Hi, we are Malcolm and Edward and we run a small B&B in Central France, and would like some help please to get a new kitchenette done and a fire pit dug.

If you are interested in a long or short term stay, please tell us when you want to come.

We have a lovely double room with en-suite toilet and shower. We have bikes for you to use. If it is something you would like to do please email us and do contact us for transport options, eg, Ryan Air, Trains. Thanks.Edward and Malcolm

Malcolm and I have been here since July 2003 and have renovated this house and done the garden in that time , it took us 2 1/2 years to renovate so we could open as a B&B, we have 4 rooms and can take up to 12 people.
We have had some great helpers and hope to meet some more.

I know we are off the beaten track but Argenton is 8 Km away and the Loire Valley with loads of Chateaux are only an hour away by car.
All the best and happy volunteering.

********** June2016 update ********
received bad review from strange helper... Just look our others reviews to make your own opinion... A HELPER WOULD BE WELCOME IN OCTOBER...
***********************************************

Located on the south-west coast of France, we own an old farm . We (Daniel and Patricia) will host you in a convivial atmosphere for two ,three weeks minimum.
Our English is not fluent (we are a french couple) so we'd expect you to try and speak French as often as you can, our English being here to help you in cases. You would notice that we do love animals as on the property are: cats, great danes, jack-russels, 3 horses, donkeys, chickens, pigeons (and sorry for the ones I'd have forgotten).
We offer a bedroom with 1 kingsize bed wireless access and your own TV. There is also a bike that you can borrow in the afternoons and discover the surrounds.

Dear Helper,
Welcome to La Vermilliere!

We are a young (in spirit and mind) French-Argentinian-International couple, Annette & Alé, that after backpacking, moving and living all around the world for many years, are living now in France, in a farm (La Vermillière) at the heart of the "Parc Naturel du MARAIS POITEVIN" (Grand Site de France), at the edge of La Banche river.

In order to get an appropriated answer, please read the entire description, and when you contact us, answer to the question we ask at the end.

Our place is near to La Rochelle, Ile de Re, Atlantic sea side...

Eight years ago, we bought a XVI century old farm, to renovate it, and we are still working on it, in order to propose B&B with full accessibility.

Our goal is to reach a self-sufficient and sustainable life style, and to share our way of life with helpers and friends. We believe this is our way to make a better world.

We own several kinds of poultry, such as ducks, geese, hens, roosters and ... more inside

We also would like help with looking after our animals - dog walking, grooming, feeding, kennel cleaning & picking up poo. Looking after the hens and ducks - feeding, egg collection etc.

Current building projects include pointing walls, sanding & treating/varnishing an oak floor, painting & decorating, repainting existing kitchen units and installing in our new kitchen, other carpentry such as making/painting shutters, fitting doors etc, and floor tiling.

Hi, we have lots of work that needs doing, mostly general maintenance, but also more skilled, such as electric's, plumbing and roofing. At the moment the barn roof is the most urgent. We are hoping to start on this in the Spring when we need to take off old tiles, repair/replace timbers and then put corrugated roof panels on. After that just cover with some of the tiles. If you have any experience of roofing or general building and don't mind heights and fancy a few weeks break in France in the Spring (it can be lovely weather from about February onwards) then please get in touch. We have plenty of room here for you and in return for your work we will supply bed and meals plus a few beers! If you are a couple then there could possibly be work for two people, I need some rooms decorated and help sorting out all our "junk!" .

Hello fellow travellers!

If you want to stay only 1 week, 2, 3, 4 … weeks you’re welcome but you may also come for a longer period. We have also one young horse who need to start working so people with some horse experience are welcome!

My goal is to learn English and to share with you the knowledge of the french language.
Most importantly I would like to improve my English so it would be best if you speak only a little french.

My name is Ghislaine and I operate since more than 15 years a Bed & Breakfast in a small and peaceful village in the countryside, named Saint Paul, located in the region of Vosges. The nearest big city is Nancy (1 hour) and Strasbourg (2 hours). There is public transport to Neufchateau (train/bus) and I can pick you up from there by car.

My house features a big garden, green spaces, 3 private rooms, library, guest rooms,… But It is also an original homestead with sheep yards, woolshed and maintenance sheds, paddocks etc.

I’m living in thi... more inside
