I have a charming, sunny, comfortable home with a lovely garden and a view over the harbour and mountains. It is very central, well connected to transport, with big parks and green belt very close.
In return for two hours work in the house and garden per day, I will provide free accommodation and breakfast. I speak fluent Spanish and can help with someone learning English.
I have a sociable lifestyle with many friends, and helpers are welcome to join in on some dinners. But I do need Helpxers who are independent too, since there will be times when I am very busy and not around much. If you're good at cleaning, gardening and doing small repairs around the house, that would be great. And I love good food, so good cooks are always welcome!

I live in a lovely peaceful house, 25Kms north of Wellington, with a super fluffy cat. We have beach at the bottom of the hill, local shops, some nice walking and buses/train provide access to wellington or up the kapiti coast. I'm slowly (very slowly) creating a forest / urban garden in my wild backyard.

I'm excited about global citizens and permaculture and lazy gardening and building with found materials. Nourishing the body and designing a living space that meets needs.

Really needing help watering with collected water - hello drought!
Have a huge pile of woodchip/mulch to be spread around trees and gardens areas wanting planted /planned/weeded.
Creating compost space, pathways, water collection/direction systems and building fences from pallets are high on the to do list.
Some indoor painting (trim/ceiling) if you're that way inclined.. and always space for a bit of art!

Also feeding the cat. Making kombucha and sauerkraut, broth, sourdough.

If you're pretty se... more inside

Only available from early Jan 2018. We have lots of work to do outside (gardens, lawns, gather firewood, etc) so if you have experience and enjoy the outdoors, then we need you :-). As well, we have many inside house tasks (painting), general cleaning and cooking for those who love to cook.

Our lifestyle property is approx 30minutes (~30km) from Wellington City near Pauatahanui/Judgeford. The hill-side property is mostly trees and bush with some grass paddocks. Our large house has wonderful gardens and large surrounds. We have a large solar heated pool, hot-spa, teens coming & going, 2 cats, lots of native birds, some beehives and chickens.

We enjoy good food, nice wine and good company. We really do prefer non-smokers.

The property is in a beautiful rural location, so having your own car/van is ideal (but happy to help with transport if needed). Nearest train station is approx 15mins drive away. The house has WiFi broadband.

We do welcome singles or couples and we hav... more inside

Hi, we live in Wellington in two old, turn of the century, historic cottages (1860's) that are 200 paces above the street, private, set in the bush amongst the song of tui and kaka. It is an easy 20 minute walk into the central city.

Note: we are not a farm.

We are self-employed, busy and very hands on in all that we do. We are a couple with two adult daughters, one has recently returned home to live with us.
We provide all your food and accommodation, in exchange for about 8 hours help on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and 4 hours on Thursday. This gives you a 3 day weekend to explore and relax. (The hours can vary depending on whether we are in a middle of a job that must get finished - for example - building a roof before it rains). The accommodation is rough at the moment as we are in the middle of renovating these old cottages... if you don't expect a palace you will be fine.

We need your skills in one of these areas:
1. Building and restoring the three cottages. ... more inside

We are a boutique hostel located 15 minutes walk from the Wellington CBD. We are looking for an enthusiastic & motivated person to help us with cleaning in the morning. The job mainly consists of cleaning the bathrooms, mopping & vacuuming the rooms and common areas. It usually takes around 2.5 hours in the morning and starts at 9.00am. You will then have plenty of free time to relax or explore the beautiful city of Welly. We also have squash & tennis courts next door that you are welcome to use for free.

In exchange of your help, we will provide a bed in one of our quiet & spacious 4-bed dorm rooms, free highspeed internet, breakfast & laundry. Our hostel is known for its great atmosphere and welcome short and long term travellers from around the world.

We are looking for someone to start around the 15th of December for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have a lot planned for the upcoming Christmas/New Year season and would be really fun to be here! If you are interested, please send ... more inside

From the end of December and through January I am likely to be fostering kittens which means my spare room will be full. If you would like to help care for the kittens and don't mind sleeping on a couch in the lounge you can still contact me. I could only have one person though.

Hi. I have a small cottage in Petone, old but quite comfortable. Petone is a pretty seaside village quite close to Wellington city that is known for its cafes. It also has a small movie theatre, library, summer swimming pool and quite a few little specialty shops. It is close to the river too. I live 10 minutes walk from the beach. It is nice to walk along by the beach but mostly the water is too cold to swim in. I am close to public transport - five minutes to the train and 5 minutes to the local bus stop. It takes 15 minutes by train to get to Wellington and 30 minutes by bus. During the day the buses and trains go every 30 minutes. I am also quite close to the airport bus stop - 10 minutes walk. but it... more inside

Hi

NO AVAILABILITY AT THE MOMENT

We live in a sunny, private home in the lovely suburb Northland. You could walk to the botanic garden in 5 minutes or to the city center in 30 minutes or you could take the bus - the bus station is just 1 minute away.

In return for accomodation, breakfast and dinner we expect 3-4 hours work/day for housework and babysitting/childcare.
We are a German family with two children (1 + 4 years). Because of the childcare non smokers only please.
