We live in a small cottage on the banks of the Clutha river 1.5km out of Roxburgh. I milk our house cow daily and love to grow our own vegetables and the summer is a busy time preserving fruit and making chutney. Have a beautiful cottage garden which includes an out door bath tub and a cob pizza oven. Would love some help to keep on top of garden over the spring as well as housekeeping . Would love someone from the 24th of October onwards to help with some light house work and restoring a lovely old office desk. Nothing to strenuous and there is also garden work for those that would prefer to work outdoors. We have a five year old so please child friendly preferred. We would also prefer females due to the nature of our small cottage. We live very close to the cycle trail so it's perfect for anyone wanting to take advantage of the cycle trails we have on offer in our scenic valley. We would be looking for fours hours work for five days of the week but we would be very flexible... more inside

Hello,

We are looking for helpers over the next couple of weeks.

The main jobs will be some help with preparation painting and wallpapering of a small house. Depending on dates there maybe some help required in garden.

Would suit single traveller, two friends or a couple.

Any building or renovation experience would be great but we are more importantly looking for people with good attitude, work hard and we will look after you well.

Sophie will work with you sometimes but we have a young baby so there will be times you are working by yourself.

Lots to see and do our sheep and beef farm and also within the Catlin's area, walking, wildlife and the sea on our doorstep.

Accomodation is a very comfortable self contained cottage near to our house so you can have you own space.
We expect 4-5 hours work per day for food and accommodation. Normally we ask for help from 8.30am to 12.30pm although we can be flexible to this and also flexible to working more hours in one d... more inside

Looking for helpers to stay for 7 nights from Friday 20 October to Friday 27 October.

In exchange for the this you will get 7 nights accommodation in a comfortable room in our cottage and all meals.

Your room has lovely bush views, a queen bed and your own bathroom. Unlimited internet and use of our house. The cottage has the most amazing views - the photos of the sunrise and cruise ship were taken from our lounge :)

Hi there,

We are looking for some help getting our garden landscaping sorted coming into our NZ summer.

We have planting, digging and general tidying up to do around the property. This will include planting new plants, transplanting some plants, mulching and doing some general garden maintenance.

We would love to host a couple with gardening/ landscaping experience.

We live centrally just 10 minutes drive from the airport, the supermarket and central Queenstown.

We are in our 40's, have a 12 year old daughter and a new born baby has just been added to the mix.

Accomodation is downstairs with your own bathroom within the main house that you will share with an au pair.

Expectation is that you will work from 8-12 or 9-1 every day, unless you would like to do a couple of longer 8 hour days say 8-12 then 1pm-5pm and take off a full day/s later in the week.

We are keen to have someone for a week anytime from the 28th October until the 10th November.

This is a 315-hectare privately-owned wetland and important bird habitat, the wetland is protected under a QEII open space covenant and is regarded as the largest and most important privately owned wetland in New Zealand!
The wetland consists of ponds, water channels, swamplands and a couple of re-vegetating islands and hosts over 60 species of birds which live in, or regularly visit the wetland.

In exchange for accommodation we require helpers for maintenance,up keep and enhancement of the wetlands. The wetlands is managed by a non-profit organisation (A Charitable Trust not a business - with minimal funding) unfortunately we are unable to provide food or wi-fi.
However, by choosing an exchange at Sinclair Wetlands your help will have a positive environmental impact, rather than creating a monetary gain for a business. Along the way you will discover what makes conservation in N.Z. so unique.

Work can include: weed eradication, track maintenance, weed releasing, tree plan... more inside

We have three children and run a busy farm. Jobs would involve child care, gardening ,and a little day to day house keeping, also general farm work when needed. Our farm has a lot of sheep and animals so if you're keen on beautiful scenery and have a love of the outdoors, this could be for you.
Also provided is a car to use to explore the area. We are situated on the main highway an hour from queenstown and a hour and a half from Dunedin.
If you would like to experience the rural kiwi lifestyle, and enjoy a relaxed family atmosphere, with plenty of free time to travel and explore this breathtaking part of the world, then this job could be for you. We look forward to hearing from you.
