Hi I'm Khadisha and have enjoyed having Helpx stay for the last 7 yrs.
I have jobs I'd like done before winter is here, out in the garden as well as to outside of house (roof & guttering to be cleaned, walls and windows to be washed). If it is raining there are inside jobs to be done.I have a bad back at present so would be great if you can help.
I usually only have Helpx workers for 1 week and generally they do 4hrs in the morning so you can have the afternoon off to explore the region but if you want to do more and have a whole day off, I'm flexible.
The house is about a 10 min walk from main shopping area and about 5 mins from Victoria lake and and the Whanganui river is close by. There are a number of tramps in the area and the beach not too far away.
I live with Sambucca [a cat] and Maxwell [a dog] so animal lovers are important.
No smokers please and let me know if you have any special diet requirements. No Problems if your english is limited, that's OK.
If you change... more inside

We are a young couple on a lifestyle block 10 mins drive from Wanganui. We have a lovely 4 bedroom house, 3 children (all at school) and a small block of land. We have been here for 2 years and are slowly working our way through the huge list of never ending jobs (mainly outside jobs)
In winter we hand rear calves (around 120) so we keep busy with that.
We are into all things outdoors, such as hunting and spending time outside.
we are very relaxed and easy going, and have a lovely happy house. I am a great cook/baker and promise you will be fed well!
We have many animals here and pets as well. Fraser is a police Dog handler and we have a lovely German Shepard Dog at home with us, along with 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 pigs and the farm animals.
How many animals we have here depends on the time of year (winter is our busier time)

Jobs that you would be doing would include General gardening and outside maintenance. helping with feeding animals, some cleaning possibly, ... more inside

We are permaculture teachers looking for childcare help about 20 hours a week while I am doing my student teacher placement. For the right person there is also opportunity for paid work in our forest kindergarten program or to earn their Permaculture Design Certificate.

We have 2 children, ages 2.5 and 5 and live on a beautiful 14 acre farm. The job would be a live-in position with specified hours of care (mainly before and after school). About 4 hours per day/ 5 days per week in exchange for room and board.

We run permaculture courses and a forest kindergarten, and there will be 2-4 other interns living on site earning their permaculture design certificate while you are with us. We live 4km from Whanganui and have bikes available for use. We eat vegetarian/ homekill meat. Other interns will be working on the farm, and while there is opportunity for you to be involved on the farm, I need someone who is specifically interested in helping with child care.

for a private room, breakfast and dinner, and free WIFI.
A private room which sleeps up to two. you are expected to help with the up dishes/cleaning up after meals.

We have a large general accommodation business for up to 60 guests. It has now been operating for four years. While it is only a 15 minute walk to the centre of the city, with our spacious grounds there is a distinct feeling of being in the country.

Helpers have their own room and free internet. Food is provided or you can prepare your own if you prefer. Any helpers with special diets must prepare their own meals. Helpers are encouraged to become part of the family and help with cooking etc.

Our facilities include a games room with a pool table, indoor bowls and table tennis. There is a barbeque available.

We enjoy meeting helpers from anywhere in the world and in any age group.

We need helpers for several tasks:

We have a lot of help needed for the grounds and gardens. Anybody who is handy with a paintbrush or tools would also be welcome as we are always looking to improve our facility.

We live in a quaint 3 bedroom house in the town of a rural area named Hunterville (50 mins north of Palmerston North and 50 south of Whanganui)!! Very central for visiting many of the middle/lower north island tourist attractions; just over an hour to Mt Ruapehu, 2 hours to Taupo, 3 hours to Rotorua, 2 hours to Wellington, 3 hours to New Plymouth.

We have 3 acres, on which we have many pets; sheep, goat, miniature pony, chicken, cat and dog. We also have 3 horses which live just down the road from us. We are a small family, for now, just myself, my partner and our cute son Elliot, who is 18 months old! I am also pregnant again, due in November.

I am a teacher at the local school and my partner is a shepherd on a nearby farm. I have a lovely friend who looks after Elliot at our place during the week. We are friendly, easy going people who love to share our home with guests.

Hunterville is a friendly and bustling community, with lots of opportunity for social interaction, esp... more inside
