We run a yurt camp site, with 4 Yurts and a Shepherd's Hut. We're looking for a competent person or a couple who can help us with the yurts (a "Green" environmentally award winning site which we've been running for 8 years), as well as work in the meadow, around the garden and maintaining the farm buildings.

We (Kim and Nick) live in Suffolk, in the East of England, in a 17th century renovated farmhouse and have a small, elderly, dog - no other animals. The house and our 5 acres is is very rural; buses run past the front door to the nearest town of Halesworth (3 miles) with good shops and an arts centre, and beyond to the beach at Southwold and to Beccles, a bustling town at the southern end of the Norfolk Broads. There's a station 2 miles away, a bus stop (one mile away) to the lively city of Norwich and we have bicycles to borrow. Our village of Westhall is quiet with a small shop and village hall - it will help if you feel comfortable keeping yourself occupied when not wor... more inside

We are a family with a friendly Springer spaniel and hens who live in the Yorkshire Dales, 7 miles from Skipton and Grassington and 5 miles from Malham Cove. Local attractions and places of interest include Bolton Abbey, Burnsall, Malham Cove (limestone pavement featured on Harry Potter where peregrine falcons are nesting), Kettlewell and there are many interesting walks along the river, on the fells, moors and Dalesway footpath. We are also on the white rose cycle route. There is an abundance of wildlife and birds and on clear nights the stars are beautiful. The area is steeped in history and we could point you in the direction of some 16th Century Pubs including the awesome Craven Arms famous for fantastic locally sourced food complete with a replica Cruck barn.

We live in a semi detached house which isn't huge but we have a spare room with a day bed that can accommodate a single person. We have shared bathroom facilities. There is a TV in the bedroom (we do not watch TV du... more inside

This is a homestay in Hampshire, surrounded by open countryside and with a large garden.

My name's Anthony; born in the UK in the 1950s I moved from London to Hampshire in October 2014.

If you are looking for a stay in the Spring or Summer of 2018 please let me know; especially if you're keen on garden projects.

There is a variety of work to do here. When the weather is good enough we will be looking after the garden; clearing the weeds, tending the vegetable patch, chopping wood, cutting the grass, raking up the leaves, planting shrubs and trimming hedges. Inside the house there will be general cleaning and helping to prepare meals. Usually we would work as a team but it helps if you can self-motivate and work alone sometimes.

You have your own room and all meals provided, in return for just a few hours of work on five days a week; plenty of free time each day and days off to go to London or other places. I only have one room available for one Helpxer at a time (see ph... more inside

Yule Blessings :-)

For someone interested in dogs, dog training and behaviour rehabilitation.

Stay in a farmhouse and help to look after trained Sled dogs and Sheep dogs. You can also learn about dog training, handling, grooming and sometimes helping to raise puppies, in your spare time.

The work is basic, cleaning out the kennels, refreshing water bowls, carrying buckets, walking the dogs 2 times a day ( First thing in the morning, and again in the afternoon ), and then letting the dogs out again last thing each night just before bedtime, and a little help around the farm and in the house if needed, sawing or carrying logs to the house for the fire, washing up etc.

4 hours of work a day maximum - 2 hours in the morning, & 1 1/2 hours in the afternoon and 1/2 hour last thing to put the dogs to bed for the night.
In exchange for Brunch and evening meal, mostly vegetarian. Tea available all day :-)

Immediate start only.

I'm easy-going, well travelled, live in inner city London (Hackney) with a crazy cute black cat. It's peaceful house, and I work from home.

Looking go for someone who can clear/organise clutter and who also can do some painting & some gardening. DIY skills are advantageous.

Also, looking for a plumber/electrician or general construction skills. In recognition of your skills I may be able to help towards your travel costs. Please ask.

Happy to host folks who're focussed, hardworking and can work independently and fast. Preference for those over 25, who'd enjoy a peaceful environment.

You'll be working 25 hours a week, and cooking your own meals. Ingredients provided.

Its important to note that although I am around, often I'm busy and also spending time with my partner so the social interaction I'm able to offer can be limited.

However, the house is in inner-city London and there are a huge amount of free activities that can be found ... more inside

We are looking for people from February 2018 and for the rest of the year.

Whilst we do prefer longer stays we will occasionally take people for as little as 3 weeks. But not less than 3 weeks.

We have a small holding in Devon where we keep poultry (Chickens, various ducks, and geese) and bees. We also have cats who share our house. We have a small orchard and a Kitchen Garden plus an acre of gardens. The poultry are not for eating, but do provide us with a plentiful supply of eggs.
Although not self sufficient in fruit and vegetables we do try to grow what we can, so there is usually fresh veg in season.

All that we do here is on an organic basis often growing heritage varieties of fruit and vegetables.

The help that we need on a daily basis involves care of the poultry:
Letting them out in the morning, 8am, checking they have sufficient clean water, collecting and dating eggs.
Feeding and watering them in the evening and shutting them in their houses. Secondary... more inside
