The project is also currently being filmed for a TV series with final filming in late January. We have several rooms which have been finished, and your accommodation would be a hotel quality room with king size bed and en-suite. We are a grass based dairy farm in county Kilkenny, there are lots of animals here - Dogs, hens, cats, peacocks and cows of course!
We live in a house built in the 1700ís surrounded by beautiful mature trees and a walled garden.

This is a house of six with four grown up children coming and going as they travel and study and sometimes work on the farm. We love where we live, enjoy farming, country lifestyle and working with animals. We also enjoy visitors and welcome their stories and lifestyles.

We offer Helpxers comfortable accommodation, excellent food and a genuine welcome.

We have a positive and welcoming attitude towards people and we appreciate that some people start with very little experience. Some of our best helpers have been first-timers. But we do expect applicants to provide some evidence that they are able to make a useful work contribution in return for our hospitality. This means you need to tell us about things you have done that show you are har... more inside

I have an organic garden with poly-tunnel and an ornamental garden
Out in the country kind of life style
Experience self sufficiency here, and sustainable living, where food comes from, how water and the house is heated
I produce my own electricity from Solar panels and a water turbine
Main things to do are around the garden, weeding, transplanting, grass cutting and so on.
There is also wood chipping gathering and stacking wood. We go down to the sea nearby and collect seaweed.
Accommodation is in an another house near the main house, there is room upstairs for 2 people sharing. It does not have central heating but a masonry wood stove you can fire up once a day to keep the damp out. Also I have a caravan near the stream when there is a couple in the guest house
All meals are in the main house. Breakfast you make your self and we share lunch and dinner.
I have a keen interest in Self sufficiency and sustainable living

this means also turning off switches and... more inside
