals. You will also get to meet other local families & their children & some of them also host help... more inside

We live on a small lifestyle block in a historic converted old creamery, 10 minutes from Matamata and central to Hamilton and Tauranga.
We are 25 minutes from Hobbiton, and 45 minutes from Rotorua and Mount Maunganui. We are also close to many biking and tramping tracks and some hot mineral pools.
We would like to share our home with travellers in exchange for help around our place. We would prefer couples or two friends even though one person is ok too. Wireless internet is available.
We would prefer shorter stays of about one week, but this is negotiable.

My husband and I work outside of the home; I am a Naturopath/Herbalist and Martin is into IT. Our children are at University, and we have a cat, dog and chickens. We have a big organic garden and grow vegetables, fruit and flowers.
Some of things that we need help with would be, gardening, mowing lawns, housekeeping, painting, planting trees and forming paths at the beach, and cooking, preserving if you are that way incli... more inside

HORSE RIDING, DOGS, CATS, AND OTHER FARMING FUN

My name is Erana and with my partner Ted and our 2 boys Camden aged 15 and Kade aged 12 we run a small horse farm.

We breeds both race horses and dressage horses and train and race horses. We are keen to have helpers that are experienced horse people to help with the horses or for less experienced horse people to help muck out stables, gardening, farm maintenance etc.
For safety reasons the people staying must speak reasonable English to understand safety instructions.

We offer nice room with queen size bed with own bathroom and food in return for approx 5 hours a day labour. Prefer people who want to stay for 2 weeks or longer and with skills and experience with horses.

Hi, we are a family of four, living on 3/4 acre with lots of native trees and garden to care for. We are looking for help with developing new landscaping in our property, and to look after our native trees. This means moving big piles of dirt, clearing weeds, moving landscaping material and pavers, and things like that. Pretty hard work! If you think you might be interested in this kind of work, and hanging out with us, please contact us. We are looking for help from 9th-12th December and 16th-19th December. We are flexible with these dates as well. So we look forward to hearing from you :)

You would have your own room, and we would love to invite you to share meals with us, and to just hang out.

Jules is a surfer, and I (Amanda) am an artist, our children are high school age, and we have two fat cats, and two chickens.

Thanks, and look forward to hearing from you.
