* Now it is summer works time in the vineyard. Weeding in the veggie garden, housework and cooking is ongoing :-)*
- St Imre is a vineyard one hour South of Hobart in the small but beautiful town of Dover. Dover has everything one needs: supermarket, cafe, pharmacy, bank, bottle shop, police, doctor's surgery, high school to 10 years etc. The beach is 20 minutes walk through town, the mountain is behind us. Our property has the vineyard, natural forest, pastures, veggie garden, lakes and creeks. Our wild life and the birds come visiting right to the front door :-)
- We are flexible with work hours. Some days we work all day in the vineyard/veggie garden, some days we just clean the house, cook/bake or do something in the cellar, serve customers or visit friends, sit and talk, read a book or go for a walk etc. You will be treated as PART OF THE FAMILY, so the help we require is not really like a "job". While with us, you will live the life of a country farmer.
- We prefer peopl... more inside

Hi, my name is Claire.
I'm 51, a part-time painter, decorator and landscaper who enjoys meeting people and helping make your stay a delightful treasured experience.

Welcome to my secluded eco-wilderness home, gateway to the Tarkine. I built the place from scratch, starting off in a tent 20 years ago in a desire to be as self-sufficient as possible. The solar powered chalet, crafted mainly from timber off the property, is furnished with comfy old world charm and modern amenities. Nestled in landscaped gardens on the banks of the pristine Hook Creek in the Shakespeare Hills and just a 15min drive to beaches and Rocky Cape National Park, this private 50 acre rainforest property is the perfect getaway for those seeking to experience and learn about establishing and living off the grid with solar power and slow combustion stove whilst having a unique wilderness adventure.

Iím wanting to host either a single or couple to help around house and garden and hear and learn about other... more inside

Farming, fishing on the seafront in beautiful Tasmania.
Our farm uses polyculture, permaculture, organic and wholistic farming principles, our aim is to ever increase our ability to work with nature for the benefit of the land, animals and people. This is a working progress.

Our location is amazing beautiful sea views, great beaches, excellent national parks with fantastic walks to explore in spare time.

We farm free range pigs and chickens, plus we like fishing, so seafood will be on menu. We also farm organic vegetables, so plenty of fresh food

Have young son 6 years old so if you love kids thats a big bonus!

Minimum stay of 1 month, longer welcome and no smokers please.

As well as volunteer work we also have paid work at the moment, Second year visa eligible, 6 months full-time work for 1 person..

I look forward to hearing from you :)

Peter and I live in a small coastal suburb called Margate. It's is 22km from Hobart city centre. We have a dog called Humphrey, chickens, three sheep, goldfish and a large vegetable patch.
We would love to have someone help us with gardening, weeding, painting, spraying, wood chopping and general handyman maintenance in return for some yummy meals and accomodation.
The bus is in easy walking distance (about 3km away). We both travel into the city every day and could do drop offs or pick ups.
Flexible work hours (4 hours per day) and free wifi.
