Hello!

I am in the middle stages of multiple sclerosis. I just need help taking care of the garden and keeping the house tidy in exchange for accommodation and food. You will have your own room (depending on how many other people will be here), running water, a hot shower, warm living room, and fresh veggies to cook with. My property is located in the beautiful Springs Junction with lots of tracks to walk through around, and it's very easy to hitch out if needed because it is close to the main highway.

I have a car but am unable to drive it now, so it would be good if you had a valid drivers license or some sort of car.I cannot pick you up from Springs Junction and it is a 15 km walk to get here, very isolated. So a car is vital to get here:-)

We are located 40 minutes south of Hokitika and 1.5 hours north of Franz Josef, on a very small dairy farm. We can arrange transport.
We have 11 year old dog, a 18 month old one, two cats and lots of poultry. There is a small pottery (domestic stoneware ceramics) room and kiln.
Our accommodation is a small cosy private sleep out with one bed and wifi.
We prefer a SINGLE over 25 year old person, who has same practical skills. Male or Female. Gardener, chainsaw, tractor driving, quad and trailer, building, landscaper, construction, stonemason, arborist. We always have a big variety of jobs. Fence clearing and firewood is the big task at the moment. Or window cleaning, potting up plants or painting.
Helpers are not needed to milk the cows but we are happy to show them how.
There is always garden and landscape work to do.
Mostly outside physical jobs, some need a creative mind. We save the inside jobs for very wet days.
A person with an independent attitude and a good sense of h... more inside

My partner and I live on a beautiful 40 hectare property (most of which is native forest) which needs ongoing maintenance including maintaining tracks, and splitting and stacking firewood. We have sheep, and occasionally need help with them.
Our preference is someone who has lived in the countryside, is strong, and capable with a chainsaw. An international drivers licence would be a bonus. We like people who work hard, and are capable of doing so without supervision!

We do not usually need help with housework. Also our children are grown up, and not living at home

In return for 4 hours work for every night you stay, we look after you well! Our food is good wholesome farm cooking. (Unfortunately we do not cater for vegetarian/vegan diets)

Please note we do not offer a single overnight stay. We want a person(s) who will stay for a minimum of 3 days

Because our climate here on the west coast can be wet, be prepared to work in the rain sometimes, although we try to ... more inside

I am a semi retired gentleman in my late fifties, I live on the edge of town next to the Buller river and close to the ocean. I have a large house with a large garden, hothouse and orchard. I am into organics and permaculture.
you can fish the river and the ocean, whitebaiting in the season.
I would like to host mature people, must have tidy habits, in return for light gardening.
I am also doing light building work, manufacturing hen houses, outdoor furniture, and carving.
There is plenty to do and see in the area.Tramping and surfing, there is a surfing school here.

I am looking for people to help out in the garden over the winter months,as it is a bit neglected at the moment. and have a comfortable twin single room available in the house, from the 25th of April for about two weeks.

Hello HelpXers!
We operate a small (18 bed) backpackers hostel in Murchison (Tasman district).

We are looking for someone to help manage & maintain the hostel. Work will involve cleaning duties in the morning, with some reception work/meeting and greeting of guests during the evening.

Itís autumn now, and relatively quiet. A great time to enjoy the scenery, go for a walk or bike ride and then snuggle down in front of a wood fire.

Please get in touch if youíre interested and we can have a chat.

Many thanks,
Ali & Phil
