This is a small business with four guest rooms, a restaurant, a bar and a shop. Set in an idyllic location that can only be accessed by boat, the Lodge has been taken over by new owners. One a Kiwi and one a Scot.

In return for a few hours help a day you will have the time and freedom to kayak, swim or walk. The things we need help with vary and depends a lot on what you are interested in. There is kitchen/restaurant and housekeeping work.

We provide meals, bed, unlimited wifi, TV if needed and lots of fun. There is good mobile phone coverage.

We are now open and are in need of help with kitchen housekeeping and waitressing. We are looking for helpers from now until July 2018. We need a female with housekeeping experience. We can only take one person as we already have helpers.
Please do get in touch if at all interested joining us in our little part of paradise. thanks. Anne

We are a couple in our 60's living on a beautiful rural property just north of Blenheim. We have a small engineering business here plus a vineyard planted in Pinot Gris which we maintain ourselves and this is rather labour intensive from October to February. We have a few sheep, some hens and two cats. We try to be self sufficient as much as possible so have many fruit trees, and large vegetable gardens. Our house is modern and includes two spare rooms complete with a spare bathroom.
Helping here would be a pleasant experience because you would be fed well and treated kindly. Jobs are many and varied, depending on the time of year. Mostly, however it would be helping in the vineyard, or keeping the vege garden and section tidy. I have recently started propagating plants to sell so that also provides things to do.As my husband is the engineer and I am the "land girl" helping would not involve anything that I wouldn't normally do myself !! Hours would be approx 5 a day.Demand is seaso... more inside

*** Helpers needed from mid Feb here to help out for minimum 2 weeks. Thanks ***

Hi there! We have a small modern lodge 70 metres from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment.

Our lodge regularly hosts young volunteers (wwoofers/helpers) from our international visitors. You are treated like a member of our family, you live within our private household, share your background and experience our daily life in New Zealand.

As with family members, there are no formal contracts or payment, your input is fully voluntary and you are free to depart at any time. Volunteers normally help out for 3-4 hrs per day with the afternoons/evenings free to relax.

Tasks are typically gardening, cleaning, laundry, helping with meals (vegetarians welcome, but sorry we are not vegetarian!) and generally assisting around the lodge with misc tasks that suit your talents.

You will get involv... more inside

We have a high country sheep and beef station running 5500 merino sheep and 400 fattening cattle and some irrigation of crops around the homestead.
We are all ways looking for someone to join our friendly family environment and help out with general farm work, help around the house, family, gardens and exercising horses etc.
Helpers must be practical and outdoors type and it would be an advantage to have their own transportation as we are 60km out of Blenheim but not essential.
4 hours help for food and accommodation.

Throughout the year we need HelpXers for pruning, weeding, mowing, vegetable seeding and other maintenance. Peferably a couple or 2 friends in their mid 20's.

The weather is unusual this year with hot days but slightly cooler nights. On the east coast there is always lots of sun. The view is stunning.
We are in a great position- 1 hour from Picton and the Marlborough sounds, 1 1/2 hrs from Nelson and 1 hr to Nelson Lakes, but unfortunately after the earthquake we are 6 hours from Christchurch and Kaikoura. Hopefully SH1 will reopen by the end of 2017

We have 410 Olive trees in 2 groves and 150 hazelnut trees.
We host the Molesworth Tours once or twice a month for lunch and a tour around the grove. In return for good food and a comfortable room, we would love some gardening, harvesting, and general farm maintenance work to be done, hours would be flexible.
In March we harvest the nuts and in May/June/July we harvest the olives. In between times there is irrigation in the ... more inside

Thank you for considering a Homewood experience! We enjoy our Helpers, and they tell us that they enjoy Homewood. Here, you can enjoy independent accommodation in a self-contained bunkhouse (similar to an apartment), with all the conveniences, allowing privacy and comfort.

We're in a remote location accessible only by boat. We are happy to assist with transportation from Havelock, Marlborough. There's seafood for you to gather or catch, and hills, forest, trails, and beach to explore. You can use the dinghy and kayaks to explore or fish.

We're entirely off-grid: solar power, etc.

Help wanted: In exchange for accommodation, meat, and some groceries, 22 hours/week yard work, building maintenance, housekeeping. Must be able to lift 20 kg. No smoking. No drugs, no way, no how. We hope you like to laugh a lot!
