Hi There Helpers,

We have a small flock of sheep, a hobby vineyard and a good sized garden and are looking for one helper to start anytime now. The priority at the moment is the vineyard, the work is easy and pleasant. There will also be a small amount of housework each day, sometimes some meal preparation. There could be some gardening and other farm work but mostly in the vineyard.
We are looking for someone able to start on 20th February.

Our property runs from the road down to a small beach where we keep a couple of kayaks helpers can use or just swim, walk and enjoy our beautiful little bay.

Robyn works four days a week at the local YMCA so you would be working with Peter most of the time.

We would like you to work five hours a day with us(or whatever suits us both) in return for a room and good healthy, varied meals. Peter loves cooking on the barbeque and sharing his knowledge of grape growing and making his own wine and beer.

If you don't have your own tr... more inside

I have a small flat in a beautiful location - Mt Pleasant. Surrounded by a native reserve and great views. It is a very small flat - just one bedroom, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom & laundry. The flat is located underneath the main house that is rented out. Also it has a small fenced off section and garden.

The flat is rustic made from recycled materials and simple. But the surrounding area is really beautiful with native reserve and walking track going down the valley and only 15 mins to town or beaches also. And amazing views over the reserve, valley and ocean.

I haved moved into another house in Christchurch and need someone to stay at the flat in a house sitting/ helpex opportunity. I need people to help cut down all the gorse and broom on the attached section. Please allow for at least 2 hour per day to do this, then also to keep the flat and garden clean and tidy.

Then I have a lot of trees I am growing so just need to turn on the irrigation system for half an hour every ni... more inside

Fancy waking up to a lovely sea view? We live in a beautiful spot, 10 mins drive from Akaroa, close to Duvauchelle and just over an hour from Christchurch. We can offer lovely accommodation separate to our house to one or two people willing to lend a hand with general spring clean/ DIY/ gardening duties. 4 and a half hours (hard) work every day in exchange for accommodation and (good!) food -whether you are a meat eater/vegetarian.

Gnnerally, stays of a few nights or a week are usually more suitable for us than long term helpers although we have had some exceptional helpers who stayed for longer periods and this may be a possibility. We can pick up from the Akaroa Shuttle and sometimes Christchurch.

We have lots to do in the garden: digging, weeding planting, clearing etc. Sometimes, but not so often, we need help with general spring cleaning: house washing, window cleaning, shed tidy.
We could do with some help with garden work before to get things ready for Summer. ... more inside
