Immediate availability for October!
Hello from Dave and Jan!
DO YOU REALLY LOVE DOGS? WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE WITH US AS PART OF OUR FAMILY?
We have 3 lovely dogs, a cat, chickens, turkeys, ducks, a pig and sheep.
Our house is a dog hotel, with dogs staying for their holidays or just for the day. The dogs are all in the house with us, so we prefer you to have some experience with dogs. You will have to walk them whatever the weather, feed them and clean up after them. We also have a cattery where cats stay for their holidays.
You will be working with the animals, gardening, painting, cleaning the house, chopping wood etc. There is always plenty to do so we guarantee that you will not be bored! There is a chance to learn about training dogs in various activities.
You will be well fed with meat and vegetables from our garden where possible. We enjoy good food and conversation around the table, and hope you have a good sense of humour!! We also like to try food cooked by our he... more inside

***PAINTING PARTY ***
Hey everyone!
We are looking for multiple volunteers to come and join us from 10th November to restore the sparkle to our hostel! We will be painting our rooms within the building and are looking for volunteers for either the whole or part of the 4 day working holiday.

Volunteers would need to arrive at 10:30am on Friday 10th Nov to help take down bunk beds and clear bedrooms of the furniture. We will need to prep the rooms and may need to do some cleaning first before getting the paint out. The Saturday and Sunday will be spent painting and glossing where needed. On Monday, the bunk beds and furniture would need to go back in.

We are offering free accommodation for the whole weekend and discounted meals at 2 per dish. Free Wi-Fi and bathroom facilities available throughout our hostel.

Wearing old clothes that you don't mind getting covered in paint is highly recommended. All tools will be provided. Hope you can join us!!!

Are you available in November, for 3-4 weeks? Would you like to spend part of your stay in London and the other part in the Norfolk countryside? Have you got some DIY skills and do you like dogs/cats? Is your English of intermediate level or above? I am looking for a disciplined and hard-working person to help with the following: a range of maintenance jobs in the house, some furniture moving, removing bathroom tiles, taking down/putting up shelving and various other jobs. The work will be based in London part of the time and Norfolk part of the time (where there will also be some woodcutting, painting and gardening). Dog and cat are part of the family - so you need to like animals, not have any allergies etc. In return I can offer a nice environment, good, home-cooked food and help with your English as I am an English teacher. If you are preparing for an English exam or need better English for job applications, this could be a good opportunity for you. I look forward to... more inside

I may have a vacancy during December. If interested, I can put you on my waiting list and confirm later. Also, now taking bookings for February 2018 onwards.
I am a semi retired teacher with a love of the countryside, my animals, wildlife, cycling, art, music and dancing. I have a small grassland holding for my 4 horses. Beautiful cottage and annexe with pretty garden. Walking distance to the sea (if the tide's in!). 7 miles from Boston, a small market town and 20 miles from Skegness, a popular seaside resort. There are buses to these towns, but it's quite a long walk to the bus stop. ((We really are very rural). Our nearest train station is in Boston, which can be reached via either Grantham or Peterborough from most towns with nearby airports.
Help needed with grassland management, horse care and gardening, domestic and DIY tasks in exchange for accommodation and meals.
Lovely flat fenland countryside walks, bird watching, cycling and possibly horse riding. Flexible hours... more inside

We are looking for a group of dynamic, fun, imaginative, creative, artistic people to join our community design studio. You will be helping children and adults, unleash their creativity and get to grips with recycling and upcycling. No specific skills necessary, simply a positive approach, limitless enthusiasm and a knack for making work fun and imaginative. Our workshop has a community cafe attached, so any experience as a barista, pizza chef or kitchen helper welcomed. You will be helping part of the time with children and we will run a CRB check. Artists are very welcome to apply! We are a couple with two children, we used to be journalists, we drive an old London taxi as our family car, we were Londoners who moved to Morocco for several years, now we are back in the UK, expecting to open our design studio in this beautiful rural town in mid November. We are based in a Grade II* Romantic Gothic mansion located just south of the English Lake District. It is situated in 70 acres of woodland and gardens on the shores of Morecambe Bay. It provides a quiet and reflective environment for a meaningful break.

The help required is varied and might include cooking, helping in the garden, household, doing office tasks, decorating etc. We also have various building projects at present that you could get involved in. We are always interested to hear about any specific skills you may be able to offer.
