We are a well travelled family used to International visitors. We have a beautiful sheep and beef farm which we work full time. We have flat, rolling .and hilly country with mountain and sea views. We farm two properties and there is always plenty to do! We also have several quality horses used for smaller competitions and hunting. For a keen person there will be many opportunities to ride, if they are up to it. There is not time to teach people to ride as we are a very busy family, so please do not think you can learn to ride here. The riding is generally not included as work, rather a privilege. Riding around our beautiful hill farm is regularly available for the right riders. We take the horses to the beach sometimes also, which is a special spot.
General help with the horses, garden, farm or house and cooking. We welcome people who love to cook! No two days are the same! Some days may be full days work and then a free day or more to relax or look around the area. We encourage... more inside

We are looking for a strong guy (or gal) who is capable with days of physical work outside who has common sense and can be given tasks to complete on their own.

We live approximately 20 minutes out of Christchurch on a beautiful lifestyle block. We have horses, sheep and often a couple of cattle beasts. We also have an array of birdlife, including ducks, ducklings and peacocks and hens as well as a cat, White Cat (who is deaf). Additionally our son has recently adopted a young German Shepard.

Our eldest daughter and partner live in our stable flat, our middle daughter is a ski racer so is in and out during the year and our son has recently moved back home.

Having your own transport is ideal, however there is a bus at the end of the road that will take you into town and then you can travel all around Christchurch from there. You can visit the beautiful Akaroa and the many vineyards and cafes. We are relatively close to the new mountain biking adventure park where you ca... more inside

We are now looking for helpers
We are lucky enough to live on a 10 acre life style block situated in North Canterbury . We have horses which are used primarily for dressage, show jumping and eventing. We have a lovely property with a large easy care garden!
It is always great to have some help in the garden, general weeding and spraying, but what I mainly need is help exercising and caring for our horses. So we would love to hear from helpers that are really experienced capable horse people! Especially those that have riding experience in dressage, show jumping and or eventing!!
Our horses are competition horses and young horses, so this means that they are not "school horses" so we CAN NOT have helpers that are beginner riders or inexperienced riders!!
We are looking for help from now on.
We have 4 children, 2 are school age and 2 are finished with school and are studying away from home!
We are non smokers!! And would prefer helpers that are non smokers :-)
So for 4 hour... more inside

Hi! We have a lifestyle property in the wine growing region of north canterbury, Waipara.

We run a few sheep, pet cows and horses which are all friendly and you can help us with if you like! We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Due to a lack of time the property needs some maintenance and we need help with gardening, removing drought damaged trees and general help with the animals and tidying up.

We are looking for an outgoing and easygoing person or couple who can help clear branches, weed whack, assist with cleaning up. If you have farm or chainsaw experience we would love to hear from you.

We can offer the use of a modern comfortable house bus with own shower and kitchen (queen size bed only). Breakfast will be supplied and shared lunch and dinner. Usually with meat and produce from the block.

We like helpers to offer 5 hours a day, 5 days a week with all meals supplied. You will be working alongside us most days.

We are a Christian Home Schooling family. Our home is in Waipara - a large wine growing region. Waipara is 45 mins from Christchurch, 45 mins from Hanmer Springs and 1.5 hrs from Kaikoura. We are on the main highway, so easy access via car, hitch hiking, or bus.
Having your own car would be a plus.
We have a large organic vegetable garden, herb garden, chickens and two cats.

We have a large family - 6 children living at home ranging in age from 7-21. We can accommodate one or two singles or a couple, sleeping in a 'sleep out' on a double bunk bed. (Double on bottom, single on the top) Toilet facilities are inside the main house, not too far from the 'Sleep Out'

Work would include gardening - lawn mowing, shifting compost, weeding and general out door work. General house work - (Spring cleaning!) and cooking - if you love to cook.

We love meeting new people and our children are involved with a lot of community activities

Nestled in the beautiful Southern Alps is the historic settlement of Cass (approx half way between Christchurch and Greymouth). I am offering private accommodation (separate from the house with own bathroom)in exchange for odd jobs - painting, gardening and lawn mowing.
There is plenty to do in the area including fishing on many of the nearby high country lakes (1.6 km to Lake Sarah) day walks/ tramping in Arthurs Pass National Park and Craigieburn forest Park, skiing on one of the 5 local ski fields, four wheel driving, Scree jumping (down Sugar Loaf). A short drive to Cave stream scenic reserve (one of the south Islands best free activities) and Castle Hill natural rock climbing park (where scenes from Lord of the Rings and Narnia were filmed). Other nearby facilities are The Bealy Hotel (10mins) and Arthurs Pass 20mins. In exchange I would like four hours work per day. Cass can be reached by car, bike the Transalpine train, or transport providers such as Atomic Travel Shut... more inside
