I am looking for help this winter with both big and small jobs of a practical nature to get several projects going, a stone built shed wants renovating to make a usable space. Hallo and Welcome! S'mae a chroeso!

Current residents include cattle, several chickens, ducks and geese, two Welsh Cobs, two cats and one or two humans...

There is also loads of wildlife including buzzards, foxes - and of course slugs...

Lots to do!

This description has grown longer and longer, so here are the essentials:
*Stays are usually for a max of 1 week at least initially. Longer stays are possible but let's see first how we all get on :)
*You need to bring: sleeping bag, wellies, torch, warm clothes and waterproofs.
And please note I don't check emails or Helpx every day - be patient!

Currently need help to:
- fence around young fruit trees so they are protected from livestock
- clean out and restore old sheep run
- fix guttering on barn (needs someone with a head for heights!)
- repair dry stone walls (great skill to learn!)

Almost time to start coppicing and restoring overgrown woodland. Some of the branches can then be used to protect hedgebank... more inside

We are a working farm and holiday park above Monkstone beach and within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. There is a small young team here full time.

We are looking for one or two people to help on the farm and park. You will be required to do a variety of jobs including working with the team, helping with farm work especially lambing, helping with feeding animals, gardening, cleaning and D.I.Y. Overall you need to be enthusiastic, motivated and use your initiative. We will provide everything so you will be happy and can enjoy your time here. Its a great place!!!

Visiting Pembrokeshire and in particular staying here would suit people who enjoy the outdoors, nature, hiking, water sports etc. There is so much to do in the surrounding area.

We have a lovely small holding which is half broadleaved woodland, half pasture, with a stream running right by the house, 2 ponds, large veggie garden, orchard, greenhouse, small herd of rare breed cattle, sheep, dogs and bees! (See photos below of a 2011 help-xer with one of our lambs and 2013 help-xers cleaning out the pond!)

We would like help with looking after the animals including our active dogs, woodland management, gardening, preparation and maintenance of grazing land, weeding, planting, harvesting, general maintenance, perhaps light decorating, ironing when it's raining....and whatever crops up! We expect some help around the house such as washing up after dinner and perhaps cooking the occasional meal.

We offer accommodation in a refurbished 16th century cottage which is connected to the main house (see photo of room below). This will mean help-xers have their own sleeping & bathroom area tho' occasionally we may have other guests staying. You will see f... more inside

***Are you looking to practice your roundwood timber framing skills with some smaller projects, like an outdoor kitchen or a garden shed? We're looking for someone, perhaps who's taken a short course, who might be able to come and help us on a couple of small roundwood timber framing projects this winter... ***

Nestled in the green rolling hills where Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire meet, Bronhaul is a peaceful, diverse and abundant place where we are working to regenerate land, people and community... We invite you to come and pitch in and be part of the development here, and lend your creativity, expertise and ideas to the momentum that is growing!

Bronhaul ('Sunny Bank' in Welsh) is a small-scale family farm and permaculture project of 25 acres, where we grow our own food, farm livestock, manage a sustainable woodland and offer four holiday cottages and bell tents for regenerative breaks. We are experimenting with regenerative farming techniques and permaculture methods,... more inside

This is a quirky B&B set in a 19th century church in the mountain village of Capel Curig in Snowdonia National Park.

Travellers can enjoy fantastic hiking, climbing and mountain biking in the surrounding countryside and when at home they can chill in a lovely space and occasionally go in the hot tub or play table tennis or pool beneath a fabulous 19th century mosaic ceiling? The church is right in the middle of the Snowdonia's mountains so is a great place to stay in exchange for help!

I am looking for someone to help out approx 30 hours per week; the main jobs will be in the B&B cooking breakfast and doing rooms, ironing, washing, cleaning etc.. but my partner is a photographer and occasionally needs an assistant on a job. If you are a very competent rider and can jump about a 1m then you might be able to occasionally ride.

The church is often full at the weekend with self catering guests and then we go away to a flat near the sea. The flat is very basic but the location... more inside

We do have a fair quantity of timber and branches that needs to be cut up into logs. Although the garden is well maintained there are places where it has been overgrown and needs some tender care.

Besides the garden I do have a well equipped engineering workshop capable of handling metal working and wood working. I have, in hand, a 200 year old pitch pine Welsh dresser that is half restored and needs some tender love and care!

We now seem to be in better health but we do need some assistance in maintaining the garden and outbuildings. We would prefer to take on a male/female couple who would enjoy our company as well as their own!

We live in a very beautiful part of the Dee Valley within sight of the Snowdonia mountains.

We can accommodate in a separate wing of the house, with Jacuzzi, shower etc. Two bedrooms comprising one double bedded room and the other is a twin bedded room. Both Muriel and I are very good cooks and enjoy company and wine!
We do have two cats... more inside

we are a hill farm in a beautifull part of North East Wales. We are looking for an extra pair of hands to help with some housework and gardening. We like our helpers to feel at home and get a good balance of helping in the house , garden and also helping on the farm if they wish to do so. We also like our helpers to get enough time to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of the country. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested or have any questions.
