Fancy waking up to a lovely sea view? We live in a beautiful spot, 10 mins drive from Akaroa, close to Duvauchelle and just over an hour from Christchurch. We can offer lovely accommodation separate to our house to one or two people willing to lend a hand with general spring clean/ DIY/ gardening duties. 4 and a half hours (hard) work every day in exchange for accommodation and (good!) food -whether you are a meat eater/vegetarian.

Gnnerally, stays of a few nights or a week are usually more suitable for us than long term helpers although we have had some exceptional helpers who stayed for longer periods and this may be a possibility. We can pick up from the Akaroa Shuttle and sometimes Christchurch.

We have lots to do in the garden: digging, weeding planting, clearing etc. Sometimes, but not so often, we need help with general spring cleaning: house washing, window cleaning, shed tidy.
We could do with some help with garden work before to get things ready for spring. ... more inside

**Enjoy farm life at it's best**

Right now it's Spring, with lots of lambs and calves about so a beautiful time on the farm.

We are currently looking for one or two people to come and help about the place.

About us - we are a family of five with three children aged 5, 7 & 9 yrs. We live in Lavericks Bay, where we run a 1500 hectare sheep and cattle farm, and tourist accommodation in the form of a glamping site - www.canopycamping.co.nz/listings/banks-peninsula/

Lavericks Bay is about 35 min from the historic township of Akaroa, and 1.75hrs from Christchurch. Lavericks Bay has a population of nine people (five being us) so there is plenty of peace and quiet. We also have a lovely sandy, safe swimming beach where you may spot seals, Hector Dolphins, our resident Yellow Eyed Penguin, and plenty of other birdlife. We have a kayak you may also use which is great fun for exploring and surfing in the waves, weather permitting!

You will be required to do about four hours... more inside

We need help immediately with firewood and generally helping on the farm.
If you are experienced with using a chainsaw that would be fantastic!
Also gardening, weed eating/strimming.
We live in a beautiful quiet valley close to Akaroa.
You have your own hut in the garden with a queen sized bed and WiFi.
We prefer people who are over 24 years, mature, happy to help with dishes, cooking and have experience with HelpX.

Good English is essential.

We have 3 young children and live in beautiful Little Akaloa by the sea. We run a small sheep farm and Olive grove.
We have a brand new sleep out with a kitchen unit, ensuite and a super comfy double bed!
We would require help on the farm and in the garden as we have quite a big property to maintain.
If you like kids, animals, the sea and want to live in a sleepy little bay on Banks Peninsula this is the place for you.

Kia Ora.
We love sharing our paradise on a privately owned wildlife reserve with helpers from all over the world. It gives us the chance of virtual travel, learning about so many different countries.

Most of the help we need throughout the year is to maintain our gardens and orchards around the homestead. We operate sustainably which requires intensive labour and results in healthy food to share.

If you can help, we can offer accommodation as we have a rustic self-contained cabin for your use. We can supply some homegrown food, however, you will need to be prepared to provide some of your own meals.

We are both kiwis who have a passion for the natural environment. We can share the flora and fauna of Banks Peninsula, a stunning swimming beach, fresh eggs, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and choices of walking tracks through native bush on Banks Peninsula's "wildside".

The people we would like to share this place with will be nature lovers, especially those keen to get o... more inside

I am a retired chiropractor with a large house and garden 325 metres above the Southern Bays on Banks peninsula, near Christchurch. There is a separate sleep out and bathroom,so one has plenty of privacy and the work is simply helping to keep the house and grounds maintained. It is isolated and beautiful. One is expected to put in 4 hours work for room and board but am willing to negotiate the other 4 hours. Total flexibility
I have been told by helpers that my description was rather terse, so am now trying to be more expansive.I have lived and was educated in both Europe and the States, but am now a happy and proud Kiwi. If you have other questions,or are interested in staying while in the Christchurch area, please let me know, and we will work something out. Peace.

We have a 180 cow dairy farm. We also have four young children so lead very busy lives. You will be helping with cleaning, feeding calves, some sheep work, fencing, firewood, some housework and childcare etc.

We live in a beautiful part of New Zealand. There are heaps of gorgeous beaches for you to explore and Akaroa is only a 15 minute drive away.

We host a French University student every July to early October so we can't take anyone over that time. We also only have room for one person at a time.

We need one person now for a minimum of a month. The first three hours of work each day pay for your room and keep and after that any extra will be paid. We really want someone who is willing to stick around and learn the ropes, be a part of the family and help us out over the busy time. If this sounds like you, give us a call.

We live in an awesome part of the country on the Banks Peninsula close to Christchurch and Akaroa.
We have a 1 acre spray free garden with fruit trees, vegetable gardens, glass house and tunnel house and need help with tidying up the garden .... Work is mainly weeding and cutting back plants, as they are growing so rapidly now in the Spring time and some help may be needed inside the house.........
We are a family of 4, with 2 boys, 6 and 9 years old. It is great if you like children. We are vegetarians so vegetarians are very welcome. Your accommodation is very comfortable and separate from our house so private and quiet for you.
We prefer helpers over 25 years, couples and singles are welcome. We look forward to hosting and meeting you soon.
Arielle and Philippe
